  1. Correct. Throw the draft chart out the window during day one of the draft. You always have to over pay.
  2. You guys should look at the ESPN draft simulator. Nobody offers trades, but you can. Seems weighted well...
  3. Yeah, I'm not a fan of those guys. I was out of there when they criticized him on the long TD run. He pulled and sealed, which most LT's cannot, then got knocked down when second defender tried to get through. Result TD. He is not a mauler and I know we all love the Jenkins and Long mentality, but does get the job done on a consistent basis. When he does get beat, he's still in the play, which is not a Leno trait. Giving up 5 sacks in 1700 snaps is a stat worth noting. Picking up blitzes and switching is where our OL failed last year and that is his strong suit. Paris Johnson still has more boom bust factor. Skor is what folks call a safe choice.
  4. Yeah, I kinda of ripped into to you on that. My bad. While I still disagree on that issue, I'll never doubt your football IQ. Cheers my friend!...???
  5. I'd go to war with Skor. His feet as elite. He can play all five positions. Paris Johnson has the most upside. He came out as true junior and didn't pay the covid season. I'd love either.
  6. With us trying to build something, I'm afraid Carter might affect the culture. OL has the highest success rate of any other group when drafted in the first round. Poles needs a hit with his first 1st round pick to set the tone. I'm guessing OL.
  7. Amen to that brother! We can agree, disagree and bust balls and nobody gets nasty about it. Bear down!
  8. I've been watching the project interviews on GMFB and Bijan was on there. Very likeable guy. I have good service here, so I'll be able to tune into the draft. Can't wait. Hoping for 2 OL, 3 DL, RB, TE, CB, S and WR. Mojito ramble...?
  9. Place your final mock drafts here. I'm leaving for Puerto Rico tomorrow, so I will submit mine tonight. Let's see if we get any right. Bear down boys!
  10. I'm not opposed to any weapon that can help Justin succeed. A good move TE can be a valuable asset. The Bears aren't good enough to contend this year either, so why not draft what you can help Justin moving forward. We have ten picks and 39 million in cap space. The OL and DL will be addressed. We need guys that can make plays and I don't trust Claypool, Velus and ESB at all. I really don't care if it's a WR, RB or TE or any combination thereof. We need weapons developed with Justin so we can open the window next year.
  11. I have an issue with stating where players were drafted as an argument to not draft someone. Cooper Kupp and Stephon Diggs just don't grow on trees. If you knew they were going to be that good, you draft them early. The only sure thing we have at receiver is Moore. Why not try to draft another? JSN and Mooney are not limited to the slot, as we've already seen Mooney as an outside receiver. JSN compares to Davante Adams in speed and route running and they lined him up everywhere. Getsy was Adams WR coach with the Packers. When I look at Mooney and Claypool in their last year of contract, I see a potential void next season. WR's take some time to develop, so you do not draft them as an immediate need, because they will likely let you down. When the Bucs contended, they had Evans and Godwin, but still needed Gronk and Antonio Brown. The Rams had Woods and Kupp, but needed OBJ. The Chiefs loaded up pin receiver for two different Superbowls. As far as receiver is concerned, you get them when you can. If we can get JSN in the teens, that would mean we have enough capitol to address OL, DL and BPA. Fields needs weapons. If Poles has him rated, I'm good. Same with Bijan...
  12. Not many people project a WR to us in the first round, but JSN is an interesting prospect. JSN projects to be a Cooper Kupp type of receiver, due to his physicality, short area quickness and great route running. I was listening to ESPN 1000 today and the hosts mentioned that the need for good receivers helps develop a QB better than a good OL. (I don't subscribe to that theory, but they made good argument) At this point, I don't see is going that route unless we trade back to get him in the mid teens. That would also mean we get our OL, DL, edge and BPA in the second and third rounds. Thoughts?
  13. I don't know if this will be the last one I do, but I like it. This is from the ESPN mock draft simulator.
  14. Most experts are claiming there are only three elite prospects in this draft. I would mildly disagree about the year on the tires. Foreman has not shown he can stay healthy. I'm not advocating for Bijan at 9, but if you told me we got an unnamed blue chip at 9 in this draft, I would be very happy. I would love to see a trade back for an extra second rounder, then I would definitely pull the trigger on Bijan knowing I can fill my OL spots in the second.
  15. He fits the prototype. While I like Skoronski as the, immediate, best prospect, PJJ may be the better fit, as he can fill the LT spot if Braxton Jones falters. Another thing Paris has going for him, is that he's a true junior. The thinking is, is that he has tremendous upside for any team that drafts him. I won't be disappointed if he's the pick.
  16. From the perspective of a former offensive lineman; this is a close second to the time Jason tried to convince us that we needed Terrell Owens. (On the hell no scale that is) I couldn't disagree more.
  17. In talking with Jurko today, he agrees with me on Skoronski. Elite feet, great technique, great athleticism, great hand punch, elite awareness and elite football IQ. One thing Jurko said is that he didn't think he'd be a good left tackle. He loves him at the other 4. You mentored him at center and that's exactly why posted that thread about the value of Kelce at center. That's Skoronski's floor.
  18. I've got a little time on my hands this morning so here it goes. Bijan Robinson is a bigger faster stronger version of Christian McCaffry. Why not draft this talent? Everyone is hesitant to pay a RB , but you really don't have to worry about it until year 8, after the fifth year option and two years of franchising. He's the most complete offensive weapon in the draft. Why not?
  19. He was the best left tackle in the big ten for two years. He gave up three sacks in over 1700 snaps. He also can play all five positions. I get what you are saying about him being an over draft for an interior position and it makes sense. It's also kind of strange that he has about the same measurables as his predecessor Rashawn Slater. All said, I believe Skor is an outlier to the short arm rule. If he doesn't excel at tackle, he'll at minimum be average.
  20. I was referring to Skoronski.
  21. The rare ones can break the mold. Mike Tyson had the shortest arms ever for a heavyweight champ in a sport that values it the most.
  22. Kancey is no Aaron Donald. Let's get that straight. I'm not afraid of his short arms though. A guy that can consistently get in the backfield disrupts the timing of plays, which usually leads to a good result for the defense. Mike Tyson had extremely short arms and was effective. A short armed guy can be effective if they are special. My issue with Kancey is that he doesn't seem special enough to invest a first round pick. There is too much of a boom or bust factor. At this point of team development, we are looking for solid. Plus, he still has skinny ankles...?
