    Typical BS

Well as i see it, all NFL players are contracters. In my industry you can only renegotiate your pay once your old contract is up. During your contracted time the company has full right to terminate your contract for any reason whatsoever. So yes people do ask for raises, but unlike players they haven't signed an obligation to work for.a specific sum for a specific time
  2. They would never do that because people line up each year to drop money on it. I personally still play 2005 whenever I want to get some football game fix. I'd much rather play football for real
  3. The fact that there was an announcement of the offer and not of a deal means that Forte has either declined it or intends to decline it. had it been viewed as a fair deal then he would have already accepted. My guess is he will go into next season unsigned and force the bears to put the tag on him. Then go back to the table where he will get a larger contract than offered here. The bears have stated that they expect a discount because he is on contract, so he will simply wait till he is off contract before signing his new deal
  4. with all of the references to him being a marshall faulk type player, why not give him marshal faulk money
  5. According to ESPN Taylor was called back in to practice and is not the cut list. apparently the front office was not ready to cut ties with him yet.. also it was mentioned that there was some interest in a trade for him. Maybe Barber's injury is worse than anticipated.
  6. According to the suntimes they left the field in a hurry because they were busses over to a nearby school to finish practice
  7. it wasn't that he was overweight, it was that he was massively overweight. Accoring to ESPN he was listed as a playing weight of 332 last year, finished the season at 360, then came to camp at 400. Plus his history of laziness was a huge deciding factor.
  8. No reason to panic about that line up yet. That article was from Saturday. The article from this morning http://www.chicagotribune.com/site/newspap...0,1132442.story stated that the first team going forward will be Webb - Williams - Garza - Louis - Carimi Spencer will start with the second team on Thursday due to his inexperience with the offense and will compete with garza. If spencer wins the job garza will shift back to RG and Louis will compete against Willaims for LG
  9. Moss is resigning with the redskins per espn
  10. Tiki Barber Who wouldn't want a 36 year old running back who retired 4 years ago? Looks like the analyst gig wasn't working out.
  11. the question that remains, is there a team out there that is willing to over pay hanie so the bears don't match?
  12. Excerpt from HH hillenmeyer say goodbye
  13. I've heard some reports, no sure how legitimate they are, that his concussion from last year could be career ending. Again not sure if that was true when he was placed on IR or if that was just brought up in the event noone picks him up
  14. And I for one welcome our returning coach overlord!
  15. For those who wanted to make a run at sydney rice, it is at least possible now. Vikings to Tag Greenway
  16. Well not necessarily. Teams have been known to overspend on backup QBs they feel could be franchise players.. I'm not saying Hanie will be, or that the cards would consider him that way. But you never know. I do know however that the cards don't currently employ a QB, contrary to popular belief. Let's modify it somewhat. Lets say they ask for Hanie, Knox, and a draft pick. The pick could be any pick we have this coming draft. The question then becomes who would the Bears get to replace Hanie. Either they are going to have to use a mid level pick to get a replacement, and hope they can fill the backup role or get another vet and pray they aren't related to a Collins. Either way a vet would need to be brought in. When it comes down to it, we have Cutler now. So the goal of the team should be to find players to sit behind him and develop enough into trade material. Not saying Hanie is at the point, but it wouldn't surprise me if at least one or two teams come calling this offseason and inquire about what it would take to give him up. there is no way the bears don't resign or tender him (provided the CBA is completed).
  17. would you make the trade if you could get him for knox and hanie?
  18. There are reports that he'll attract attention as a kick returner so if we wanted him back it might cost us more than the vet minimum.
  19. When asked why people hate Cutler, Sapp responded "To sum it up in one word, body language." Oh and the picks were 2 for GB, 1 for Bears, and 1 no decision.
  20. One of those during Rodger's unstoppable 4 game winning streak. Everyone seems to ignore that the unstoppable offense only won because the Bears couldn't get into the endzone that game.
  21. The Onion put it best Saints Lose First Round Bye
  22. That may be but it definitely will light the fire under a lower seeded team with a better record having to play an away game. Maybe nothing changes, but do you think the outcome would've been different if the game were in NO?

    Cutler

I believe that is the report on Cutler. He throws picks because he doesn't factor in previous picks when he throws the ball. Sometimes it comes back to bite when he is sucking it up, but I think what we saw was the other side of the coin yesterday. He throws the pick six then goes back out there like it never happened.

    Aromashodu

Well if you look at the injury report for yesterday Bennett sat out with an ankle injury. That may explain why Aromashodu and Davis made appearances.
