  1. First off, jeffery is not a first rounder. Secondly, how did Jonathan Baldwin, Demaryius thomas, DHB, and Craig Davis fare their rookie years? That's a sample of the first round of the last 4 drafts that had a 1st round wr drafted. Jeffery will not be handed the position. If you think it's proper to do, thats another issue.
  2. He will only start if he earns it. However, he will not have to be better than Hester to take the #2. They will give him some leeway to grow if he is progressing at a satisfactory rate, because of his draft status and potential.
  3. Been saying this for years. That's the reason they should have never fired Ron Turner in favor of Martz. Tice will return to the same philosophy Turner had, but will have better QB, WR and RB to work with. We should consistently win the "time of possession" battle and hopefully rest our D.
  4. Lol! Now that's mileage...
  5. Brady didn't have Leinart stats, but he did have very good stats. Made the great David Terrell an all-american. I get the point, it just was off.
  6. He's got a tall WR fetish, that's why...
  7. Would have loved to have seen that with Ted Washington, back in the day...
  8. 100% I saw the other last night and refused to read it.
  9. Agreed 100% Especially on the "time will tell" part.
  10. Good post. My biggest gripe on Angelo was that he was drafting a ton of players with high ceilings. Or as I like to reefer to them as "men in shorts". You have to have the guys with the high floors too...
  11. I think Cutler will be slightly higher, Forte lower, Jeffery lower and Bennett higher. Others look about right.
  12. That's pretty much what Jason said. Seems like a little nit picking.
  13. Agreed. It's all about Brady. Belichick is only the genius Brady makes him out to be. I do agree with letting players go once they are past their prime though. It will be interesting to see how good they are once Brady retires. I do think it goes both ways though. Forte is over a barrel and not budging.
  14. I have to agree, but part of me thinks he deserves a little good will. He was probably given bad advice last year and is paying for it now. That being said, I think he'll be productive another three years, so 4yr/30mil with 16 guaranteed sounds about right. Pay the guaranteed early making him cap friendly to keep or cut in the last year.
  15. LOL! Made my coffee spill...
  16. I don't understand why they would let him go. 75 catches last year? They have tons of money and are not stockpiled with weapons. Must be something else... Edit: they signed Dallas Clark. Clark has been useless the last two years. Id rather have Winslow.
  17. Penalties and sacks are the worst traits a LT can have. Both ar drive killers. If you give him help, a part of the offense suffers. Does a full off-season fix that? I'm very leary of this kid between the ears...
  18. Agreed. He seemed very genuine...
  19. That makes no sense. Its not like he came in as a 1st rounder. He came in a an underdog to make the team. Then, contributed to the worst OL in the NFL. BTW, he does go against Peppers everyday in practice..
  20. He has the physical tools to be good. Problem is, he has no football instincts or IQ. He'll never make it past average.
  21. Yes, lol. Good and agreed...
