I absolutely want Jenkins to be signed as a starter. He's our highest graded OL. Gotta have pedigree drafted to push him and be ready. That's how we get the depth we crave.

Poles sticks to that pretty well in the first two rounds. Third round he starts toying around for lightning in a bottle. I would like for him to stick to the blue bloods for the first four rounds at minimum. Kiran and the Koala kicker were complete head scratchers, when we had blatant needs on the OL.

Taylor, Shelton and Jenkins. The first two should sign deals that make them easy to cut or trade. Jenkins would be smart to sign an incentive laden deal based on availability.

I'm convinced, more than ever, that Johnson is the guy. I've been watching him on the sidelines. He's fiery, charismatic and cocky. Best of all, he's a complete assassin o of a play caller.

20% bad OL. We have seen enough to know they are both decimated and poorly coached. We've seen enough. 60% bad coaching. Three things: chip blocks are quick and easy. Over helping in the interior causes a reverse effect. Lastly, if Caleb is holding the ball you long and creating sacks, ass meet bench, bench talks to brain via ass. Coaches are the adults in the room. They need to teach him to protect himself. 20% Caleb. He's both tough and stubborn. If he doesn't lose his stubbornness, his toughness will fail him.

I said this weeks ago. They need to extend Poles or fire him. It's the only way it will work...

That's cool. I also like Banks better than the other Texas tackle. He's less experienced but a better talent.

How do you see a dime when it's a piss missile three feet over his head? If Rome was supposed to run a post, I can't see it being a dime, because he wouldn't be far enough horizontally. Rome was running more horizontal than vertical. If Rome cut from vertical at a 45° angle and accelerated through the ball, it would still be a high catch, taking him off stride. Not a dime. See and say what you want, I'll argue it was both.

I have to crack on my son on this one. He was OLB and closest to the coach. Coach tells him to tell the D that the O was gonna try to draw them offsides. He's telling at his teammates to watch the ball, then jumped offsides. So embarrassing.

Drafting linemen aren't good media hype tools. It's only sexy three years down the road. The McCaskey's have ruined this franchise.

IMO - the best of both worlds is Gruden. Strong leader, proven, offensive minded and swag for days. I remember being at a function and Bobby Knight walked in. He instantly owned the room. That's Chucky. I don't think Vrabel or Johnson have that. But I do believe people would bend an hear to hear Johnson speak before Vrabel. In the end, you're right about different opinions and how people see things. I just hope we get it right.

My thing with Johnson is he talks without reservation and because he doesn't care what you think. He also is self deprecating, which tells me he's comfortable in his own skin. IE: his own man. Lastly, he knows exactly what his players are and how to weaponize them. Brilliant people know when they have you. It's chess vs checkers. Bill Walsh had it. Maybe Ben Johnson does too.

Watching this, I think Johnson has the chops to command a room...

💯! LT is priority one. Everything on the OL evolves from there.

Athletes respect leaders, period. Athletes don't care how they get there. Just get there. That is the end game. The locker room would only get stuck Gruden after success. Same as Belichick. He was fortunate to have Brady hold it together by taking smaller contacts with his unselfishness.
