  1. Our OL, DL, WR and QB are simply not good enough. Darnell Mooney can not separate. He got outran by a safety in the middle of the field last night and he's not physical enough to beat press coverage. Cole Kmet spends his life as a TE chip blocking. Justin Fields will be late for his own funeral. If anyone watched American Underdog, the training Kurt Warner recieved to speed his processing time is exactly what Fields needs. Now for my time to rant: On the first offensive play of the game, how did the call a 15 yard low block penalty on our DB? First, there was no contact at all. Secondly, you can clearly see the OL is attempting to engage the DB. And lastly, it was clear the DB was trying to avoid the OL to get to the runner. See the picture, he's already past the OL's front leg and his body piston is locked into making a tackle. It's a phantom call that happens every time we play the Packers. It's a tone setter that says you are going to get f'd regardless of your effort. Low and behold, they screwed Fields out of a TD on that stupid shotgun run from 6". Collinsworth saw from the booth and the folks from GMFB saw it in their studio this morning. I didn't expect us to win last night or any other that Rodgers is playing, but damn.
  2. Double f@&k! We run out of shotgun at the 6" line, which was dumb, and get screwed on the replay. You can clearly see his hand over the line, but camera didn't pick up the ball. Horseshit!
  3. The Chargers got screwed with about 10 min to go in the first half. They got called for a PI on a play that was clearly not. KC ended up scoring, so a potential 17-0 quickly turned into 10-7. That's why I believe all plays should be challengable.
  4. I like Fields, but love Herbert. This makes me curious: can you expound on why you resoundingly choose Fields?
  5. He was bitching that he didn't want it all guaranteed like Watson.
  6. We've had many discussions on how fickle the media can be, but now they are turning on Russell Wilson. He's been a media darling for a decade and now he's rumored to be a phony douche. He even got ripped by Keshawn Johnson today for screwing over Lamar Jackson with the contract he signed. The love comes and the love goes.
  7. Agreed to the most part, but he does hold on a little too long. I'm looking for that clock to tick faster for him.
  8. This early into a career, it's very hard to compare anything to anything. Too many variables.
  9. Indeed. Three rookies on D played well.
  10. Yes. Add that other OL throughout the league went down, so you get em quickly.
  11. It was reported as a non football illness on Carmen and Jurko.
  12. I watched Hard Knocks for the first time this year. There is so much to learn from reps in camp and pre season games, so determining why he's gone is almost impossible for us.
  13. Ha ha! He was excited to the point where he was kinda giving him that look before he headed up field. One analysis I have on Jenkins is on his help blocking. He continually shows that he is an unselfish player by always being ready to help. As he has never played guard before, you can tell by how he over committed his help on the first sack. It closed the pocket so Fields couldn't step up. I don't fault him on that play because of one millisecond. He'll clean that up the more he trusts on what he sees.
  14. Noticed the same when I re-watched the game. Eddie Jackson scores too, if he would've waited a step. I won't ever hold that against a DB unless they do something ridiculously stupid.
  15. Power rankings came out and 7 teams that lost are ranked higher than us. Let's ride!
  16. I'm thrilled with the victory. We were all looking to see change and we got. One thing I noticed that gives me a little pause for concern was that Justin reverted back to his extended arm motion that he spent the off-season trying to fix. It was only for a couple of series that he was highly pressured. It seems that he reigned it in when he was more comfortable, which overall is a good sign. He made the adjustment...
  17. I read somewhere where Patrick was listed as center 1 on the depth chart and Mustipher was 2.
