  1. I find it inane or insane that witnessing a coach, dragging a team out of the muck and stench of a full rebuild, leads ones opinion to failure. Poles hired Flus due to a shared vision of the rebuild. Did Flus make mistakes? Yes. Did he learn from them? Yes again. Are we trending upward when QB play had greater expectations? Yes x3. Flus kept the locker room and they play hard for him. I believe he deserves the whole 4 years of his contract. Something I also find inane/insane is over arguing a point out of the need to be agreed with. Poles and Flus are both new at this. I happen to believe they are getting it right, together. There are many other coaches that have failed and became champions. Belichick, Saban and Carroll come to mind me asking with the aforementioned Vermiel.
  2. They took Scott at 133. The other good receivers were gone by then. We would have missed on Roschon, or Tyrique to get one.
  3. I think he meant we didn't get them.
  4. Actually, it's not a Flus thing, but our defense is actually set up nicely to be a 3-4. All needed is an edge rushing olb. You could move Sanborn back to the inside with Edmonds, then you have Edwards at Will and Sewell for backup. The rest are interchangable. Dexter would be a monster at RDE in a 3-4.
  5. Just think, if you get the right QB, you can be Belichick. Without Brady, he has a career losing record.
  6. I would do that. However, I would then trade the number two pick for a treasure trove of picks akin to last year. MHJ is a stud, but I think the combine will show that a few receivers will have more speed and separation ability. Not saying they are better, but I really don't think there is much room for MHJ to improve upon, as he has been excellently been trained since peewee league. We could net another number one for next year, Brock Bowers, stud receiver and and edge player with the trade.
  7. Give me Andre James to start. Williams is the bigger name but has an ACL to recover from. James is 26 and doesn't miss time. Second is Danielle Hunter. Third, Calvin Ridley. Knowing WR is deep in this class, having Ridley as a great route runner will be vital. I would love to draft two receivers, one to blow the top off and a big physical possession guy.
  8. Not only is not possible for them. It's dumb as hell for us. Revisionist history tells us trading away picks is not beneficial. We would have to trade them three number ones for Herbert, not just THE number one. Then yes, you are on it. How do you protect the new guy? We already ruined every QB we've had the last thirty years by NOT providing them the protection to do their damn job! Why would we trade for another guy, just to ruin him by trading away capitol?
  9. My guess is that he spends the next couple of weeks looking at team film. Matching the play called with the execution is the critical factor in assessing performance. He will see what Justin saw and didn't see. After that, I would assume he reviews it with Justin. If the decision hasn't already been made, Waldren may be the swing vote. Of course, that's after the combine.
  10. I like your rating of Mahomes, because he is one of one. In my opinion, he is the best football player I have ever seen. He does it from the pocket as well anyone. He makes phenomenal plays on the move. Lastly, he does it with his legs when he needs to and he's not even considered fast. My view on Justin, on the same scale, with five being average, I give him a four. From the pocket, it's not even close and trust the most important part. On the move, Justin is an eight, with Mahomes being a ten. Running the ball, I'll give Justin a seven, mainly because he doesn't make good decisions with read option plays. People may think I'm overly critical, but it's just how I see it. As well as Josh Allen played last night, it was just not good enough. Josh Allen is an eight.
  11. They can gather all the info they want through Kingsbury, but I don't want him as OC. His and Lincoln Riley's offensive style doesn't translate to the NFL.
  12. Even though I've been critical of Justin, with him, I think we win eleven next year. Problem is, I don't think he takes us anywhere without a major improvement.
  13. Jason and I are soul brothers when it comes to the trenches, but he lost me with the T.O. thing years ago.
  14. You'll always have me on the Mitch argument. The irony, of it all, is that we have traded roles. Did I learn from my last transgression? Have you become complacent with your previous victory tour? Or are you the QB whisperer? Time will tell my friend. As always, well played...?
  15. That's all I needed...?
  16. I did that pre season with the caveat that Justin throw on time. He didn't, so I ended that thought process. I would love to see it, as I like Justin. It would truly be best for the Bears if he was the guy. I'm just not willing to stand up for another Mitch category.
  17. Put your credibility on the line and tell me Justin is just as good as Stroud. Do it!
  18. You may not be seeing it against one of the best defenses in the league, but Mr Magoo saw it last week. And if you are trying to tell me Justin is as good as Stroud, I'd be shocked.
  19. That would be an awesome thought if the QB class didn't completely suck next year. Weakest class in years. I guess anything could happen with players developing. Did we get spoiled with last year's trade back?
  20. That's also how people become Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos. If Poles loves a guy, he's ours. Doing your market analogy gives us a solid portfolio, so did Lovie. I don't want solid. I want Superbowls. We can can keep Justin and take in a shit ton of draft capital, win 9-11 games every season and never beat Jordan Love when it matters.
  21. The chargers are notoriously cheap. My guess it's money.
  22. Andrew Siciliano said yesterday that he's pretty certain Harbaugh is done with Michigan, due to wanting to coach NFL. With Belichick probably getting Atlanta, that leaves Chargers.
  23. I'm merely speaking size and talent. He's a big athletic dude with a cannon. I like that he comes from a very athletic family. That develops thick skin and determination, getting beat by your older brothers growing up.
