At the half, Trevis Gipson is the player of the game. Loved what I saw from Gordon, Stevenson, Pickens, Lewis, Sewell, Herbert, Moore and Fields. I'll evaluate the OL play tomorrow. Bear down!

The rookies are playing well. Stephenson, Dexter, Pickens and Wright will be starters. Sewell and Johnson will see significant time.

Watching NFL Network today. Brian Baldinger is there. He was saying that pre-draft Darnell Wright was his number one tackle prospect. He raved about how heavy handed he is and that he's just a naturally big thick dude.

He actually kept his family here while he played in SF. He's really good on the radio. He's on with Waddle and Silvey on Friday afternoon.

Robbie Gould is doing work at ESPN 1000 and says he's ready whenever called. He wants to finish raising his family here.

That's important, especially with trust. Justin can let it rip sooner if he trusts his target.

Not really, IMO. (Tag, draft, FA) If a guy knows he's the dog, then nothing will sway his option of himself. If a guy knows everyone around him sucks, like last year's DL, he may feel secure for a season but knows a reckoning is coming. There are twice as many guys on the cusp of making it compared to those that already have. This creates a dog eat dog environment.

I love this form of training for several reasons, but I'll only give two. 1) It gives the young guys the confidence of knowing they can do it. 2) It lets the starter know that the young guy can do it...

I'm totally in on this if Justin can throw quickly. We just haven't seen it yet.

Jurko interviewed Flus today and asked about Davis. Flus said he has no worries and Davis will be there soon. Davis has a reputation of not wanting to practice, but they knew that when they signed him. My guess is that he's inside conditioning with a personal trainer.

Saw an interview with Poles and Scott Pioli today. Pioli asked about Wright and scouting process. Poles went on to talk about the workout that he and our OL coach put Wright through was grueling. Toward the end, Wright told Poles, "I'll never f'n quit on you!". Poles said that that gave him goosebumps. I love that shit!
