  1. The difference between Jeffery and the ones you list is pedigree. Jeffery is a second rounder. Luck, RG and Richardson are considered "can't miss" prospects. Jeffery has question marks he will have to answer in TC before he EARNS his position. Of course you may be validated by Lovie "Rex Grossman is our quarterback" Smith.
  2. Fact is: The only reason Manning is no longer with the team is that the brass did not feel there was value in resigning him. I found him to be uninstinctive with a low NFL IQ. Of course, I feel the same about Lovie and Co...
  3. I'm perplexed. It seems like you are supporting Wessons' assertion that bigger recievers do indeed have an advantage. I really don't want to join the debate over who or what is better, because I think great receivers occur in all shapes and sizes. The original post was weather Jeffery is better and more suited to start over Hester.(which I find unfounded due to Jeffereys' lack of EVER playing against NFL DB's)
  4. Oh, my reading comprehension is off the charts, so you'll need not worry about that. I think you need to check the context again... Question: Would you NOT be surprised if he had 12+ sacks?
  5. I'm going to take Carimi & Williams on O. Conte for D.
  6. What if he gets 12+ sacks? He would go from the relative unknown to the next Warren Sapp...

    Bye Week

Recent history has shown we play better after a bye. So I'll take early over late with our guys and staff...
  8. Cutlers day is coming. He gained a tremendous amount of respect from NFL analysts this last season. Another solid season and a playoff berth will do wonders for his rep. Work for real people is the same way. If you are unpopular, that somehow reflects on your ability, which is totally short sided. I'm with you though. Hate the polls.
  9. You did that out of pure boredom, didn't you? Lol
  10. I will self appoint myself judge in this matter. By process of attrition in the season, we lose a couple of receivers to injury or DEA bust; who steps in and plays WR? A = Weems and Thomas. Therefore they are WR's who specialize at ST's. Case solved. Winner = Wesson Now, to the Jeffery case of the board vs Wesson. Winner = board! All verdicts are final!!!
  11. First off, jeffery is not a first rounder. Secondly, how did Jonathan Baldwin, Demaryius thomas, DHB, and Craig Davis fare their rookie years? That's a sample of the first round of the last 4 drafts that had a 1st round wr drafted. Jeffery will not be handed the position. If you think it's proper to do, thats another issue.
  12. He will only start if he earns it. However, he will not have to be better than Hester to take the #2. They will give him some leeway to grow if he is progressing at a satisfactory rate, because of his draft status and potential.
  13. Been saying this for years. That's the reason they should have never fired Ron Turner in favor of Martz. Tice will return to the same philosophy Turner had, but will have better QB, WR and RB to work with. We should consistently win the "time of possession" battle and hopefully rest our D.
  14. Lol! Now that's mileage...
  15. Brady didn't have Leinart stats, but he did have very good stats. Made the great David Terrell an all-american. I get the point, it just was off.
  16. He's got a tall WR fetish, that's why...
  17. Would have loved to have seen that with Ted Washington, back in the day...
  18. 100% I saw the other last night and refused to read it.
  19. Agreed 100% Especially on the "time will tell" part.
  20. Good post. My biggest gripe on Angelo was that he was drafting a ton of players with high ceilings. Or as I like to reefer to them as "men in shorts". You have to have the guys with the high floors too...
