  1. He's the head coach. His D is getting ran, but it's obsolete and he's too stubborn to realize it.
  2. No to Rivera. His defenses don't even perform to expectation. His time is done.
  3. I never understood why they didn't just make him a WR. He's literally a bigger and faster Megatron.
  4. Other than really needing to upgrade our pass rush, try this angle. Last year we traded for Claypool because we were desperate for WR help. Would we have done that if we weren't desperate to develop Justin? Don't think so. This year we can't get a pass rush. Poles signs Walker, Ngakoue and Billings. Drafts Dexter and Pickens, who we know need developed. We still can't get to the quarterback. At this point, Poles has to evaluate his coach and he used a second round pick to do it. With our needs, it seems huge. In the long run, Poles needs to decide if Flus is the guy. Is Getsy the guy? Is Justin the guy? The OL is working back into shape while Justin heals, giving us time to evaluate Bagent. If Bagent succeeds, it means Getsy succeeds. (Check) Hopefully, Justin returns and succeeds.(Check) Hopefully, Sweat will help unlock Ngakoue on the other side.(and check)
  5. I agree and slightly disagree. Yes, we want someone we know can play the position. But, the best player on most schools plays tackle. That tackle may have the traits to play center in the NFL. It's hard to judge a college center, as they don't have assignment responsibilities of an NFL center. As an example Jason Kelce only played 12 games at center. He went to UC as a running back. The savvy and athleticism may be elsewhere. No more Hronis Grasu's.
  6. When and where? At the risk of Darnell Wright? No. This was supposed to be the year of Justin. Who else was out there?
  7. I want to draft the best center prospect possible. Poles needs to search for football IQ and leadership as well as the obvious physical traits. We don't know, the center we draft could be playing tackle right now. This position was the only thing that left me wanting in the off season. Poles missed on not getting one.
  8. Brock Bowers is a stud. Drafting him will be like drafting a number one receiver.
  9. Jaylon and Montez are the perfect Transition and Franchise candidates if they prove hard to sign.
  10. I'm thinking 3T, EDGE, OT, C, FS, SS, OG and WR. If they trade out of the first two picks, they can get it done in the first two rounds. That's if they like Justin and Tyson. If not, I'm really starting to like Shadeur Sanders...
  11. I think it's a solid trade. He'll probably sign a 4 year 90 million contract. This a good spot for a big contract. Now, we can draft an edge player and have a good one to pair him with. I'll stop thinking we should keep Jaylon Johnson, as he is young and productive.
  12. Bill Cosby was great in public too. Some of the biggest pieces of crap I've ever worked with did their best BS in weekly meetings. What he does on the score is meaningless.
  13. This ?? And he may get traded and not get the deal he wants. I personally don't want to see him go. He is a young solid corner. They aren't easy to find. We can't continue to throw rookies to the wolves without a good mix of solid veterans to show them the way. What we don't know, is what the staff knows about Johnson. If he's good in the locker room or is he not. We know he can play in different defenses, but don't know if he's under or over achieved in them.
  14. Agree on everything but the bolded. Poles will already have made the decision on QB. (And I believe if Fields stays, Flus stays)
  15. I also believe it will be EDGE. Hopefully, he drafts the best EDGE prospect and 3T as well. We should come out of next year's draft with the best EDGE, 3T, and center of the class.
  16. His halftime interview pissed me off. We are screaming for the defense to come up and stop the underneath stuff and he blamed it on poor tackling. No! It was zero pressure and a fifteen yard cushion, you twit!! Don't get me started on the bi-monthly O.C.
  17. I think they can franchise him...
  18. I gladly pay the .99 a month.
  19. If it's for a third, it's a no brainer. He's a stud when healthy. The Bears have the ability to front load the contract in order to pay less later. Also the draft is stacked at edge next year, so we can get another one or two of them. Keep the pipeline fresh and the cap sound.
  20. Six or seven should save him. Here's a crazy thought. Poles could even extend him if he decides to draft another quarterback. Especially, if it shows that Flus has the locker room and that Getsy is a competent OC. An extension would provide greater stability for a new QB entering the NFL, with the house already being built. Scheme specific players and comfort in culture could be a really good start.
  21. Wright didn't practice today. My guess is that he's getting some treatment.

    Tyson Bagent

That's exactly what I'm talking about. Justin does none of this. We want to talk shit on Getsy, but is that really the deal? In no way am I carrying that Bagent is Rodgers, but he does well what Rodgers does well. Quick release, quick decisions, accuracy and safe handling of the football. Rodgers is an all time great at deep accuracy and that is something that sets them apart. Does Bagent have it or not? I'm ready to find out...

    Trade Fields?

    So what's your point?
