  1. I'm all for nostalgia, but damn there are too many negatives about the current venue. We could literally have a stadium that holds 100k fans, hotels, restaurants, bars and parking. It would be awesome!
  2. I was getting ready to say something similar. If he's on the fence, then I'm not...
  3. I hope you are right. My opinion is simply based on historical data that tells me rookie QB's and LT's struggle greater than any other positions. Given that Jenkins has minimal experience at LT and was projected to be a RT lends to more development required. Is the arrow pointing up? Yes, but next year IMO.
  4. I hate to be the negative guy, but I disagree with any prediction of a really good offense this year. First year QB and LT make me very nervous. What's the bust rate on first round QB's, then factor in the bust rate on second round tackles...
  5. They have NO backup and Jenkins has very little experience at LT. This is a huge gamble by Pace. Please pray for a cap cut veteran that has experience, otherwise this season will be a complete disaster and a wasted year for the development of Fields.
  6. I personally hope they move. The nostalgia would be missed, but that's all. I hate the experience of walking 20 minutes to get into the stadium and being smashed into the smallest seats they could find. The Arlington property has room for parking, a dedicated train from the Chicago, room for hotels, restaurants and bars. A new experience would be refreshing. And they'd still be the Chicago Bears.
  7. Agreed. He was injured in non contact drills and it was lower leg again. He was done when we retired him. Time for him to do commercials for the Good Feet store.
  8. I rated fields as the best QB in the draft. You all know how valuable info is coming from me since I also rated Trubisky highest in his draft ?. If I can get to even, I'd be more than ecstatic. ????
  9. We still have zero left tackle depth, with a rookie left tackle with mostly right tackle experience.
  10. We got hardly any push from the DL allowing the QB to step up and throw.
  11. If we are the 7th team in, I want it to be hard earned with solid wins and some heartbreaking losses that make us say, "we should have a better seed than this"...
  12. The main thing that excites me is that I never heard a single story about how Trubisky did anything like this, ever. The most exciting story I heard about Trubisky, is when Pace went down to visit him and he booked the private room under the name Jim McMahon. That's actually sad looking back...
  13. Love it. We can also look at the successes in the run game.
  14. Yet he's worth 5 million dollars. Welcome to bizarro world.
  15. Exactly. Plus, Fields has the build to shrug off the first tackler where Vick had to juke them.
  16. With Vick, it was the first 5 yards that set him loose and to the eye, special. Fields has long speed and a bigger frame. Both skillsets are great, but different.
  17. Vick just ran a 4.7 last week at forty years old.
  18. He has a unique technique. On pass sets, he waits for the DL to get hands on him first then apply a counter move. My only concern is if he faces a strong handed edge rusher that uses that against him. We'll see real soon. I'm optimistic!
  19. Speed was a weakness and now a strength!
  20. Agreed and hope we are right. I'd love to give them hell for the next 15 years...?
