https://quickshare.samsungcloud.com/6L33a9aeVxV8 This is an article from The Athletic. I hope you can open it. It's an expert panel's rankings of NFL QB's. Justin is 21...

Steve McMichael has made the top 12 for the NFL Hall of Fame, senior group. Another for will take place in a week or two. I know Halas Hall and the crew at ESPN1000 are pulling all their strings to help him. From his recent picture, he won't be there to give a speech. It sure would be heart warming for him to know before he goes.

I don't know why I like Pettis more than ESB. ESB has him beat on measurables at 6'5 and runs a 4.4, while Pettis is 6'0 and 4.3. With Moore, Mooney, Claypool and Kmet getting the lion's share of reps, where does a good blocker fit in? Add Tonyan and Velus and where is room for another receiver? At the end of the day, it's a good situation to be in. These conversations are gonna be crazy, next year, with the depth we'll have...

???The idiot that ranked the idiot...?

We've all stated that Justin is the key to the offense, which is undeniable. Beyond that is the big IF. IF Claypool is the guy we brought him in him to be, the offense will, theoretically, be unstoppable on paper. The reason it's Claypool instead of Moore, is the freak factor. Claypool can take so much pressure off of everyone else, because he must be accounted for, because of his unique abilities. DJ will get HIS regardless. Unlocking the entire field is with Chase. With that we should see amazingly balanced stats. I see Kmet as an ascending player in our offense. How much more room will be have to operate, now that so many weapons can soften the middle of the field, by stretching the deep third? That's where Kmet and Tonyan live. Our running back room is better than last year, so their collective YPC and YPG should go up. With the OL, OMG I'm excited. Let's pump the brakes on immediate pass pro success though. It's gonna take time and preseason will not do it. I expect an opening day grind fest with the Packers, with both teams challenging each teams collective manhood, to impose will and take over the game. With the WR group, I don't expect gaudy numbers. If you look back at what Rodgers did in his last couple of MVP seasons, it was the TD to INT rate and completing percentage that was ridiculous. He didn't challenge the record books for yards and TD's. My expectation for the WR group is that they make plays when called upon to do so. It may be to pick up 9 when we need 8. It may be to make great blocks in the run game. It will definitely be to stretch the field when the defense comes up. And occasionally win the jump ball catches. Stats for this team, this year, would be ideal if we can average: 34 min TOP, 66% comp, 4.9 YPC, 16 first downs and a 2-1 INT/TD rate. Stat predictions: Justin: 3400 yds passing 25 TD, 700 rush 10 TD with 14 INT. Backs should account for 1900 rushing with 15 TD. TE's should account for 95 rec for 950 yards and 8 TD. WR's should get around 170 receptions for 2200 yards and 14 TD.(backs will get the remainder) Most importantly, in all of this, is that Justin will only get sacked 30 times this year, with 10 of them being on him. This should be the most balanced offense the Bears have EVER had. Toward the end of the season, it should be the most explosive.

This is what we were begging for back when we knew Pace was a lame duck. We got exactly what we wanted and need in Poles. If we don't sign a veteran, so be it. Just use the money to extend core players and stay in a great cap situation.

It's cool that we can disagree on it, but also agree on the more important issue, in that was a good athletic play. I remember a play, last year, when it took ESB four yards to to cut back. In that time, it only took the DB two yards for a result of a pick.

Same here! I'm rooting for the kid. Steve Smith kinda called him out today, saying "looks like Tarzan", but he failed to say "plays like Jane", but he was going there. Hopefully, this all motivates claim to full potential and he stays there. My fear, is that he's fighting for a contract, then f'k all after that. I really am rooting for him and that he is a long term Bear...

Grizz, he had full arm extension. That is precisely what the refs are looking for. I will say it was a very athletic comeback for such a big athlete, but it was undoubtedly a push off.
-
Velus was out there when they said Scott was different, so my guess is that Scott is elite fast/game speed fast.
-
Jurko and Courtney Cronin were talking about Tyler Scott being a special type of fast. It really stands out...
-
He's getting a push off flag on game day.
-
Lynch fleeced Pace. He's paying the price for being a dick. Lynch is still greater guy default.

That's what the smart money says. Edge is a premier position and we still need two studs to have a contending D. It would be wonderful if a current guy emerges. I'm already hearing QB and WR are deep in next year's draft class. Hopefully, edge is in that category too...
-
Heck yea, it would be a dream...
-
That would be great to see all three to contend. Marvin Harrison Jr will out there, but it would be nice not to need him in case trade scenarios are out there to make us better.
-
He says all the right things, but doesn't sell it with me. Don't ask me why, because it's just a feeling I get.
-
Perfect contract for the Bears locking in a core for 4 years at a value price. Also, Kmet gets to sign another contract before the age of 30, which adds millions more to his future. Mooney and Johnson next...

Poles was gushing over Darnell Wright, saying he's lost body fat and passed the conditioning test without breaking a sweat.
-
Love it! Unfortunately, two third round picks speak otherwise.

It actually surprised me to see him placed on PUP, given that he was in Florida working with Fields. That's why I said that Fields would be the one to judge his desire. The Bears did not need to place him on the PUP, especially two days before he was required to be there. That was, IMO, a ploy. It's well documented how much Claypool loves his social media. What better way to provide a good towel snap, than to set his Insta on fire with fan opinion. I will also reference when my best friend spent a week are Steelers camp last year, when they brought in Ryan Clark and Brandon Marshall to work with him. When all that effort leads to a trade, there is plenty of smoke to think there is some underlying fire. I will stay on Claypool's side, as far as rooting for him to succeed is concerned, but will leave him in the doghouse until he fights himself out. Jenkins fought his way out on the mental side, but is still a question on how he prepares his body. This camp will get Tev out, while Chase has the same chance. In the meantime, Steelers fans are celebrating the trade and the drafting of Joey Porter Jr. More to come...

Listening to ESPN1000 today, they brought up a report from Silvey, a couple months ago, that claimed several sources from Halas Hall say that Claypool does not prioritize football. He can still create his own narrative, but he has to work against his reputation and for himself now. I believe it's to the point where he earns a two or three role as a starter or simply gets cut. They aren't going to put up with half assed with an up and coming team.

To clarify my statement from yesterday, because it can be taken wrong. What I want to see is a world where people walk through it colorblind when it comes to viewing people. Experience, education, skill and character should be the underlying qualification for advancement of any kind, not the good ol boys club.
