This is key. It's hard to pinpoint release, as it has two key elements. Some folks say release time is how fast they get rid of the ball, others say it's how fast the throwing motion is upon decision to throw. One gets the ball out faster, to avoid defensive pressure. The other gets the ball out faster to avoid defensive reaction. I can find stats for the former, but not the latter. The latter is something Justin is tremendously lacking due to mechanics. The former is due to processing speed...

Imagine the weird scenario where Fields begins to look like the real deal, then gets injured in week 8. Tyson Bagent comes in and does a Brock Purdy. Now, we have the future and can trade Fields for a first or second rounder before the draft. The scenarios are endless. It is a pipe dream to think we could get Harrison and Bowers in next year's draft. To be honest, I don't know who is be more thrilled with, as they are both generational talents. I couldn't edit the above post, but it shows what the draft could look like if we trade the top two picks. That's only on the assumption of Fields progressing in a manner that leadership feels we can build upon.

He is getting better, as expected. DL need an off season under their belt to evaluate, then gain the strength they need at the pro level. The good thing about Dexter is that he is already country strong, so NFL string will come quickly. I still think he is a hybrid, meaning he can play nose and 3T effectively. If that's what Flus wants from him, the perfect compliment to him would be another hybrid.

That being said, Borom has been a very pleasant surprise. Getting Jones back will then give us depth for the first time in decades. Year two of the rebuild is going the way it should. Next year is, nothing but, BPA up and down the board.

100% Players see and smell bullshit on a more emotional level than coaches do. It takes a coach longer to give up on a player. The players were probably, secretly, wishing that ESB would get those reps. Good blocking, effort and accurate routes mean so much to the timing of the offense, let alone the psyche of the offensive unit.

Those options eliminate themselves very quickly through the "if/then" process. The receiver and QB are trained to read the same thing. If Fields is unsure, he is supposed to move on.
