  1. This is a great hire. He's made the Big Ten an absolute fortune. He was also an integral part of getting the Vikings stadium built.
  2. He's busy with 20 year old laundry specialists...?
  3. The thing is, you gotta upgrade RT, C and possibly a G. Whitehair is aging and injury prone and I simply do not trust Jenkins to man up and be a pro, even though he's really good. So, we have three positions that need pushed/upgrade before Jones. That many will be a complete mess to practice and evaluate before they can begin to gain any continuity. Just don't like it.
  4. Love Orlando Brown, but Jones was pretty damn good as a rookie and will incrementally better this year. All about 2 and 3
  5. ...but CJ Stroud is a better passer than Justin Fields...
  6. That's forever called a Pace. The act of fleecing a Pace is forever called a Trubisky.
  7. I'd beware of Pierce and Pittman. Neither have great hands or explosive speed. Pierce has long speed if he could get off the jam. I live outside Indy, so my Colt buddies have given me an earful.
  8. His production is not commensurate to his contract anymore. It's said that he is aging early. If you look at him, the frame is not huge, but the dude is packed in there.
  9. I think Poles is a pay stars at key positions kind of guy.
  10. My expectations are clear. Fix the OL, once and for all. Upgrade, at least 3 DL positions. Draft a starting caliber WR. That's free agency and draft. As for performance, we should end the season in the top fifteen. If Fields figures out passing, we will be a team that scares people. Kinda like what Detroit did this year. Detroit and us have close to the youngest teams in the league and I expect some really good competition for the division title in 2024. My early projection is 8-9 or 9-8. No playoffs. 2024 will be huge. Hang on...
  11. We knew what this season was going to be. Within that thought there were varied growth and win expectations from the Bearstalk family and media experts. This will be the single biggest off-season the Bears or maybe any other team has ever had. Do we know of any team has had the number one pick, an emerging QB and 120 mil to spend? Do you expect playoffs, winning record or vast improvement? What gives Poles and Eberflus the thumbs up?
  12. I agree. We need a right tackle, which is less of a premium. We struck gold in the 5th round with Braxton. He'll do nothing but get better. Finding a RT and center is imperative this year, followed closely with OG.
  13. He's number one with Kiper. Levis has a very live arm with a quick release. A lot of folks downgrade him because they have a ground and pound offense. Ain't his fault.
  14. It's been a speculated move ever since we got him. I'd like to see him as a player that needs schemes inside and out. RE Engram and others; it's historically been a bad idea to sign skill players to free agent contracts unless the QB is ready to make them a weapon. Not yet...
  15. Oh yeah. There are a few scenarios that could get ridiculous. The big play before the draft is for Poles to convince the NFL world that he's not sold on Justin. I expect for some pre draft trade rumors or a cryptic presser that leaves reporters scratching their heads. If we can pull off two trades within the top 5 we'll get 5-6 more players in the 2nd-4th rounds.
  16. He's a perfect fit for any role that fosters loyalty.
  17. Lovie's reward for inspiring his team to win... ...Fired!
  18. Yes. It was all part of the reset. Most fans understand the talent portion of a reset, when combining that with financial strength it becomes muddled. This is the perfect storm for a GM if he feels he has a franchise QB in the midst of a rookie deal. Of Justin's class, the only rival is Trevor Lawrence. He is proving to be the real deal. As of now, I place him ahead of Justin, strictly due to passing. We'lll surprise people next year, but 2024 it's going to be on!
  19. Ryan Poles is currently instructing all perspective buyers to install glory holes in the trucks before docking.
  20. Poles is in complete control of free agency and the draft now! This is how heroes and villains are made...
  21. The only things our heard negative about him is that he has a hard time keeping weight on and has very short arms for the tackle position. Neither is a deal breaker due to his elite athleticism and intelligence. He is said to have superior lateral agility and footwork.
  22. You're right on PFF. One thing I do like is that you can trade for players alongside picks. Look at the draft I posted earlier in this thread and you'll see I got Quentin Nelson and Michael Thomas. PFF value system is way off.
