  1. Don't get me wrong when I say rusty. Late off the ball and playing a little tight to Jenkins is all part of not playing in a long time and overanalyzing to NOT make mistakes. That being said, he's better than Borom.
  2. If you cleverly stated that we lost by design, I completely agree. The gameplan revealed all of it.
  3. This is the one game I want to win. Kick the owner to the curb. Cart his ass off!
  4. I wouldn't mind a couple of late hits on him. Not sorry for saying it either.
  5. Man, I was thinking the same thing. We'd have no talent, no money and no draft picks.
  6. It's time to see if Leatherwood has learned anything from our coaches. In a year and a half, he went from Outland Trophy winner to being cut. He is prototypical talent, the dirt on him is that his initial punch is too low causing him to be imbalanced. What he does do well is run block. In pass pro, he has good feet and assignment recognition, ironically the very traits that Borom lacks. It was mentioned by someone that maybe he could move inside. My response to that is; if he can't figure out whether to block the guy to the left or the right as a tackle, he ain't gonna figure it out as a guard. Borom's brain is stuck in the mud and I don't think it's fixable. He's going to get someone hurt. Also time to see Eiselin. Mustipher has the same issue of NOT knowing the best guy to pickup.
  7. This is exactly it. He is producing at a high level when the gaps aren't as tight as they should be. And he's fast enough if plays his assignments right.
  8. Going Forward with Mooney, Claypool, Pettis, St Brown and Jones is my choice. I don't care much for Prince and Harry. Hopefully, we can find a dynamic reciever in the draft.
  9. Great work Adam! The options are great at this point. This will be an exciting off season. The highlight of all of this is that the entire NFL knows this will be the place to be.
  10. I remember Polian saying a team needs 12-14 blue chip players to contend. Blue chip in the NFL is an above average starter. I think we currently have 6-7. Listening to help this morning, he said he expects 20 new players on the roster next year. That may be radio drama, but I can see at least 16. Probably, 7-8 roster upgrades via FA and draft, with at least 4 big upgrades. The rest would be UDFA and prove it deals. How many do y'all think?
  11. Sorry, typo on Jenkins. Fixed it.
  12. To fix the DL; DaRon Payne is an UFA, get him. Do the trade with the Colts for their 1, 2 and Buckner. Give Buckner an extension. Draft Miles Murphy at 14 for the DE. Having Payne and Buckner will cost around 36 mil a year, so the yearly hit will have to be offset somehow. For the OL fix, I previously stated we should add 2 upgrades. I'm now suggesting 3. Tevin Jenkins cannot be trusted. Any player that's been medically cleared to play, shouldn't go to the coach and tell him he's available in an emergency. (he wasn't on the injury report) Either clock in or clock out. Free agency is loaded at guard and center and the draft is above average. Great year to upgrade the OL. That leaves us with an important piece for Justin. Big play WR is a must. I have it on good knowledge that Claypool is conflicted on his love of the game and what his priorities are. My best friend spent seven days with Steelers during mini camp. Mike Tomlin brought in Brandon Marshall to tutor Claypool. As of now, out is said that Claypool works harder on his social media as an influencer than he does as a player. This trend was fostered through his friendship with Ju Ju. Tomlin could wait to get rid of him. Tomlin is not innocent either. He brought his buddy to be OC because he got his son into a college football program in a little nepotism did pro quo. The OC is put out his depth which did not help Claypool. So it's a coin flip as to whether he'll ever make it. So, who's a deep threat, jump ball getter in the draft? He's looking like round 2-4 though. That's enough for now. Let me have it.
  13. I would take his contract and give him a three year extension. He's a rare 3 tech. At 6'7, he's a huge presence up the middle. Reminds me a lot of Richard Seymour.
  14. According to Flus, he's cleared to play. According to Justin, Flus left it up to him. He should take this week off IMO. Plus, I want his legs fresh, so he can impress the owner when he comes to town.
  15. First off, it was Buckner, a first and a second. Secondly, he's only due 50 mil over three seasons. Lastly, he's a stud and we can afford it. So yes, I'd do it...
  16. How about this trade scenario? Colts give us their 1 and 2, plus Deforrest Buckner.
  17. Oh snap. When I did I forgot to add the early third rounder we also give them. They see what Justin is doing and every team wants that.
  18. Here's my pipe dream and BTW, it's realistic. If one of top 2 QB's falls to us, we trade our 3 to Detroit for their 6 and 13. With our 6, we take BPA. Trade the 13 for a late one and two to stockpile early picks.

Something I just remembered; Fields was set to get another NFL record out he rushed for 100 yards. I would hate to think that had something to do with the gameplan, because I can't wrap my head around Getsy calling those last two runs.
  20. Same thing ruined Baker Mayfield last year. It depends on the degree of separation.

I don't get it. Even if it takes awhile to learn, Justin can tell him in the huddle. 10 yard out, sluggo, post, skinny post, deep out/in, slant, bubble. I've seen enough of ESB and Harry to know they don't have what Claypool has. Right now, my order is Mooney, Kmet, Claypool, Pettis. As much as we run they should have 90% of the targets. Back to conspiracy theories: maybe they know Claypool will have an enormous impact on the outside, as seen in his first game here. Those PI's are as big as catches. I can't believe they are being that cagey, in trying to sandbag for next year. It would be devilishly brilliant if they really knew and it worked...lol
