  1. Kinda how i feel, except for the Cutler sentiment. Trade away a pro bowl WR and pick up a rookie. Head-scratcher.
  2. At this point I think Shelton makes the most sense.
  3. FUUUUUUCK. Now it is White.
  4. OMFG! PLEASE JETS...PASS ON WILLIAMS!
  5. This is a great draft thus far. Nevermind...now White is the guy and i dont like it.
  6. YEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!! Whew. That had me worried.
  7. It would be jitters in that he'd be trying to make the big splash, the fancy pick, to prove how smart he is. It is over ambitious, and would cost far too much for a team with so many holes. It reaks of "young manager".
  8. Agreed. Horrible idea unless it is that crazy Manziel move.
  9. EXACTLY. That would be awesome.
  10. Make no illusions; you're a Cutler hater. And giving up all that was mentioned originally would be insane. As for the other stuff, the OL was good one year. One. Otherwise the two on the left have aged and degraded, and Mills got much worse. There is a reason Forte always gets hit in the backfield. Drafting a blue chip OL like Peat or Scherff would almost certainly improve the offense byconsiderable margins. Scherff next to Long would be a runner's dream, and something defenses would have to overload against. I have said i dont like or want DL or OLB, but there is certainly uncertainty. And the flaws at S are as you noted; I still think Collins would make a huge impact. Agreed about the second tier QBs. If the Bears want a QB, they should look outside of the 1st.
  11. Then trade back for more? That could be interesting. Trade in to get rid of Cutler? Then trade back out? If the Bears go to 2, I sure hope it is for Williams and not Mariota.
  12. Thats a little closer to tolerable, but still tough to swallow considering all the present issues. 7+Jay+5th+Allen is still a HUGE sum to move up for an unknown. But considering the cap space, maybe it would save enough money to pay one of the FAs still sitting out there. I wouldn't mind kicking the tires on Wes Welker as the slot WR. He would be an excellent compliment to AJ.
  13. Hopefully a smokescreen. Freaking atrocious idea.
  14. So you'd take Away the leadership of the offense, sacrifice the future of the draft, get rid of the nearly career leader in Bears passing records, dump off one of the best RBs in Bears history (not to mention one of the handful of three down backs in the NFL), to get a rookie QB with questionable intangibles off the field who will certainly lose a lot of games with a bad defense and a porous OL? I'd take Winston if he fell to seven and we couldn't trade out.
  15. So, with Cutler and a huge contract, a porous OL, a new defensive scheme with tons of unknowns, definite holes at ILB and S if not also NT and 3-4 DE, an absence at WR now that Marshall is gone, and empirical evidence that trading up is a bad idea in terms of overall value added, yet you STILL want to trade up to get the second rated QB (and some question that because of the scheme) of a weak QB class? That's insane.
  16. I hope you are right.
  17. I don't like Jones that much and Funchess is an unknown (boom/bust).
  18. Best drafts in my opinion: New Orleans - Monster draft. Tons of athletes. Dupree, DGB, Arik, Lockett. Their WRs become explosive again. Cincinnati - Four potential starters? Two secondary guys to solidify that spot. Cleveland - Hard not to have a good draft with two high picks. Dawson is a perfect pairing with Shelton. New York (A) - Scary offensive additions. Mariota to Conley would be a great combo, and Yeldon is a star on that team. Tennessee - Very scary defensive additions. Williams and Flowers would turn that defense around and improve the other levels by default. Hundley is a steal where they got him.
  19. I wouldn't like it. I still think the Bears have far too much DE/OLB talent uncertainties to spend picks on rushers who will also need to be truly vetted in Fangio's 3-4. Beasley would likely get stuck in a rotation at best, and fall behind productive vets at worst. I absolutely don't like a pass rush pick for the Bears until the 4th.
  20. After careful consideration, conference with trusted sources, and a tempting worm on the hook in the form of Garrett Grayson, the Bears select... James Sample, SS, Louisville. He likely takes Mundy's job by mid season and makes a good pairing with Rolle.
  21. That's a pretty good order. Mine would be: Winston/trade, Mariota/trade, Williams, Cooper, Scherff, Shelton, Peat, White, Fowler, Collins, Beasley, Waynes
  22. I will make the pick very shortly, but still taking suggestions. Any one player you love, feel passionate about, and can convince me of in terms of need/fit/BPA/whatever, I'm still open. This really would be a bad hand dealt to the Bears if it played out like this.
  23. You think he might slip into the third but every scouting report says his lack of experience and some flaws in coverage put him into the 5th or 6th. That is concerning.
