  1. Miller is one of those guys who knows how to get open. Every break and cut for every route looks the same, so he separates from DBs.
  2. I don’t think the Bears should mortgage more picks to do it, but if hey do I only want to see Lorenzo Carter or Arden Key.
  3. 1. Anthony Miller, WR, Memphis Grade: A+ The Bears land one of the best receivers in this draft. I think this kid will be a game-changer for Mitchell Trubisky. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2018-nfl-draft-round-2-draft-order-grades-for-picks-33-through-64-live-updates-on-day-2/
  4. True. I was hoping Grasu would pan out and allow Whitehair to move left, but it didn’t work out. I’d still like an OT.
  5. I’m not a fan of Pace trading up every year. If he were going to trade up, I would have hoped it was for edge rusher.
  6. They traded a fourth this year and a second next year?
  7. How do you know this so quickly?! It’s not even on nfl.com.
  8. The knock on Daniels is that he has difficulty with bigger, stronger guys.
  9. Daniels looks like a good zone blocking guy. He allows an auto-upgrade with Whitehair, and I love me some OL picks...but I still think better players were available. And a trade down made a ton of sense.
  10. For the record, Q. Nelson was my guy. I would have been outraged if the Bears picked a QB or RB.
  11. I REALLY, REALLY want Lorenzo Carter in the 2nd round now. The familiarity would make them immediately amplified.
  12. If that happened, and the Bears passed, it was a mistake. #12 isn't that far down, and the two 2nd rounders (on top of the Bears' 2nd rounder) would have been massive. But if the same trade was there, then one spot earlier makes sense for the other team (obviously).
  13. Prediction: Roquan will be in the top ten in tackles in the NFL next year.
  14. Agree. That would have been awesome. I wonder why Buffalo leap-frogged the Bears when there was no way the Bears would draft QB?
  15. If I had to pick an ILB, it would be Roquan. He's a monster. I just didn't want an ILB is all.
  16. I still hope the Bears trade down. I don't want any of the LBs at this spot.

    LB Stats Poll

I didn't cheat, and I picked Roquan. ILBs in a 3-4 need to be tackling machines. Period.

    LB Stats Poll

I clicked before rereading, and realized you put "LB" rather than "OLB" or "ILB." The distinction is drastically important.
  19. I'd love that draft. Five straight homers as far as I'm concerned.
  20. The trade up for Floyd came as a bit of a shock to most, but there were multiple people on the board who called that pick as being highly likely.
  21. Nope. Because I haven't been able to figure out any Bears GM in my entire life. But you're right...I don't really value ILB in a 3-4 defense much. You need hole pluggers. Sure tacklers. The superstars need to be at OLB.
  22. Unless Chubb or Nelson are there, the Bears should trade back. This trade with NE is perfect.. I'd hate Roquan Smith or Edmunds at #8 because the Bears don't really need an ILB. Kwiatkoski an Trevathan are fine, and far better at their respective positions than several others on the team. And neither can play 3-4OLB, no matter what anyone says. The only other player who makes sense at #8, and fits team need without unnecessary redundancy, is Fitzpatrick. Prince is a rental at best, and the spot will open up.
  23. I don't see the need to double up on OLB either. I think the Bears should trade down to acquire a 3rd, and hope that either Arden Key or Lorenzo Carter is there.
  24. 1000% agree with this. In fact, it's how I wish the Bears would move forward in the draft. Unless there is a can't miss guy available, trade down and grab multiple guys. I'd love to see a way for the Bears to trade down twice (hence my trade down clown thread).
  25. At this point the roster is nearly complete, and the Bears need to focus on what positions will need updating, and which will benefit the team the most. I think we might be able to glean some info from the depth chart: Offense LWR 12 Robinson, Allen U/Jax 18 Ayers, Demarcus SF17 80 McKay, Mekale SF17 00 Fowler, Bennie R/Den RWR 11 White, Kevin 15/1 15 Bellamy, Josh W/Was 19 Gentry, Tanner CF17 SWR 18 Gabriel, Taylor U/Atl LT 72 Leno Jr., Charles 14/7 LG 79 Sowell, Bradley U/Sea 67 Morgan, Jordan 17/5 63 Lee, Cameron CF17 62 Averill, Travis SF17 C 65 Whitehair, Cody 16/2 55 Grasu, Hroniss 15/3 64 Kush, Eric W/LAR RG 75 Long, Kyle 13/1 00 Watford, Earl U/Arz 60 Greene, Brandon CF17 RT 70 Massie, Bobby U/Arz TE 88 Sims, Dion U/Mia 87 Shaheen, Adam 17/2 85 Brown, Daniel W/Bal TE 80 Burton, Trey U/Phi 84 Braunecker, Ben CF16 82 Thompson, Colin SF17 QB 10 Trubisky, Mitch 17/1 4 DANIEL, CHASE U/NO 9 Bray, Tyler U/KC RB 24 Howard, Jordan 16/5 29 Cohen, Tarik 17/4 33 Mizzell, Taquan W/Bal 30 Cunningham, Benny U/LAR FB 46 Burton, Mike W/Det Long story short, the WRs are partial need, and the OL is a pressing need. Leno (LT) has no real backup, Massie (RT) has no real back up, and neither of those guys is better than average. I'd say they're both below average. And the LG position is a poo-poo platter, with no real winners in there. Based solely on the offensive depth chart, and the fact there are only 7 picks, I could see 2 or 3 OLinemen selected, and WR getting ignored.
