Something worth noting. In year one of Poles, we had the benefit of drafting from the scouting from several teams, while having little money for free agency. Result, decent draft. Secondly, Poles pulled a rabbit out his hat when he swindled Carolina. In that trade, you could easily see that Carolina was gonna be terrible the following year. Result, first pick again. This year, Poles had the benefit of several teams scouting, again. Result, rebuilt OL, DL and what seems to be another solid draft. The slow and steady approach had built depth. We now have proven leaders on both sides of the ball and they come from the trenches! The psychological standpoint of this is huge, because nobody is going disrespect Thuney and Jarrett. We may have also improved at every position on the coaching staff. We already have seen the staff ripping players on the small details, in live practice, not a letter in their locker. They are not being coached to be choirboys. They are being coached to be the predators they were born to be. It's what we've been craving since Ditka. I'm starting to believe that Virginia passing may be a blessing to the franchise. Has there been a time, when she was living, that they spent for a great new coaching staff? We need to embrace this new, post Virginia era. We need to encourage fans, at the games and in public, to keep their spirits high and not be so damn negative when things aren't perfect. He thinks week 9 or 10 for knowing you have something. Previously, he mentioned week 4 for seeing growth with Caleb. I've thought about it myself and think the game 4 analogy is valid, but the game 10 is a little off. I'm thinking 8.

To see a path through eleven people solely focused on you is far different than eluding a pass rush and running into a spread field with 40 percent of the defense in the rearview mirror.

That's actually false. They asked him to slide sooner to avoid those, late, bell ringers the DB's were laying on him. In actuality he didn't break the huge runs like the season before. After that, I abjectly disagree with any open field running comparison to Hester. Not even close.

I agree that Minny won't be successful as last year. Their defensive scheme took a lot of teams by surprise last year. When you a blitz happy DC, they usually end up getting countered the following year. Kinda like when Justin Fields had record rushing and the following season he didn't.

When your second best OL becomes your fifth best, that's a damn good thing in the NFL. Every team would love to have that problem. (On paper)

If Braxton Jones is the floor, the OL is in good shape. No to Von Miller for me.

Same. I think the most important jump needs to be with the pass rush, because I'm 100% convinced the OL is going to be a strength.

This team has good team character. Even with Flus, they played hard until he list the team. Your mention of chemistry is key. My belief is that it will develop quickly, due to the new staff being quite the opposite. I expect extreme effort in camp. Some guys might get hurt feelings, but wouldn't that be a breath of fresh air.

He definitely has value. 26 year old starting left tackles don't grow on trees.

I would swap SF and Texans. Also swap GB and Pitt. One more thing, I think we'll be better than GB and equal to the Queens.

One thing I gleaned, from the Bagent interview, was this quote when asked about the new process,"if I ever decide to get into coaching, that's how I want to do it".
