  1. From the perspective of a former offensive lineman; this is a close second to the time Jason tried to convince us that we needed Terrell Owens. (On the hell no scale that is) I couldn't disagree more.
  2. In talking with Jurko today, he agrees with me on Skoronski. Elite feet, great technique, great athleticism, great hand punch, elite awareness and elite football IQ. One thing Jurko said is that he didn't think he'd be a good left tackle. He loves him at the other 4. You mentored him at center and that's exactly why posted that thread about the value of Kelce at center. That's Skoronski's floor.
  3. I've got a little time on my hands this morning so here it goes. Bijan Robinson is a bigger faster stronger version of Christian McCaffry. Why not draft this talent? Everyone is hesitant to pay a RB , but you really don't have to worry about it until year 8, after the fifth year option and two years of franchising. He's the most complete offensive weapon in the draft. Why not?
  4. He was the best left tackle in the big ten for two years. He gave up three sacks in over 1700 snaps. He also can play all five positions. I get what you are saying about him being an over draft for an interior position and it makes sense. It's also kind of strange that he has about the same measurables as his predecessor Rashawn Slater. All said, I believe Skor is an outlier to the short arm rule. If he doesn't excel at tackle, he'll at minimum be average.
  5. I was referring to Skoronski.
  6. The rare ones can break the mold. Mike Tyson had the shortest arms ever for a heavyweight champ in a sport that values it the most.
  7. Kancey is no Aaron Donald. Let's get that straight. I'm not afraid of his short arms though. A guy that can consistently get in the backfield disrupts the timing of plays, which usually leads to a good result for the defense. Mike Tyson had extremely short arms and was effective. A short armed guy can be effective if they are special. My issue with Kancey is that he doesn't seem special enough to invest a first round pick. There is too much of a boom or bust factor. At this point of team development, we are looking for solid. Plus, he still has skinny ankles...?
  8. With Jenkins being better at pass pro, that will solidify that half of the line. If we pan out a good C and RT our OL could be a plus.
  9. I truly believe that four QB's will be gone at eight. There's too much talent in Richardson and Levis. Nobody wants to pass on the next Josh Allen. On a side note, I really don't understand why Levis isn't regarded higher than he is. Dude is a stud. To me, he's the best QB of this class.
  10. Van Ness, Adebawore, Keion White and Tuipulotu are edge players that are projected to be able to play 3T, which makes them versatile enough to play 3 out of the 4 positions on the DL. I believe Carter has the ability to play all 4, so he's sort of a unicorn. I hate to say it, but I think he's going to the Lions.
  11. Carter would be cool. I just don't think he'll be there. It will be a nightmare if Detroit gets him...
  12. I saw it the first play of the video and was in shock. Then I realized he was in strong side contain. Later in the highlights, he seemed to be a little quicker when it was an obvious passing down.
  13. Yes! Unless a surprise defender falls. The 9 pick should be OL. This is judgement year for Fields and he needs the fullest opportunity he can get. If he succeeds, load the D next year. If he fails, the new QB doesn't get murdered... I'm also going stand up and shout from the back row so people in the front row can hear, "the NFL has never had a great team that didn't have a good OL"! Below average quarterbacks have been to and won the Superbowl because of the big boys in the trenches.
  14. That would be amazing! The two edge guys you drafted also can play 3T, which makes for a nice NASCAR package on passing downs.
  15. I agree. I was just answering a question Dawizz asked.
  16. I'll go. He's not a burner, but he's fast enough and has elite short area quickness. Great route runner. Great hands. Has a sturdy build to battle DB's. He was un-guardable on the Rose Bowl, setting a record.
  17. I would to in that instance. But, would not have put him on the Field. I was on record with wanting them to keep Trubisky another year while we fixed it. None of it happened. Lord Poles has a plan. He hasn't let me down yet...??????
  18. Lamar Jackson is an idiot. The media is doing him no favors, as they all decry foul play and how crazy the Ravens are. How many playoff games had he won? He's missed the end of the last two seasons with injury. Lamar is locked in and doing nothing but costing himself and his team. I don't see Mac Jones going. Last year was a complete crap fest with Belichick's enormous ego thinking a career DC could switch to OC. Belichick has jumped the shark and his owner knows it. Kraft said, regarding Belichick sticking around to break Shula's record, "we keep people around that produce".(paraphrase) Can't wait for the surprises.
  19. You guys gave me all insight needed to make things clear to me on a positional basis. In that I was thinking of Peter Skoronski. His short arms have given people pause to be excited about him, but he's still considered top 12. With his agility, strength and technique experts are saying, forget about the arms and play him at any position on the OL and he's going to be a day one starter. If we draft Skoronski, at worst, he'll be a bigger faster stronger Kelce. I'll take him all day long.
  20. Again, I'll disagree. Out of the successes you stated only Fields and Burrow had dismal offensive lines. Marino, Kelly, Brees, Manning, Rodgers, Roethlisberger, Jackson, and Mahommes all had decent offensive lines when they were thrust into action. I don't want to begin the list of sacrificial lambs that didn't have the luxury. All situations we choose to highlight have individual circumstances that can't be quantified. It comes down to individual philosophy like the chicken and egg...
  21. When is the last time it worked?
  22. If a Jason Kelce was coming out, as a rookie, and you knew what you were getting, where would you draft him? I'm going somewhere with this and need your input...
  23. The only way I could love this any more is to add one more thought. When you are a cellar dweller, get your house (OL) in order before you draft your franchise QB. Why lead a lamb to slaughter when you can feast on your opponent...
  24. Hands down Georgia...
