  1. Good thought process, but I abhor the Faalele pick, as we need a left tackle. (Jenkins is not an LT IMO) Now, if we happened to do a wild thing and sign Terron Armstead, we could do something really nasty with Faalele. Fallele RT, Jenkins RG, Whitehair C, Borom LG, Armstead LT. That would create a road grating OL for the run game. And if Mustipher is a decent option with this new regime, cut Whitehair and save the money.
  2. You got that one. We still do not have a rostered LT, as I don't believe that is where Jenkins is suited or will be. So, you need a starter and backup there. I'm not sure if we have a suitable 3T on the roster either, so ditto...
  3. He is, but his injury history would be a big concern paying him huge bucks.
  4. I think you and I have been on lockstep this off season
  5. I would love to add Armstead. He was a guest on GMFB yesterday. They showed a clip of Sean Payton taking about him and talking about his leadership. Lemon stated in another thread that he is an injury risk. Say we fork out 16 mil a year to Armstead, then we can draft BPA with our two second round picks. We could really upgrade our receivers and secondary quickly. This is also a great draft for edge rushers and you can never have enough of those. Or what about Eric Fisher?
  6. Yes. I think the statement with Mack says that we are going through the pain this year to correct Paces' bad decisions. Honestly, I think this is the Polian effect. We have always looked to dream for the next guy to take us over the hump, instead of building something very solid. With the franchise getting solid advise that they are NOT going anywhere this season, they can focus on 2023 without worrying about now. This is exactly what I wanted last year and am finally getting it this year.
  7. Something else I heard today is that we will be in on the bidding for Armstead. The Saints absolutely can't afford him. He's got several good years left.
  8. I remember you saying this. An expert on Waddle and Silvey said Daniels has informed the team he will test the waters in free agency, then decide whether to re-sign. He's looking to get 12 mil/year.
  9. Quinn should be next. What's the math on that? I'm hearing he'll net a third round pick and maybe a contingent pick next year.
  10. Look for Quinn to go next. They can probably get a third for him.
  11. Mack is on the trading block per Schefter. To Chargers. Now Rappaport. Second this year and a sixth next. Now confirmed!
  12. That'll be interesting to watch play out. Some site projected him to get 7-8 due to comparable performance and contracts. Somebody always over pays for players they feel will make a difference. Other than us, the Bengals make the most sense, but their owner is a major tightwad.
  13. I would love that as a Bears fan.
  14. They brings us to 5 OL somewhat under contract. I truly expect them to sign Daniels, but you never know what the Bengals might do with all their loot.
  15. My bad. Luck was out that season and they went 4-12. Next year was 11-7. The following year Brissette took over, then Phil, then Carson. He messed up by not drafting one last year, but Reich took the blame. It's been a weird deal. I heard that they reached out to Rivers last year as well.
  16. Ballard was handed a bad hand in Indy to start his career. Nobody knew Luck was going to unexpectedly quit. In the meantime, he retooled the roster to where they just need a QB to contend. Frank Reich is on record that he stuck his neck out there to get Carson Wentz. Sure Ballard it's ultimately on Ballard, but I probably would have listened to my HC that knew him best. In the meantime, Jimmy G is probably the new Alex Smith.
  17. They all just recieved RFA tenders.
  18. I look for Seattle to parlay those picks to get Watson.
  19. Yeah, it would be tough. But, with Quinn you get something proven. Contenders that need just a little more might do it.
  20. That's why I think an asset or two will be traded, especially Quinn. This is the only year we get the benefit of knowing what several scouting departments think. Anyone over 30 won't be here when we get good.
  21. I wouldn't wait till the 5th. Good catch Stinger.
  22. At first, I said no to Zion, as I read various articles that his athleticism was limited. He did very well for himself this week. GM's loved him in the interviews. I still contend LT is priority one, but after that any good OL prospect will make us better.
  23. Good list. David Bell may slip to the middle after running a 4.65. He might be a good fit in the 3rd/4th round if we draft a fatty first.
  24. Every year players stock rises and falls at the combine. Who y'all got?
