  1. You are going against the previous 3 years of stats, in which Payne has a high of 4.5 sacks, with Buckner outpacing every other year.
  2. A lot of happiness/unhappiness with him. The self reflecting and positive attitude is fantastic, but I would really like to see him check out his mental health.
  3. Nice accolades for him. Now, back to work kid!
  4. I'm going to say Buckner was more productive at the time he got his deal than Payne is now. Plus, Buckner came to Indy via trade of a first round pick. He had Ballard over a barrel in negotiations. I don't think Payne goes past 19 mil avg.
  5. You saw the same thing I saw. He was playing gap and edge control for much of the game. Then, he causes an INT with an athletic play. I don't think we should draft him unless it is after taking back, but I won't be mad if he's taken at one. He's gonna be a handfull in the NFL.
  6. Stroud is better than Young. Maybe Levis too.
  7. I like Paris Johnson. He thrived at the LT role last season. My question would be whether he's willing to play RT or is Braxton Jones willing to move. I wouldn't have had that question 30 years ago, but today's players have a career plan. If we could trade back a few times and pick him up around 10, I would do backflips. That would mean we have picked up at least 3 more second rounders, a couple thirds and a first rounder in 24. We have got to establish this OL before all else for two main reasons. 1) We have to protect Fields to see if he can throw into tight spots and consistently get the ball out on time. Right now, he can't do it because there is too much traffic on his face and footsteps everywhere elseelse. 2) if Fields is not the guy, the OL gives the next man up an incrementally better chance to succeed. "It all starts up front"
  8. I don't see a skill position getting signed, unless it's Nelson Agholar or similar. The running back position is pretty deep in the draft. I see us drafting one that can create more problems for a defense than Monty can. This is important because of our lack of dynamic playmakers elsewhere.. I also wouldn't be surprised if we get a dynamic "move" TE to pair with just to more 11 personnel sets.
  9. Under 40 this past weekend. Things get tighter when the cream rises to the top.
  10. That's why, in so many games, we competed in the first half. Second half comes and things get tighter. Bears lose.
  11. You do realize that the defenses slack off vs the Bears offense because they can. No excuses this year for Justin, but if anyone thinks he is all that and a bag of chips is not objectively looking at the whole picture. He is a below average throwing quarterback at this point in his career.
  12. Are scores up or down for the playoffs?
  13. Please don't. Justin Fields hasn't faced an amped up playoff defense. It's not even close.
  14. I like it. On the old site, we used to be able to have tag lines at the bottom of the post. Mine was always. "It all starts up front"
  15. Agreed. Maybe four if Jenkins stays a whacko.
  16. Justin Fields is going to be an enormous factor in attracting free agents. He doesn't have to send a text, a tweet or make call to do it. Players know QB is key and they saw him running wild. They also know how terrible or OL and WR groups were, convincing then that the passing game will be much better with the arsenal we can throw at it. These next few months are going to be off the chain.
  17. I didn't know this rule existed. Very cool. I love that the Bears could be an organization that churns out future minority executives while getting eggs picks. So good on so many levels.
  18. I'm out on Carter being a top 10 pick. His greatest trait is that he has tremendously strong legs. Problem is, he's not super twitchy. Pro OL can handle that.
  19. Yes. Guys like Quinn Meinierz, who nobody heard of, gets drafted in the third round and is a starter. Then there's guys that went in the first round that may have went later. This is big for a couple of gems...
  20. 36 players were drafted in the first three rounds out of the Senior Bowl. (6 in the first round)
  21. We should also ask, how many of those five would've been starters if drafted elsewhere?
  22. Trevor balled out when they needed it. Stud performance! I want that from Justin.
  23. Ooh yeah, you can put on the HOF for the hair flip. Trevor put that team on "let's go mode" the last 6 weeks.
