  1. Payne is not the 3T. Jonathan Allen is.
  2. Warren Sapp has a podcast and has placed his neck on the chopping block, stating "Justin Fields will be traded". He doubled down and said, "you heard it here first". He claims to have first hand knowledge. He's an idiot and is the last person I'd listen to.
  3. Like the if/then process analogy. It very hard to know what to do. What would we rather have, one future HOF or three twelve year starters? I can't comprehend the math of it all.
  4. My preference is to trade down and stay in the top 10. Pipe dream is to trade down 3 times and draft 8th, all while netting multiple picks and a 2024 first.
  5. What I meant was, you ignored the previous 3 years for both players, in which Buckner was superior. Payne in a contract year had his best year, by far. Buckner got overpaid because of the trade. Different circumstance for Payne, as he's seeking a raise pic of his rookie deal. It's crazy to think that we can actually have both. They would actually mesh well as their skillsets would compliment each other, technique wise. I'll take either, but would love both.
  6. It's just weird to me. Second round picks usually give interviews on how great things are and blessed they are to have this opportunity. Unhappiness upon unhappiness and failure to be in shape is just abnormal if it's not a mental health issue.
  7. You are going against the previous 3 years of stats, in which Payne has a high of 4.5 sacks, with Buckner outpacing every other year.
  8. A lot of happiness/unhappiness with him. The self reflecting and positive attitude is fantastic, but I would really like to see him check out his mental health.
  9. Nice accolades for him. Now, back to work kid!
  10. I'm going to say Buckner was more productive at the time he got his deal than Payne is now. Plus, Buckner came to Indy via trade of a first round pick. He had Ballard over a barrel in negotiations. I don't think Payne goes past 19 mil avg.
  11. You saw the same thing I saw. He was playing gap and edge control for much of the game. Then, he causes an INT with an athletic play. I don't think we should draft him unless it is after taking back, but I won't be mad if he's taken at one. He's gonna be a handfull in the NFL.
  12. Stroud is better than Young. Maybe Levis too.
  13. I like Paris Johnson. He thrived at the LT role last season. My question would be whether he's willing to play RT or is Braxton Jones willing to move. I wouldn't have had that question 30 years ago, but today's players have a career plan. If we could trade back a few times and pick him up around 10, I would do backflips. That would mean we have picked up at least 3 more second rounders, a couple thirds and a first rounder in 24. We have got to establish this OL before all else for two main reasons. 1) We have to protect Fields to see if he can throw into tight spots and consistently get the ball out on time. Right now, he can't do it because there is too much traffic on his face and footsteps everywhere elseelse. 2) if Fields is not the guy, the OL gives the next man up an incrementally better chance to succeed. 14. I don't see a skill position getting signed, unless it's Nelson Agholar or similar. The running back position is pretty deep in the draft. I see us drafting one that can create more problems for a defense than Monty can. This is important because of our lack of dynamic playmakers elsewhere.. I also wouldn't be surprised if we get a dynamic "move" TE to pair with just to more 11 personnel sets.
  15. Under 40 this past weekend. Things get tighter when the cream rises to the top.
  16. That's why, in so many games, we competed in the first half. Second half comes and things get tighter. Bears lose.
  17. You do realize that the defenses slack off vs the Bears offense because they can. No excuses this year for Justin, but if anyone thinks he is all that and a bag of chips is not objectively looking at the whole picture. He is a below average throwing quarterback at this point in his career.
  18. Are scores up or down for the playoffs?
  19. Please don't. Justin Fields hasn't faced an amped up playoff defense. It's not even close.
  20. I like it. On the old site, we used to be able to have tag lines at the bottom of the post. Mine was always. "It all starts up front"
  21. Agreed. Maybe four if Jenkins stays a whacko.
