You keep doing this. Mahomes and Jackson are nothing alike. We want Fields to be more like Mahomes. Mahomes is great because he can win from the pocket, the off platform throws and occasionally with his legs. In case of emergency, RUN! Jackson is one of one, who is going to win his second MVP. I'll lay odds he doesn't go to the Superbowl, because defenses will take the run away from him. DB's are just more willing to hit in the post season. If I'm wrong, I'll eat it. Been wrong before.

That's not true. Love was highly touted and fell just like Rodgers did. We traded up for Justin, who also fell. I'll call that even. You are correct on time of grooming and OL. Both Dallas and us couldn't get to him. I feel bad for Justin, just as I did Trubisky. (But they are ruined by too many hits) They deserved better up front. Ryan Pace is the worst GM ever.

Justin Fields will never beat Jordan Love. He is everything we want Justin to be. 2024 draft must be for Williams or Maye.

Funny, I've been thinking the same about Bowers. Four years ago, I did a gap analysis for fantasy football. What I found was pretty cool. I ended drafting Travis Kelce early in the second round. What followed was pure ridicule for drafting a TE that high. He didn't score like a top WR or RB. But my thought was the gap between him and the other TE's. Travis was drafted with the 12th pick of the first round of our draft this year. (By my primary ridiculer) Anyway, Bowers is that rare TE, at a higher level, of rare, than MHJ. Both would be great, but Bowers would probably have a greater impact for us. (Justin or not)

Stroud is legit. He also came into a perfect situation. Great OL, deep WR room, super fast TE and good D. That took him from legit to superstar in the making. The stat he shares alone with Montana and Brady is ridiculous and they were vets when they accomplished it.

Y'all know I call David Montgomery jump cut. But, what do we call Isaiah Pacheco? This dude has more movement than a Dave Chappelle crackhead skit. Seriously, this dude does the entire Billy Blanks workout in five yards...?

If true, Warren needs to STFU. He never played. Wisdom should tell him to trust the football guy. If George is involved, we are in deep shit. And so could be Warren...

Ha! They just used it to advertise. Cut to Jeopardy at 8.

Heck it's on mine as well. I have DTV and they're in contract dispute with NBC. Bastards

YouTube posted 2 billion for Sunday ticket. In return they got 1.3 million subscribers at $224 per. Upfront it's a 1.7 billion dollar loss untill you factor the new subscribers they got, plus advertising.

I think the NFL screwed itself by not allowing someone to say least stream their favorite team for a price. I live in the Colts market, so if they are home, I don't get to see the Bears on another channel. Now, they are screwing Bears and Bengals fans by showing other games because they know those were the local teams before the Colts got here. I would gladly pay to stream Bears games, but not with a monthly subscription to youtube with Sunday ticket as an add on. It's bullshit. I just drive down to a local sports bar and let them pay for it...

Jurko was hypothetically speaking from experience. He was essentially saying you pay QB, WR1, both OT, edge and corners. When you pay the QB, you lose out on some of the others.
-
Can Justin overcome, not being able to pay some core players? Jurko went over this and said you lose your all pro guard, safety, DT and recorder depth. You may have to cut an Edmonds or Kmet. Mahomes was able to overcome that last year, but look at this year. Justin ain't it for me. We talk about the things he needs to succeed. Can't pay them if you are paying him.
-
I didn't, but experts have. Before the season began, they labeled Williams and Maye generational. They called Williams a shorter, more athletic Patrick Mahomes. They then labeled Maye, a more athletic and competitive Justin Herbert. The guy Jim Harbaugh continually gushes over is Herbert. It wouldn't surprise me to see him there.
-
This is my hope too. But, between him and Jenkins you can count on games missed. I even noticed when Davis went out Whitehair came in instead of Carter, who played that throughout Davis' absence. That tells me OG should be a high priority draft as well as center.
-
That's exactly why we should draft one. When else will we have this chance? If you say it's a 33% chance for a generational franchise QB, while Polian said a Peyton Manning is worth 10x first rounders. The odds are better to draft than to buy. Three years of Justin tell me, he not it.

We had to settle, due the shit show that Pace left us. Knowing that Poles was going to blow it all didn't instill longevity in anyone's mind. So, b to all that signed up two years ago so, I admire the balls and vision. Now we are a place everyone wants to be, due to the rebuild and culture. Coaches and Vets that want to win will start migrating here.
-
Foundationally speaking, this is good math and it's great for Texas hold em. You'll go deeper in tournaments, but rarely win it, due to someone giving you a bad beat on the river. That's where the difference makers come in. I believe the base is built. Time for difference makers. If Poles can hit on QB, C and G in this draft, it is on! WR and S and it's on and over!
-
I remember the talk on here, that most of us didn't want Jalen Carter, due to us having a young team and not wanting someone that couldn't pass a conditioning drill. All told the Talkbears consortium was Wright. My guess is, we'll figure it out before the draft and our brain trust here will lead Lord Poles to the correct decision again. The stars are aligning...

As of now, I'm hearing closer to 30m/yr

You certainly have more faith in the billionaire boys club than I do.
-
Chess vs checkers...? Let me add, it was the same with the stadium talk from Warren.
-
If course the guy will qualified but, If it's a competitive advantage, of course they will take it. Showing our diversity is also a competitive advantage, with bringing in talent. If rich men could be trusted to do the right thing, we wouldn't need have the Rooney rule or the 3rd round exec benefit.

My money is on a minority.

Agreed. For one, Justin had NO chance turning the tear down. This was the year of Justin. Plus, the OL and DL needed the attention it received. I won't complain if we go QB this year. My mind has made me trade down greedy though.
