Inconsistent Officials
Not sure there is a bias, but it was weird. The call was catch and fumble. The review should concentrate on irrefutable to the contrary at that point. It was very arguable. IMO, a gaffe...

Caleb Williams QBR Tracker
Both rooks should be hyper dialed to beat each other. Daniels hasn't seen a secondary like ours yet. Got my popcorn cooking...

Week 6 Official Game Thread - JAX @ CHI, Sun, Oct 13, 0830AM CDT, NFLN, CHI -1
I had a head on collision on May 21 and broke my tibial plateau, which is the former growth plate. They told me six months healing time, but I'm 58 and obese. Hutch can be back in mid January if the breaks are clean. Nerve damage is a different story.

Caleb Williams QBR Tracker
I think he's gonna be pretty good.

Power Rankings
Crazy thing is, he makes 35 and 35 mil the next two seasons. Nobody wants to pay that...

Good win vs a team we're supposed to beat. I'm liking the growth. On to next week.

Both tackles got dog walked back to the QB. Darnell Wright somehow got neutered in the off season.

Braxton Jones
I'll be pissed if he doesn't use at least two high picks on OL. We don't need anything but OL and DL.

Braxton Jones
I found the video from last week...

Braxton Jones
Braxton Jones is in year three and is regressing. We haven't been told anything about the neck injury he sustained last year, but something is clearly wrong. He is trying to catch his opponents instead of striking out at them. He is constantly too close to Caleb in the pocket. A QB can feel this. Jones is not giving Caleb any room to side step for throwing and/or running lanes. Something has to change with his approach, because he bloody awful. I'm interested to see some of Seattle's tape from last year to see if it's a Waldron, Braxton or Morgan thing. Crazy thing is Darnell Wright is doing the same thing.

Herbert has to be trade bait right?
Absolutely right. If we are going to find a starter quality OL, I believe we'll have to trade a draft pick to an underperforming team.

Flus sounding better
Flus comes off as if Bill Belichick and Mr Rodgers had a love child...

Herbert has to be trade bait right?
Thayer talked about Herbert today. He stated that Swift and Johnson compliment each other because they are both three down backs. Plus, Roschon is the best blocking back. He said, the Herbert is still in play during run heavy weeks.

He was a weapon today.

The key to the second half is the OL needs to stop taking turns getting Caleb killed.

Watch Beaux Limmer. He's a guy we could have had that I wanted.

Swift is the problem
Yes, his quality is in space. Not as a three down back...

If I was an NFL GM
The above shows how close this league is week to week. Injuries and mistakes play a huge role in close games. We've had a chance to win the games on a last drive and failed. Back to beating a dead horse, but it started with Nate Davis. His shitty attitude rubbed of on the rest of the OL. IE: if he doesn't have to do the work, why should we? Big guys hate working in the heat. The injury to Bates couldn't have come at a worse time, because it took Flus ability to remove Davis from the equation. Trust me, they hate him. Completely destroyed the HITS principle for the entire unit. Huge player and coaching fail. Good thing is, I saw improvement on the Colts game. It wasn't good, but not always the meme we see going around.

Hear me out on Poles
Don't get me wrong, I'm still in Poles' corner. However, this OL thing is the equivalent of Lovie saying "trust me" after he let Chico walk. There is quite a bit of arrogance to think Poles could invest so little on the OL during a rebuild. He basically pissed on his territory and said, "this is my domain" in reference to the OL. Fail fail fail. Everything else, he's been above average.
-
Swift is the problem
I remember we tried the tush push with Darnell Mooney last year. I guess they haven't learned...
-
Swift is the problem
I think he was inactive for the game.

Hear me out on Poles
I'm getting there quickly. For reasons of OL only. Many unnecessary additions were made that took away from solidifying the most important unit. The difference between us and the rest of the division is that they have significantly better lines. Then, we look at Justin being 3-0. Why? They invested heavily in their OL. And they have James Daniels, who should still be on our team. We didn't need Swift, Everett or Allen. Tory Taylor is a weapon, but really. We didn't need him. Now, they are having him playing too cute and it's affected his play. Back to football Poles! Study the picture...

Week 3 Official Game Thread - CHI @ IND, 9/22, 12pm, CHI +1.5 O/U 43.5, CBS
Oh hell no! If Fields were here, it would be a bloody nightmare. I am on record with saying we would win 9 or 10 games if we traded the Caleb pick and invest for Fields. That's where it ends. If they ever planned on sitting Caleb, we have Bagent that fully embrace that role. Fields, Caleb and the locker room would never survive it. Poles got that item right.
