While I agree he will be traded, Poles has stated that someone would have to blow him away. Did that happen yet? Untill pro days pass, he can't be convinced, especially when Caleb hasn't provided a physical.
Easy Skip. I could tell you I took the biggest shit ever and you'd want to measure it. Justin is merely a bargaining chip at this point. You had your Mitch moment...?
If we can sign and draft EDGE and sign and draft OL, that would help us get two weapons to throw to. This is a very deep WR and TE class. I would love to come out with two WR's and a move TE.
Dang, Simms has been hot on picking the best QBs. I may have to take his lead. BTW - welcome to the board.
Good Chris Simms QB calls
2017: Called Patrick Mahomes the most special QB in the draft.
2018: Ranked Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen over Mayfield/Darnold/Rosen.
2020: Had Burrow-Herbert-Love-Tua as top 4.
2023: Ranked C.J. Stroud over Bryce Young.
I think we all agree Justin improved. My only concern is, did he grow enough? It's still the biggest story of the year. I'm ? on board with what Poles does, while praying Warren and George don't meddle.
That's the way I feel about Maye. There are a lot of YouTube video breakdowns out there now. There are flaws, but damn the package is there. You guys should check him out. I personally think the media is sand bagging.
That's why I've always said Drake Maye. He played in a pro system that required him to read both safeties and go through progressions. And now, JJ McCarthy too.
Ryan Bates is obviously another stop gap acquisition. He plays C/OG. He wasn't good enough to start for Buffalo to so he isn't good enough for us. In comes Harbaugh: he says McCarthy is a player and his combine backed it up. He was bigger and had a stronger arm than anticipated. JJ also blew teams away with his interviews. That being said, here it is...
Not sure if we want any of these, but it does bring up a good point. Our greatest value may come in the form of a trade for a young player under contract.
I just didn't see something like this on the horizon. Teams usually don't trade for depth pieces. I don't hate, but it threw me. Then, why did the Bills choose to trade him now after they paid him the signing bonus last year? It's something you don't often.
Same here. He was my oldest and most trusted friend. He was passing a kidney stone and went into cardiac arrest. We were talking about getting together the week before.
My condolences.
