  1. I agree on Wright, but Davis is average and this IS good. Wright will have his growing in the beginning, along with the rest of the line. It's crazy to think that Jones will be the only starter to play the same position in this offense. I'm very pleased that we are going into camp knowing who the starting five will be. That hasn't happened in awhile.
  2. Hopefully, that's the last we hear of Mustipher. If you want to know how much the OL has improved, look no further than his absence from the roster. If our OL can remain healthy, the continuity they develop should make them a plus unit in the last third of the season.

    Help

Get well soon fellas. The offense should be greatly improved, with 5 upgraded starters and better depth at RB, OL, RB and TE. The defense will have possibly 6 upgraded starters, depending on of the rookies show up in pads. Dexter and Stevenson look to be absolute studs.
  4. He and Deion Sanders were unique in their glide then explode acceleration. There was always a twenty yard area where they zipped past coverage.
  5. His acceleration in a 30 yard span is all time elite...
  6. From the DJ Moore All 22 video you posted, on his thread, I'm thinking key is going to have a good year due to opening up the middle of the field. Also, if Claypool has one more soft tissue injury, he may be the one WR to hit the road. It wouldn't be a bad thing for Poles to admit to be a mistake and cut bait. I firmly believe a message has been sent to all players, that they better be ready for camp. Claypool is one I'll be watching.
  7. I can't see my final roster, but I'll take Brian Robinson and Kenneth Walker III. KW3 got hurt and I put him on IR; I just don't know if I dropped him due to it being season ending. Yes, to rules. I would also like to propose that we cut our rosters to 15 and increase IR to three...
  8. Another thing, they do not have Terrell Lewis making it. Looking at the Bears website, he is listed at LB. I'm thinking he makes the team as a DE pass rush specialist if he looks good during TC. My guess is Flus tests him often in preseason games.
  9. The Athletic came out with their roster projection for the Bears. It's way early, but it's very close to what we've all discussed. https://theathletic.com/4616758/2023/06/19/bears-roster-projection-training-camp?source=user-shared-article One lingering question I have is about ESB vs Pettis at WR. ESB is valued in the run game and Special Teams. My belief is that he not an asset as receiver. Pettis has shown value as a returner and receiver, while being so so at blocking. These two players have specifically different values. My pick is Pettis, while theirs is ESB. I like the receiving production and return ability, given that Velus had some hiccups that could re-emerge. Thoughts...
  10. Not sure what the issue is, but the link to the 22 draft leads me to empty roster spots.
  11. No to Ngakoue. Flus already knows him. He doesn't stick around with teams for a reason. You can add a guy like that to an established team.

    OTAs

The main thing that resonates with me, is that they know who the starting five on the OL are. Looking back at last year, they didn't know until the end of camp. It gives them a much better chance to gain continuity as a unit, as well as identify and develop much needed depth. In addition, knowing Jones, Jenkins, Whitehair and Davis are proven to be average to plus players tells me that the unit has a chance to be great. Adding Darnell Wright, who has the highest ceiling of all them, is icing on the cake. On the defensive side of the ball, I keep hearing from every outlet that Dexter and Stevenson are freaks of nature.

Absolutely! Pads are everything to fatty...?

I would love to see him ascend. But, if he didn't do it last year, I don't think he will.

They are laying hands now. I believe pads are what you are referring to. Pads give the OL a little help in trying to grab a greased pig. The defense always looks better early on.

I remember when you posted the first video on him. Looking deeper into it, he was cut by the Rams because other guys were developing better into the system. What that means is anyone's guess, because they said he worked hard, was likeable and was productive. What Swifty pointed out was a misuse of skill set. If he is better suited for hand in the dirt vs hybrid edge Swifty may have a point. We know he won't have that hybrid role here, so we'll have an answer on him by mid season.

I cut my response short earlier. Was at my son's football scrimmage. If Chase Young is feeling good now, he should be able to handle the load during TC. Athletes have different tolerances and fears than others. Guys that have been injured before tend to be more confident about the recovery. Young may be one that has never been in rehab and is confusing scar tissue discomfort for instability. Hopefully he doesn't have Tommie Harris knees.

He can ask for anything including all medical records.

I don't see any free agents that would help much. If Washington would take a second and fourth for Chase Young, that would be good.
  21. From what hear, they are trying to free up space to extend Jefferson.
  22. I have a random theory on running backs in the draft. Most experts are saying that there's no way they'd draft a RB early. I forget what thread it was on, but we all discussed their value. I still believe that versatile backs, that can create explosive plays and/or extend drives are tremendously valuable. The main thing that teams have trouble with is signing their star to the big second contract. So, my theory is that we'll continue to see what we saw this year, with the two good running backs being taken in the first round. Teams will take them, knowing they can control them for 7 years.(5th year option plus two franchise years) After that, they become disposable.
  23. It's a big one for sure. Health is the primary factor...
