  1. We need to definately give Tice credit. As much as we've all ripped him for his failures, we must own his successes to be impartial. They better own up on the OL talent though.
  2. Amen! While I admire Lovie and Co's optimism regarding players and their abilities, there seem to be a bit of arogance that goes with it. Do they really continually think they know something the rest of the NFL world doesn't?
  3. Wow, you've identified what we've been discussing all week...lol
  4. Though I believe no QB could have helped us in that game, he is the type I believe we should have as backup. You know, someone who can run for his life...
  5. Absolutely not. What's left according to my list? A = OL and coaching. Was just trying to make a point by process of elimination. Funny thing is, that would have been my answer 5 years ago. My contention has always been, you never know what you have on offense with a bad OL and ineffective coaching...
  6. Lucky, Check your math. Out of the top 20 tackles, 13 of them are left. Out of the 13, 9 were 1st rounders. That's 69% not 27.
  7. You know Lovie and Tice said it was all good.
  8. My question again? WHAT ELSE NEEDS FIXED ON OFFENSE??? Everything else has been addressed. It's down to QB, OL or staff.
  9. I don't think Carimi is a bust yet. I'm convinced he's not recovered from his surgery yet. He looks 20-25 lbs light. That's often what happens when trying to heal something that doesn't heal fast enough. The best thing to do is always take weight off. Carimi needs to hit the weight room and the dinner table this off season. If he comes in that light in the ass again, he will bust.
  10. Worrying about backup QB is the least of our problems. What backup QB on earth could have done a damn thing last night?(maybe a kid who can run) Campbell sucked last week too. People lost their job last year because our backup plan was so horrible. Was it the backup plan or was it the OL was just F'n horrible? We need new recievers, check. Sign Forte and backup, check. Sign backup for Cutty, check? Sign 5 horrible TE's, check. Sign a bunch of STer's, check. What's left? OL... I disagreed to the above mentioned plan when it unfolded, with the exception of Bush. I'm hoping Emery isn't JA 2.0.
  11. Their OL was terrible with Tebow because their were 10 men in the box. Good QB's get it down to seven or six. Cutler hovers around 7/8.
  12. 30 k for intentionally drilling a franchise qb and putting him out for a game or two is nothing compared to what we lose.
  13. Good question. My answer is yes. Cutler has had time to hit other targets this year. Often, we armchair quarterbacks yell at the TV saying this guy or that guy is open. I've yelled that a lot this year. These are the things I expected to go away by now. That's why the Houston game was so key for our O. Looks like may be the GB game if Cutler misses SF.
  14. How about tackle eligible? TE is no threat in our O anyway...
  15. Agreed on all. Put Spaeth in there as well.(suck category) This game was a further indictment on our offensive coordinator. The game plan was irratic with almost zero adjustment. Collinsworth was begging for the same thing we all were. Some were questioning the Campbell signing, saying the money could have been spent elsewhere. Godspeed Alshon. Hey Lovie, Daniel Manning made your talent development look incompetant.
  16. I don't agree. Carimi is a tackle, you simply don't draft them in the 1st round to convert them to guard so quickly. He will get his weight and strength up in the off season and become the tackle we drafted him to be. If it doesn't work out, you see the reason several of us clamor for more drafting of talented OL candidates. If it does, the same reasoning applies...
  17. This is a huge game against the best Defense we've faced this year. The offense must show progress to build momentum. This is not a must win, but a must show for the O.
  18. OL you say? I know, you also mentioned QB. But didn't Kolb look pretty good when he played for Philly? They had no receivers the caliber of Fitzgerald, but they did have a pretty good line. Just sayin'...
  19. I agree with your wishes, but also believe all owners meddle when sentiment and money are involved. I don't think they'll overpay too much that we can't get help on OL...
  20. The family is in the business to make money above all else. I'm sure they'll do what they can to keep their two best marketing assets. (even if it means overpaying a little)
  21. Angelo was not an idiot. We are contending with a team he built. But, his lack of OL had me wanting him gone well before the Hanie debacle.
