  1. He a shown that he can't make those throws yet. His release is still slow to go along with him telegraphing it. The DL has all the time they need to get their hands up in the perfect place. He must fix that.
  2. Look no further than the Bears, Browns and Broncos in the last several years.
  3. This is the longest I've ever seen an owner on "full tilt". I'm a Bears fan, tried and true, but I'm kinda starting to feel sorry for the Colts fans. They were all over it today on ESPN Chicago. I'm starting to think it may be better to get a deal done before the draft so Irsay doesn't get squirrelly when the pressure of the draft ramps up. It would also prevent Poles from making the mistake of getting too greedy. Irsay and Ballard both know they are going to have to overpay, so negotiations should go smoothly if everyone plays nicely.
  4. I'd take nothing less than their 2024 1st rounder. Then, fleece the Colts...
  5. Thought Greg Olsen did a great job doing color.
  6. Now that Getsy completely knows what he has, I think some changes will be made. Of course overall talent effects how the defense reacts to any given play. The fact we rarely threatened downfield last season lead to a lot of loaded boxes to deal with. That in turn did lead to some monster runs from Fields. This year should provide a little more balance. What I am looking for is for us to develop some "go to" plays for the 4th quarter and key situations.
  7. I actually would prefer it. If I were GM, it would remove a little clutter and allow me to focus more down the road. That time would allow for more conversations with other GM's and possibly nail some more great trades.
  8. Jim Irsay has shown again that he is on full tilt. They are letting the world know who they are hiring and it's Jalen Hurts OC. That also means they are all out committed to a mobile quarterback. There may be a bidding war for our pick. Let the fleecing begin! For all we know, we may trade that pick weeks before the draft, if someone demands.
  9. C'mon man, you know better. One gets 14 sacks, while the other gets 8. But the one that gets 8 sacks, has 3ff, 8tfl and far exceeds in run defense. Stats are BS.
  10. Me too. Keep the defibrillator handy...?
  11. They call that the blue pill scenario...????
  12. He's gotta stay a backup or go. If GB wanted him, they would've kept him, especially after losing their starting center to the Chargers. I don't want anyone's backups starting for this team unless there is a very reasonable explanation for it.
  13. There's always that possibility, but from what I'm seeing Kincaid is going top 20. Every team is looking for that move TE that can shake loose in unison with the QB and the pocket shifting. KMET is the prototypical inline TE and not suited for that role. Kincaid's initial scouting report says he's a more agile Zach Ertz.
  14. Rumor, in my neck of the woods, is that the Colts are all in to draft a QB. Irsay is done with the retread route after Brissette, Rivers, Wentz and Ryan got him nothing. My new personal pipe dream is that we trade back a minimum of two times for extra picks. Before that, I want two new FA OL and at least one DT. That way the draft can give us BPA. With BPA, I'm not afraid to draft Dalton Kincaid with my first. I'm also not afraid to draft a stud RB with second. Since the WR position looks kind of weak, we gain explosives in other ways. Lastly, EDGE and OC look deep. Gimme, gimme, gimme...
  15. We gotta see if Leatherwood can play LG. If so, Whitehair is a trade or cap cut. Also, the more I think of it, Eddie Jackson should be traded. If not, he should be a post June 1 cut. He's not that high end difference maker and saves us 14 million. Gotta get the trenches built with players on the rise.
  16. Bucky Brooks has Kincaid as his seventh best player in the draft. He is exactly what we need at the other TE position. Greg Olsen was talking about Kmet as a potentially great inline TE, but cautioned his ability to create separation and/or beat any coverage of the line of scrimmage, due to lack of twitch.
  17. I'm very interested in Musgrave. He would be a nice compliment to Kmet and is also a fiery competitor. Since the WR outings aren't that great this year, we can find more explosive plays from this and more dynamic running backs.
  18. Crazy stuff. Have we ever had that monetary commitment to OL? Plus, our DL and WR's aren't event close.
  19. Imagine the hole Denver is in now. Gave up good players and picks for Wilson. Then gave him a monster contract. Then give up picks for Peyton. They are hurting if he isn't a miracle worker.
  20. They actually wanted Harbaugh first. Heard that on Greeney today. Also heard Ryans didn't want anything to do with Wilson.
  21. Just like Alonzo Spellman
  22. I agree. Hopefully I didn't portray it otherwise.
  23. Just wondering why the number is much lower than previously mentioned. Is it without dead cap put something?
  24. I'm not sold on Carter either, but we can't look on our failed history of drafting and put the Cubs jinx on Poles. Let's give him that fresh Theo juju. I don't want any bears curses, ever. If we draft 8th, it's by choice and skill of evaluating talent. I would love to draft 8th. That would mean we traded multiple times and are focused on building a rock solid foundation.
  25. Maybe that's how we hook him? There's also the possibility that Payne and Allen can play the 3 tech at the same time or alternate.
