  1. UNLESS he wins a Super Bowl, it will do nothing more than remind me of the time Jauron got an extension because the team won in spite of coaching.
  2. I honestly think DJ Moore needs to see more playing time. The kid has the "it" factor. And he's pretty fast.
  3. Get over what? Please don't project on me since you don't know me. I've been INCREDIBLY optimistic in the past. On more occasions than I can remember. But not with this coaching staff. Preseason I thought that perhaps there was promise, but I really don't think they're a dangerous team. They're one of the worst teams in the NFL with a winning record. This will be just like the year that the Bears won in spite of their coaching, and then got absolutely butchered in the playoffs.
  4. -What were the scores when the Bears "kicked the shit out of the Cowboys" and "dominated" the Lions in the second half? -Word it however you want, but the Buffalo Bills have the worst record in the league. -I agree that Peppers was a monster and led to a lot of the penalties, but it took every single one of them for the Bears to win. -Like I said, the Panthers were one of the two games that the Bears were pretty much in control of the entire game (even though is not what I would have expected).
  5. I'm hesitant to heap praise on the Bears' coaching staff. I think a good portion of it all has been luck, smoke, and mirrors. WK1 - Got lucky with a ridiculous rule. The coaching decision to single cover Megatron was idiotic. WK2 - Barely beat a putrid Dallas team. WK3 - The Packers commit a record number of penalties, and the Bears squeak by. Also, keep in mind that a major turnover by the Bears was nullified by one of those Packer penalties. WK4 - Absolutely got butchered by the Giants. WK5 - Unimpressive win against a horrible team in the Panthers. I was at that game, and it never felt dominant. WK6 - Six sacks, nine QB hits, Bears go 0-12 on third down. Atrocious game against a not-so-good Seattle team. WK7 - Very bad performance against a team that just about gave up 70 last night. WK9 - A 3 point win against Buffalo, a team with no wins. A bad team with no wins. Not a very great showing. WK10 - The Bears best performance of the year, but a good deal of that had to do with Farv playing poorly and the Bears getting a few fortunate turnovers. I guess the point is, there hasn't been a single impressive performance. Not one dominant win. It's a bunch of good breaks. The offensive decisions still need to be better. The defense needs to generate SOME pressure. The safeties need to defend the long ball. The WRs need to learn and complete their routes. Cutler needs to protect the ball better. And, of course, the OL needs to do something that would lead someone to believe they belong on an NFL field. This team could easily be 2-7, with the only sure fire wins being the one against Carolina and Week 10's win against Minnesota. I'm not quite ready to pat the coaches on the back for that kind of performance.
  6. I can almost guarantee that Tyler Thigpen will produce a good game against the Bears...because that's what the Bears' defense typically allows. He'll throw a ton of short passes for nearly 300 yards, and he'll have one or two INTs.
  7. You've GOT TO BE SHITTING ME. There is no way in hell Omiyale is 2nd best, unless you're talking about something other than being an OLineman. Could be possible that in those last two games, the ones you have referenced, that Cutler has been scrambling a LOT more then before? I'd say that has a LOT to do with it, because it's been pretty obvious that he's scrambled more, and ran more. But, you are right, something is different. I don't know what it is exactly. The optimistic side of me wants to say that the Bears OL is getting better. The pessimistic side of me believes that the team has just decided to completely ignore run blocking.

Yes. I'm doing it on purpose. He says Farv, I spell Farv. It's just another one of the ironies of Farv in the NFL.

The Bears win by 14 points, and probably could have won by 10 more, but what do we hear after the game? 1. What's wrong with Farv 2. Will Farv return 3. Why the locker room isn't the same as last year On top of that, we see two highlights: 1. Farv's TD to Harvin 2. Farv's INT to Briggs I hate how it seems that the Bears never get showcase time on the highlight shows.
  10. Until they pass block AND run block, nobody should be fooled into thinking these guys have improved. It's much more likely that the other team had an off day. Too many stupid penalties. Absolutely zero chance for a running game (until a few late gimme runs in mop-up time). Several collapsed pockets that Cutler had to scramble/run out of. I'd hardly call that a line that is "starting to gel."
  11. 27-13...and it wasn't that close. Suppose Gould makes the one he missed, the Bears get a TD one time instead of a FG, and Cutler doesn't throw the pick on 3rd down. It could have easily been 37-13.
  12. Who else agrees that Farv should stick to rotary phones from this day forward?
  13. I honestly don't think any starting RB in the league would look good behind the Bears OL. Maaaaaaaybe someone incredibly quick and shifty, with lightning fast speed, like Chris Johnson. Otherwise, it's hard to run when your first option is ALWAYS a closed hole and you're staring at your OG's backside as he gets pushed three yards backwards. And as I type this, Forte gets the handoff and instantly has to jump over a player who has busted through the OL.
  14. BWAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAA....Farve. But nooooooooooooooo, nobody will mention Farv's bad decisions. They'll just continue to fellate him on air.
  15. It's like you're purposely ignoring my point. IT IS NOT ON THE OLINE. That is ON CUTLER. But it's understandable for a guy with his talent, someone getting paid what he is, someone who is annointed the savior of the offense, to try to do too much when the rest of the offense, and the OL in particular, sucks major ass.
  16. Which is why I ripped him. But when it is readily apparent that the OL can't run block, can't pass block (with the exception of most of this game), I can see why he'd press and try to do more than he can.
  17. I don't know that he has a choice. There aren't holes.
  18. Horrible throw. Makes me so angry because I feel like Cutler is just pressing. He thinks he has to do everything. And it's a stupid throw. But he think he just wants the Bears offense to do something good...which won't happen until the OL can put together a decent game.
  19. That was a such an IGNORANT penalty by Kreutz. There was no need.
  20. Hester...I'm so happy to have him back. If we take one great thing from this season, it's that Hester still has the return ability. Largely because of him, the Bears have started 5 of the last 6 drives in the opponent's territory. Awesome. That is a HUGE weapon.
  21. Tough to say who's fault it was, however. Unfortunately, the OL (which has been better than their normal atrociousness) didn't give Cutler enough time to throw, and the rushed pass will always give us doubts.
  22. The last throw by Cutler...pretty clear that Manumaleuna ran the wrong route. Two TEs in almost the same area.
  23. My god...I HATE this offensive line. We get a huge return from Hester, and these bums can't block anyone. 3rd and long, like usual.
