  1. I’m not sure I would want Fields if he slipped either. I just can’t get over the Luckeye QB streak. They just suck once they get to the NFL. Add in the epilelpsy thing, and consider me suitably concerned. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/justin-fields-ohio-state-qbs-nfl-draft-history/hu5wl7fz7k8s17n9f3w5ioero
  2. I’m actually intrigued by the double QB approach. Kind of genius to be honest. Protect Dalton for a year with two monsters, and then roll the dice twice on rookie QBs. Put pressure on them to prove their worth.
  3. At least you stick to your guns. I remember you saying the same about Trubisky, being high on him, and being happy about the trade. I also remember loathing it, thinking it was a horrible idea to trade up, give up picks, all for a guy who barely played in a weak conference, all while the overall team needed multiple positions strengthened. If you get what you want, I hope the end of the story isn't the same.
  4. Not this shit again.??? does this clown ever trade DOWN?
  5. Overall it's OT as a primary, with CB/QB/WR tied as a secondary. We should be able to get to a consensus. Grabbing a 2nd OT or QB could prove to be difficult unless using an early pick. 2021 Everyone Agrees Mock Draft V1 Round 1 Pick 20: Jalen Mayfield, OT, Michigan (B+) Round 2 Pick 20: Elijah Molden, CB, Washington (A) Round 3 Pick 19: Tutu Atwell, WR, Louisville (A+) Round 5 Pick 20: Brenden Jaimes, OT, Nebraska (A) Round 6 Pick 21: Zac Thomas, QB, Appalachian State (B) Round 6 Pick 25: Adetokunbo Ogundeji, DE/OLB, Notre Dame (A+) Round 6 Pick 38 (COMP): Warren Jackson, WR, Colorado State (A+) Round 6 Pick 45 (COMP): Marcelino Ball, FS/SS, Indiana (A+) Please comment on specific players and/or positions at draft spots. You can tell there wasn't personal bias involved because there isn't a single SEC guy in there.

    Mock Drafts

Overall I'm a big fan, but I don't want Walker Little. No football in 2 years is way too risky.

    Mock Drafts

I'm a very big fan of his. Some here may recall I was very high on Dak Prescott for similar reasons. He fit the Bill Parcells criteria, and was also SEC. Mond would be a very good pick for the Bears, exactly the draft-a-QB-every-year-strategy I think they should use given the historical ineptitude.

    Draft settling in

100%. I could envision a scenario where he's hoping for one of the QBs to drop to 20, and none do. Then he drafts a QB at 20 any way, and swears up and down the Bears had a 1st round grade on the guy.
  9. Agree. I don't want a team that is perpetually +/- 2 games from .500. That doesn't threaten for a SB, and it also doesn't provide suitable draft picks to get incredible prospects.

    Mock Drafts

Depending on the OTs available, and there will likely be multiple, it make sense for the Bears to trade down. For this mock, that's what I did. It's time to load up on the OL, protect the QB, provide him weapons, and see what he can do. It's also time to find a young QB and see if he can be molded. I feel like every player listed below can contribute next year. Your score is: 42745 (GRADE: A) Your Picks: Round 1 Pick 28 (N.O.): Jalen Mayfield, OT, Michigan (A-) Round 2 Pick 13 (JAX): Liam Eichenberg, OT, Notre Dame (A-) Round 2 Pick 20: Elijah Moore, WR, Mississippi (A) Round 2 Pick 28 (N.O.): Kelvin Joseph, CB, Kentucky (A-) Round 3 Pick 19: Kellen Mond, QB, Texas A&M (A+) Round 5 Pick 20: LaBryan Ray, DT/DE, Alabama (A+) Round 6 Pick 21: Adetokunbo Ogundeji, DE/OLB, Notre Dame (A+) Round 6 Pick 25: Robert Hainsey, OT/OG, Notre Dame (A+) Round 6 Pick 38 (COMP): Warren Jackson, WR, Colorado State (A+) Round 6 Pick 45 (COMP): Marcelino Ball, FS/SS, Indiana (A+)

    Draft settling in

No. Please God, no. The Bears absolutely should not push in all their chips on a single player.
  12. No trading up. Please. Especially for the 4th or 5th QB in the draft. I don't care if Pace and Nagy are convinced he's "the guy." They felt the same way about Trubisky, even though Watson was obviously a better pick and was staring them in the face, and it completely blew up in their face. Not again.
  13. Everyone please reply with your top 5 needs in order. I'll compile, throw in a draft, and we can whittle down to something everyone agrees on. As in previous years, please don't post a mock in this thread. Keeping track of multiple mocks is impossible. If you don't like a draft or if you love a draft because of a specific player, just say so. Similar to before, I won't insert my wants or bias to the best of my ability. And Go!!
  14. This is what I've been saying for years.
  15. Precisely. But Pace loves to throw around draft picks like his bench is full of pro bowlers, so that draft pick is meaningless to him.
  16. What a stupid move this was. Just because they know him. Maybe they should figure out how to get Cohen the ball on the outside, in space, instead of slamming a 175lb dude into a line full of 300lb monsters. Just like freaking Garrett Wolfe, completely misused.
  17. I’ve been a Bears fan for nearly 40 years, and I’m afraid my dwindling interest would finally break if they did that. I’m sick of seeing the same mistakes year after year after year, and that’s a franchise-breaking gamble on a single roll of the dice.
  18. Too bad Dalton will be under a pile before he has a chance to throw on 75% of the plays that are more than a 3-step drop.
  19. He did. Last year. Career highs in sacks, tackles, tackles for loss, and QB hits.
  20. Probably the Rams considering Floyd's production and brand new contract.
  21. Nope. Not in my opinion. Taylor is definitely better. Taylor (when starter) averages 3220yds, 18.5TDs, and 5.8INTs for a 16 game season. Trubisky averages 3328yds, 20TDs, and 11.6INTs for a 16 game season. The VERY minimal stat differences are not worth the double INT numbers.
