  1. You don't know that. I've seen plenty of RBs this year get stopped by one guy. I know because I've yelled at my fantasy RB for not getting me points. Drafting a RB in other than a VERY late round would be stupid.
  2. If you're counting - and I am - that's three false starts. So much for this OL having a good game. Blew their load on the first drive.
  3. Agreed. But I happen to believe a passive scheme promotes passive play.
  4. Is it Tillman or the scheme? I don't really know, but the cover-2 definitely puts cover corners in a bad position of sitting down into an area and guarding it...rather than the player.
  5. Wrong. That was pure coverage...not Cutler indecisiveness. (But he should have thrown it away)
  6. When I said, "I've pretty much been saying it all year," I meant that I've been saying the Bears have been overachieving and were probably going to be one of those one-and-done teams. Reminding me of the year Steve Smith torched the Bears and sent them home. With that said, after four games (can't find the preseason predictions) I pretty much said that the Bears were in the playoffs. http://www.talkbears.com/forums/index.php?...ost&p=83939
  7. I hope you're wrong, but I suspect you're right. I've said it pretty much all year. But since they've officially made it into the playoffs, I'm going to hope for greatness over expecting the norm.
  8. Horrible inside shoulder throw. That play was far too quick for it to be an inside shoulder throw. HAD to be outside shoulder...and it wasn't.
  9. Design less predictable blitz packages and use them in unorthodox, unpredictable patterns. Other teams can do it, but it's just not part of the cover-2 package. Ever notice how frequently the Bears send a blitz that gets stoned? It sure does seem to happen more often to the Bears than most other teams I watch. When was the last time you saw a Bears' blitzer come clean? Not that often. I just flipped the channel during commercials, and saw it happens in the Rams/Niners game.
  10. And that is why I hate the cover-2. Gave up the majority of the field far too easy, and a good team will get a TD if you let them get close.
  11. Tommie has been in on two good plays. Unfortunately, the Bears' cover-2 is the Bears' cover-2. It relies far too much on a four-man rush creating pressure, and allows average QBs to carve up the secondary for the majority of the field. Hell, on the one play that there was a rush, the Bears sent 6 and the Jets calmly stoned it before throwing a 10-15 yd completion. Let's hope they hold here.
  12. Agreed. Didn't like the initial penalty on the OL, but the running attack has been looking pretty good. And the TD run was up the middle...which is all OL (and a great seal block by Olsen). What I don't like right now is the D...they don't look great. The fumble was nice, but the pressure isn't happening and the cover-2 has holes.
  13. The odd thing is, I don't see how ANYONE can disagree with Boston. The Patriots DO have one of, if not the best front office and management structures in the league. Meanwhile, it could easily be argued that the Bears have one of the worst. And let's not even begin to compare The Hoodie with The Zombie. Puhlease.
  14. I don't know about top ten, but when making comparisons we have to consider the impact of the plays. I'm not saying they're completely equal, but imagine every Hester return for a TD as two or three sacks. Or equate them to 80 yards passing and one score. I know it's arbitrary, but to convey how a kickoff or punt return affects the game - boosts the Bears and destroys the morale of the opponents - we must consider quantity AND quality.
  15. I agree with you. Not terribly impressed, and the inside running was a direct reflection. There is a reason why Taylor had to battle a DLineman for the handoff on nearly every play he got the ball. Add in a few bonehead penalties, and one of the worst starts this season, and I it's still evident they are the weakest link on the team by far. They did, however, play better than normal (i.e. tallest midget).

Did he seem to be in the game a lot more than normal last night? If so, I wonder if he's finally out of coaches dog house.

    Bye Bye Favre

You know what bugs me on that play? It was an INCREDIBLY quick whistle just to save Farv. And it should have been a fumble!! The injury is well worth it, however.
  18. He said concentrate on the positives.
  19. I remember this play so well. It was awesome.
