  1. Don't get me wrong, I want more talent brought in. I wish I knew what the deal is with Williams. I simply don't have faith in Webb. Also, IMO, Williams has not had the opportunity.
  2. Agreed. Williams was regarded as a great pick by all the draft experts. He has the tools, lets see if he can use them. Unless of course, it has already been determined by the coaches that he can't play...
  3. We got rid of the biggest detriment to our OL already. Martz. I agree OL needs addressed at the tackle position still. We have a tree trunk on one side and a potential gimp on the other.
  4. Everyone would know that,if we had a good offensive lineman to reference...
  5. I've not heard a yay or nay on that. If they are serious about opening the coffers, they should. Also read in the article that they could restructure Tillman and gain another 3 mil.
  6. I think you are on with OT. Carimi has a knee that worries me on top of Webb.
  7. The old SuperBowl cash in. Hopefully teams have learned, buyer beware, by now.
  8. Nice challenge bet, but it's flawed with too many arguable loopholes. Agreed from the pure threat standpoint. Strongly disagree on the total package. Of course I could be wrong as I think Walter was the great RB all time, with most experts sayin Brown. Walter had him killed on the "complete player" package. Agreed that VJax and Colston could end up being Moose. Don't feel that way about Bowe. Agreed again, that they are not worth it, but desparate times, etc...
  9. Not defending Roy, but will Moss block like him or run routes when he knows he is not the primary? We need a complete reciever to compliment our run game. Let alone when we bring a highly drafted rookie in and the future HOF'er is an influence. I'll pass unless they go nuts and add him after a stud FA WR.
  10. I want Bowe and a pick. (Not on the poll)
  11. Couldn't agree more. Spot on! Sign a stud and draft a stud for the future.
  12. 27 mil would be the low end of the figure. Could be 31. Plus teams are allowed a 3 mil buffer to be applied the following season. There will also be some people that get cut, but that will be more than offset by the FA's that need resigned.
  13. Also add that Eli didn't have Martz getting him murdered every week.(that's on Lovie) Plus, NYG has had their line in place for years.(that's on Angelo)
  14. I think the point was to make Garza the starter and bring in Spencer as insurance in case Garza failed. Garza knew the offense and how Olin set the protection. With vitually no offseason for another player to learn, it was a great move as the Bears were desparate to solidify the position. Why else do you think they wanted to WAY overpay, an over the hill, Kruetz? That is one move I'll give Angelo credit for. It may seem pointless now, due to Garza exceeding expectations at center. He's actually better at center than guard and was an upgrade over Olin. Good for Garza, as it gave him a nice extension and prolonged his carreer. Spencer can still be the center of the future as he learns his craft from Garza.
  15. Send me your address! We will drink and make merry!!!!
  16. Not sure about Adams. He sounds like a Webb clone. From what I'm reading, it's going to take him a season or so to develop. I'm leaning toward the young WR, with the condition we take one in FA. Would love if we had Bowe and Floyd.
  17. I'd love to have Osi, but not at the cost of losing Briggs. He is the only enforcer have on D. I'm afraid there would be a huge identity loss with him missing.
  18. Your points are valid. Agreed the talent is sketchy, but the point is they were still utilized after they left here and we cold have used some of them. Does it really matter if they were drafted or FA's? I still have a hard time believing Angelo drafted all the defensive talent he did without the ringing endorsement of Lovie. The fact that so many defenders were brought in/drafted and failed or were not developed is on who? I hope Lovie is evolving as a coach. It seemed like more young players had opportunities last year. Some by choice, others by need. I just don't think he deserved a pass.
