Preseason is meaningless
The only reason I care, is that I wanted to see him play in person. Selfishness aside, it's probably a good move after two strong joint sessions with the Colts. My guess is that he plays some next weekend.

Preseason Game 1 - Bears vs Titans
The more I see Dexter, the more I see a 2 tech. He has the natural instincts of a run stopper. I know a lot of college training taught him read and react, but an NFL 3 tech does not have the luxury of time. I'll be looking for more of him in the backfield this weekend. On the other hand, Pickens has all the aggressiveness of a 3T. I like both of these guys, but so far I'm wrong about the former.

I would love that. It is also Justin's strength...

Proverbs 27:17 proclaims: “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another”. This simple statement has been a calling for all these years to understand that no one is alone. That in order to make yourself better, there is a mutual benefit making others better through mentorship, follower-ship, and leading.- Anything comments
I'm kicking myself right now. I live 25 minutes from Colts camp and I failed to look into getting tickets for the scrimmages. They are free too. Time to hit my contacts...- Preseason Game 1 - Bears vs Titans
Swifty saw the same thing I did, after review. He did a good job showing the angle of his back. One thing he failed to objectively observe was that Dexter was, indeed, slow off the snap. He looks to be reading, as he was taught in college. IMO, that's not a bad thing, as long he adjusts. I'm also not overly concerned about the pad level yet, as he only needs to drop a couple of inches. Are 6'6 he is always going to be a little higher and that is ok of his leverage and strength is hard to deal with. He has been compared to Jalen Carter on this site. Carter is different on the next level.- Predicting the 53-man roster
After thinking about it, I don't think Velus makes the 53. His football instincts just aren't there.- Preseason is meaningless
I think pre season is important to develop brain mapping and muscle memory against different athletes.- Predicting the 53-man roster

This guy is taking a gamble on his reputation.- Preseason Game 1 - Bears vs Titans
They were constantly switching back and forth, so it would be easy to do.- Preseason Game 1 - Bears vs Titans
Good summary with one correction. Pickens got the sack you credited Dexter with.- Preseason Game 1 - Bears vs Titans
Velus doesn't seem to be a natural football player. Great size and speed combo, no feel for the game.- Preseason Game 1 - Bears vs Titans
At the half, Trevis Gipson is the player of the game. Loved what I saw from Gordon, Stevenson, Pickens, Lewis, Sewell, Herbert, Moore and Fields. I'll evaluate the OL play tomorrow. Bear down!- Preseason Game 1 - Bears vs Titans
The rookies are playing well. Stephenson, Dexter, Pickens and Wright will be starters. Sewell and Johnson will see significant time.- Preseason Game 1 - Bears vs Titans
Gipson was grossly held, robbing him of a sack.- Preseason Game 1 - Bears vs Titans
Dexter and Pickens changed the whole dynamic of the D.- Preseason Game 1 - Bears vs Titans
Meanwhile, Jordan Love looked good yesterday...?- Training Camp Begins
Dexter was always going to be a 3T. He's a bigger Deforest Buckner and Richard Seymour. All are 6'6. Dexter just has 20# on them. Nasty.... - Anything comments
