It's a combo of what AZ and Adam said. If we can run 30 and pass 30, that is the ticket. I want to see 8 pass attempts over twenty yards. It would nice to hit three of them and fantastic if it's more. Gotta throw deep to get the defense outta the box.

Breaking News: Alan WIlliams' house and HALAS HALL raided

The rumors are terrible out there. I pray they are not true. -
I wouldn't. Wright is a true RT and is still learning, week to week. A move hinders his development. Borom can hold his own with a little chip, here and there.

I wonder if that's why he whiffed on that sack Sunday. It seemed pretty egregious. I hope it's nothing more than a stinger. I've had them. If not treated properly they will linger.

Breaking News: Alan WIlliams' house and HALAS HALL raided

Speculation is out there, but I choose not to entertain the thought of it until I here it officially. And if true, it would make a friend cry. -
The answer on Fields is much simpler than what the defense is doing. He can't see in milliseconds.

Great summary. That's why stats should only be used as reference material. The eye test always wins.

Yes. If we hit 7-7, the hard read will still be Justin and how he is trending. Obviously, any QB will be able to succeed better next year, due to us having a great cap situation and an arsenal of picks. Imagine if Justin fails, Bagent thrives, Carolina finishes last and we get a top ten pick. That Carolina pick would being a monster haul.
-
He did too...?

I think that's why Flus gave Williams a mysterious day off. We still got no sacks or picks. And got gouged for two huge plays from Mike Evans. Our DB's were supposed to be a strength and are now decimated with injury. Our depth is not good, which is indicative of a lower level roster.

I already bet the line before it goes up...

Couldn't get the game at home so we went to a local spot. Several times, fellow Bears fans were imploring Justin to throw the damn ball. He is simply too damn nonchalant. It should be 123 throw or 123 switch then throw, then run or throw away. At least 4 of the sacks were on Justin today. He would actually be better if they, simply, told him who to throw to every play.

I'm still in Poles' corner. As long as the players play hard for Flus, I'll stick with him. I'm not sold on Getsy and Williams...
-
True, but I was thinking about getting Jenkins back week 5. I want to see the OL, as Poles built it, intact for a few games. That would give Fields the benefit of a running game. Right now, the run game it's getting blown to hell.
-
QB is crap. DL is crap. Nothing will change until both are fixed. Give Justin until week 8 to prove himself, then go to Bagent if he fails.

This is a hard no...?

Butt hurt is what I call it...

Looks like the Vegas odds makers like us to be competitive this week. Or they have no confidence in Baker.
-
We've compared Jalen Carter and Gervon Dexter physically. Now that I've seen them play against NFL talent. There is no more comparison. Carter is different, in a special way. Dexter is a fine piece, but may end up being a NT. I still like OL with our first pick. Imagine how it would look of we didn't get Wright...

Flus had a one on one meeting with Claypool today. He would not elaborate on the content, other than Claypool knows exactly what the expectation is. Weird note; reporter asked Flus about Claypool going to the medical tent twice during the game, Flus's response was "there is no injury" and had no further comment.

Just watched the O'Sullivan report. Holy crap, I could only get through the first half of it. Davis needs benched until he learns the playbook and finishes Jenny Craig. Claypool needs to sit. At least ESB will hit someone. Fields needs to start ripping the ball. Whatever trust exercises they need to do, must be done ASAP! My thoughts are that the off season created a little false confidence, with all of the editions and expected improvements from within. Getsy and Flus thinking Fields looking okay in 7 on 7's was a huge mistake by not plaything him against the Colts. (BTW, Kap was right) My expectation is that Monday morning, the coaches apologized to the team for not having them ready to compete. After, that a major ass ripping occurred in the unit meetings, when the position coaches got to their film and assignment responsibilities. We'll see a much more focused and physical team this Sunday against Tampa. Win or lose, we shouldn't be having an OMG Monday. If so, we have a major problem.
