  1. Linderbaum is off the table. To the Raiders. 3 years - 81 mil https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/48154652/sources-raiders-tyler-linderbaum-reach-3-year-81m-deal
  2. Sad to see Moore go, but I think this works out well for all parties involved. Bills get a solid WR to go with Josh Allen, DJ gets a fresh start on an established playoff team. Bears get good compensation and some cap room. I don't see a loser in this trade.
  3. At the end of the day what matters most to me isn't so much the location as is the quality of the site, stadium itself (game day experience), access, parking etc. Would the idea of the Chicago Bears stadium not being right in Chicago? Sure, but it's not like either Arlington or Hammond are that far away from the current location. As a resident of northern Indiana a trip to a Bears game involves taking the South Shore so I can't speak for parking as the train stops within walking distance of Soldier Field. However and whererever the new stadium is built it needs to be a first class facility that can host a Super Bowl, and a gameday experience that is modern but pays homage to the Bears tradition with some archetectural nods to Soldier Field.
  4. The Bears are playing with house money at this point so I'm at peace with whatever the outcome. I think the only way I would be upset is if they came out and embarassed themselves (ie losing and looking bad doing it). I don't see this Bears team coming out and leaving without a fight. The Green Bay game was more personal being who it was, what beating them meant to the team, organization, and the fan base on top of the historic signifigance of that game. I never like losing but if we come out and give it our best and come up short I will still feel good about the teams future and will be proud of what they have accomplished this season. This one is a hard one to predict. There are factors coming in that could give us an edge. Stafford's finger, warm weather team playing in frigid conditions, in a hostile environment (crowd will be electric). The Rams are a team that seemed to have peaked 6 weeks ago and have looked beatable since. On their side they have two dynamic WR's that can give our secondary fits, two solid RB's, and when Stafford is on that offense can be lethal. Also, will there be a letdown on the Bears side. Was last weekl this team's Super Bowl? I don't see the Bears letting down, they have taken a very business like approach following the Packer game. I could even see them playing a little more settled and focused out of the gate. Last week being GB could have had the guys too amped. The key will be to have a quicker start. We don't want to dig a hole vs the Rams. Keep the game close and give ourselves a shot to pull it out. We'll have to keep pace. I believe we can.
  5. Wondering, does anyone know where to get the cheese grater foam hats? Years back I ordered one from somewhere and it turned out to be a scam so I'm a little hesitant. I do want one but need to know if there's a legit place to order one from.
  6. Also consider the Rams are a dome team that would have to travel here and play in the elements. Philly is used to cold weather. that said I’m still blown away that we went from last year’s train wreck to hosting two home playoff games and possibly more. One offseason. It’s night and day.
  7. My hope is that the Bears take a serious look in the mirror at themselves. Both offense and defense deserve an equal share of the blame. Offense can't go 3 scoreless quarters and then expect to filp the switch in the 4th and come from behind that's not a sustainable formula. The defense can't allow oposing offenses to do what ever they want all game. The Bears came out flat. I mentioned to my wife that Detroit looks like the team fighting for a 2 seed, and we looked like the team that had been eliminated and had nothing to play for. I know Detroit had extra motivation to basically treat this like their Super Bowl to stick it to Ben Johnson. The players should have anticipated their intensity and matched it. Did the players think we'd just show up and win? GB will also come in and lay it on the line. Will we come in and match or exceed their intensity? We have to start fast, and controll the clock. We do not want to be chasing points in this one. We can't fix the personel on our D this season but we can improve on the "want to" and "effort". I saw a lot of laziness on D vs Detroit and SF. Can't do the big things right if you can't even do the little things right.
  8. Finally something going then we throw a pick. Looking like 3rd seed and a road game. Vs Philly
  9. Gutless first half. The lions look like the playoff team and we look like the team that’s been eliminated
  10. Seattle won amazingly enough 13-3. A 49ers team that put up 42 on us last week managed just a FG today. So they drop to the 5 seed. With a win tomorrow we clinch the 2 seed and would have guaranteed home field through the divisional round. If Seattle gets upset then we would host the NFCC vs either SF or Carolina. Who’d have thought we would be in this position! first things first we need to take care of business and win tomorrow. The Lions would like nothing more to play spoiler. We need to win to clinch the 2 seed and go into the playoffs with momentum.
  11. As gut wrenching as that game ending was. I’m proud of this team. We know SF can put up a lot of points. The Bears offend stood toe to toe with them all game long. This by far the best the offense has looked this year from start to finish. Defense however, good Lord. Ever hear of this thing called tackling? We pretty much let SF do whatever they wanted. CMC, Purdy, and their backup TE. We’re having their way. All in all this game proved we belong. Perhaps a loss here serves us better than a win. We have to play better complimentary football. The way the defense played gave the offense little to no room for error. That said I’m proud of how hard this Bears team fights and the resilience they have shown. win next week and we host at least 1 playoff game. This has been a hell of a job laying the ground work for sustained success.
  12. That iffy at best penalty at the end of the half that took an interception off the board and essentially handing SF a TD. Was huge in a game like this. Instead of being dow by 4 at the end we’d have been up by 3 looking to salt away the clock.
  13. With the Seahawks win today I think they have clinched the 1 seed. I believe unless we lose out and Philly wins out we’re pretty much locked into the 2 seed.
