  1. I agree as well. Unless we end up with sexy Rexy and Alex Haynes...?
  2. I've always thought KC would be a good fit. There are also up and comers like Philly and the Giants that have extra picks.
  3. With a roster that is clearly "pressing" to help Fields, it is a good thing, to impress upon all, to stick to the training and don't think to be the hero. (Including Fields)
  4. I'd suggest he put protection packages, how many dropback steps the QB takes and how many pass rushers into his algorithm. It would be very complicated. But, if you are going to do the work, do it well.
  5. There's nothing negative about the Jets winning in Lambeau.
  6. Not true. Every fan base has angst over their young QB's. Fields is getting national attention for two reasons; the bears numbers are epically low and they know Fields is capable of way more than he's shown.
  7. Same. These guys are young and pressing to make plays. They don't have a big veteran presence to calm the huddle. I'm good with three growing pains. The players that are keepers will band together and strengthen each other. I trust this leadership group to recognize who they are.
  8. My true belief is that they are giving him next year. The only time you need to make the big decision is when you have to pay him. It makes no sense moving on so quickly when you know he can be Lamar Jackson with a good OL. My belief is that they are purposefully determining what his niche is going to be, in order to build accordingly.
  9. Poles, Flus and Fields will all be back next year. Keep building the blue chippers next year. If Fields is not the guy after 2023, then the table will be set for the new guy. We needed this year of pain last year, but George wasn't ready for some reason. Remember, this was foreseen by many people and not a result of the current regime.
  10. Now that we all know, let's fix it. The great rebuild is what we thought it would be. Painful. While I'm good with the pain, I'm not good with how it's being dispensed. I get the feeling that Poles and Eberflus are using this season to evaluate Fields instead of develop him. That being said, they are probably trying to see what he's good and bad at, so they can put the appropriate talent around him to succeed. What I want them to do is gameplan around what he does best for him to succeed. It's a subtle difference that can have a happy medium. This off season is going to be a monster and Poles has to be licking his chops. Don't doubt for a second that Fields is going to be anything but our QB ends next year will be about him thriving. My full expectation is a complete upgrade of our skill positions and OL. Adam has already stated that the WR FA class is weak, so we'll have to rely on finding a couple studs through the draft or trade. I'm also looking for a true center, because the two on our depth chart will be lucky to have a job. Then, top it off with another running back. The rest of the OL will be better due to time and experience, which builds the continuity they need. On defense, it starts up front. A pass rushing 3T would be huge, along with a space eater. We could also stand to improve the LB corps. There is a lot of work to do. But it can get done. I personally can't wait to start making mock drafts after the season. As for now, if we can eliminate the mistakes, there is a chance for some wins.
  11. We can't get him in shape soon enough...??
  12. I'm not sure he can play center at this point. He has no base.(no ass) Constantly getting driven back to the QB. Fields has to be better. Mistakes into account for both teams, we should be ahead 14-7. 100% on Fields.
  13. Patrick and Mustipher may be the worst two OL in the league.
  14. I've seen enough of Wentz to know he doesn't take the game seriously. In Indy, he relied on his athletic talent alone. He's a good dude that will never understand that God given talent is simply not good enough for the QB position. IE: goofball...
  15. Had some dialog with my best bro, a retired green beret who now trains special forces and CIA on joint ops. His quote about yesterday's game is pretty cool, "Trained men most of my life... you can see a win.. even in defeat". Love it!
  16. I loved what he had to say. Other than that, sometimes you can't coach the I idiot out of someone. He did dumb stuff at Iowa to lower his draft stock that won't be tolerated in the NFL. The kid explained what he was trying to do, which is in direct contrast to what he was coached to do, per Eberflus. This was a perfect opportunity to Eberflus to show some empathy to a young team. But, bet money it won't be tolerated again from a rookie with a low ceiling.
  17. Peak value is trade deadline, so we have time.
  18. It's really good to be able to relish in a loss.
  19. Agreed, plus we all knew whatever Poles could've done, still wouldn't be enough for this year. IMO, he's doing what's best for future years.
  20. Amen on that. He doesn't know how to switch and is causing too much pressure up the middle. Patrick has to move to center ASAP to see if he still can play, as he has been backpedaling a lot at RG.
  21. There's no-one else to fear, so shut him down and that's good enough.
  22. As far as next year is concerned, the options are limitless. I'm getting extra picks for Quinn, Monty and Roquan. No need to keep folks that won't and don't want to be here for the youth movement. Monty is the exception, but average running backs are expendable. So far, we have 6 picks, while I'm hoping for nine. If we get get pick 5 and our dominant OL/DL isn't there, time to trade it for someone looking for a QB. I DO NOT want to draft another QB until we are rock solid in the trenches. We need to target every position on the DL as BPA, as some want built in a day. As far as skill positions are concerned, we need two recieved better than Mooney, preferably a TE and physical WR that can both separate and win jump balls. Fields needs that "chuck it" guy. Mustipher and Patrick are complete garbage. They can't seem to figure out a switch block to save their ass. And don't get me started on Borom. I can't wait to see how Poles grades them. We must remember how young they are in the process. In the meantime, Bill Polian identified X number of blue chip players. We must continue to strive to identify and develop until we get to that magic 14 number. Maybe we can make an under 27 progress chart for the of season.
  23. A couple of teams that I thought we'd get a win from are looking better than I thought. I'm thinking we finish with 4 or 5 wins. That would be top ten easily.
  24. If anyone remembers, this is who we were predicted to be. It's ok for the next 13 weeks. If Justin is not quicker delivering the ball by then, we'll be drafting accordingly. And we are in position to do so. This year is base level. Next year, the first floor gets built...
