  1. Since most all GM's and/or owners do it, how can you single out only one? Sorry brother, but THAT is inane. I've actually never used the word, but you did it so much it amused me.
  2. This is bullshit. Old bullshit. The hugging and high fiving go on with every team. You've been given multiple examples of it happening and you continue with the inane. Whether you realize it or not the GM is part of the team. Why wouldn't he want to share his joy with his team. It's a business he and Justin fully understand. Insinuating Poles is compromised because of a hug is utterly ridiculous.
  3. For starters, yes, we need a defensive coordinator. Flus can't continue to spread himself as thin as he did last year. To the point of Flus calling the defense. Who cares, sad long as it works? He only stated that he likes calling the D and it would depend on who he hired. Whether the coordinator calls the plays or not, he still has a ton of work to do. If it were a McCaskey thing, they would have saved the money and not filled the position. This is clearly about building the best staff possible.
  4. Any publicity is good publicity. It portrays the confidence we have in him to potential suitors, giving us more leverage. If he stays, it portrays the same confidence to the team, Justin and the fans. Win win...
  5. When giving a towel snap, it is prudent to proof read...???
  6. Or 3. They were much maligned on the defensive side of the ball and finally made some big plays to help the team win. (Instead of it being the offense)
  7. Looking at the schedule, my full expectation is 10 or 11 wins. That's with Justin. A rookie may or may not stumble.
  8. That's why I said Andre Davis from the Raiders.
  9. I think Samurai Mike would approve. Jordan Morgan is one of the best players in this draft. Groom him at swing until he's ready to start. Gotta fix the OL for good. Justin has no more excuses...
  10. That's the exact thing you are doing. You are choosing to die on a hill that hasn't formed yet. You've taken an unpopular stance with Poles, in which everyone disagrees and you try slip it in whenever you can. Flus, is our coach next year. Your opinion that he can not take us anywhere has been heard. Again, most of us disagree. Lastly, with Fields, I've even stated that HE will never take us anywhere. I still don't see it. But, if they feel he is the guy, I'll mildly disagree and move on untill he fails or succeeds. I can tell you from experience that Grizz will never stop finding that one little thing to jab back at you with. He's a stud at a civil debate. And you're beef with Stinger needs to stop, because he's been as straight of shooter as I've seen on this site. You have completely misunderstood him. You yourself are masterful at presenting an argument, but understand that you aren't the only one. We completely understand what you are saying, so please drop the smartest guy in the room act. We're re all brothers here.
  11. Mike Singletary have his full endorsement to Justin Fields today on GMFB. That one hit me pretty hard...
  12. When did Pace start writing for NBC Chicago?
  13. I think it was a partnership. They brought Harbaugh in twice. Sure, Harbaugh was the key, but he still needs a GM. Even Belichick had a GM to run the front office and scouting.
  14. I find it inane or insane that witnessing a coach, dragging a team out of the muck and stench of a full rebuild, leads ones opinion to failure. Poles hired Flus due to a shared vision of the rebuild. Did Flus make mistakes? Yes. Did he learn from them? Yes again. Are we trending upward when QB play had greater expectations? Yes x3. Flus kept the locker room and they play hard for him. I believe he deserves the whole 4 years of his contract. Something I also find inane/insane is over arguing a point out of the need to be agreed with. Poles and Flus are both new at this. I happen to believe they are getting it right, together. There are many other coaches that have failed and became champions. Belichick, Saban and Carroll come to mind me asking with the aforementioned Vermiel.
  15. They took Scott at 133. The other good receivers were gone by then. We would have missed on Roschon, or Tyrique to get one.
  16. I think he meant we didn't get them.
  17. Actually, it's not a Flus thing, but our defense is actually set up nicely to be a 3-4. All needed is an edge rushing olb. You could move Sanborn back to the inside with Edmonds, then you have Edwards at Will and Sewell for backup. The rest are interchangable. Dexter would be a monster at RDE in a 3-4.
  18. Just think, if you get the right QB, you can be Belichick. Without Brady, he has a career losing record.
  19. He's got some pop to him...
  20. I would do that. However, I would then trade the number two pick for a treasure trove of picks akin to last year. MHJ is a stud, but I think the combine will show that a few receivers will have more speed and separation ability. Not saying they are better, but I really don't think there is much room for MHJ to improve upon, as he has been excellently been trained since peewee league. We could net another number one for next year, Brock Bowers, stud receiver and and edge player with the trade.
  21. Give me Andre James to start. Williams is the bigger name but has an ACL to recover from. James is 26 and doesn't miss time. Second is Danielle Hunter. Third, Calvin Ridley. Knowing WR is deep in this class, having Ridley as a great route runner will be vital. I would love to draft two receivers, one to blow the top off and a big physical possession guy.
  22. Not only is not possible for them. It's dumb as hell for us. Revisionist history tells us trading away picks is not beneficial. We would have to trade them three number ones for Herbert, not just THE number one. Then yes, you are on it. How do you protect the new guy? We already ruined every QB we've had the last thirty years by NOT providing them the protection to do their damn job! Why would we trade for another guy, just to ruin him by trading away capitol?
  23. My guess is that he spends the next couple of weeks looking at team film. Matching the play called with the execution is the critical factor in assessing performance. He will see what Justin saw and didn't see. After that, I would assume he reviews it with Justin. If the decision hasn't already been made, Waldren may be the swing vote. Of course, that's after the combine.
