They don't even deserve the C on their helmets or the GHS on their sleeves. They are an absolute embarrassment to this once proud franchise. This team has taken a huge steaming crap on the Bears history and its fans. Gents we deserve better than this.

and the classless packers continuing to throw for the end zone I'm friggin embarrassed for the city of Chicago and us Bears fans. Most points given up in a half for any Bears team ever. We are stacking up the negative records this year. It makes it sting more that the packers are laughing it up and purposely running up the score. They have no class, or sportsmanship I hope their friggin stadium burns. Everyone on this team barring a few players should be fired right here and now. forfit the rest of the season… no one's gonna watch this team anymore anyway.

Close matchup this week I'm the #2 team and I'm facing the #1 team. 10 team PPR I like my lineup except I'm struggling over the WR 2 spot. I have too many good backs to sit one to play both Becham and Smith. Smith's really dropped in production lately but has a good matchup, Beckham has benefited from the Cruz injury but has a tough matchup. A third option I could drop maybe McKinnon and pick up Crabtree or Devante Adams. Ideally with RB's coming out my arse I'm trying to trade some of that depth for a solid WR2. and possibly another TE since Olson's kinda struggled lately too. My starters are: QB Matt Stafford vs Fish RB1 Matt Forte @ Packers RB2 Andre Ellington vs Rams WR1 Jordy Nelson vs Bears WR2 O. Beckham @ seachickens Flex LeSean McCoy vs Panthers TE Greg Olsen @ Eagles K Chandler Catanzaro vs Rams D/ST Cards vs Rams Bench Justin Forsett vs titans Steve Smith vs Titans Tom Brady Bye Ryan Matthews Bye Jerick McKinnon Bye DeAndre Hopkins Bye

Very stupid. He clearly didn't learn from the Lions player who did the same thing. When you are getting your arse handed to you on a silver plate, and you finally make a play you have no right to celebrate. No one on this team earned the right to celebrate anything today.
-
and each other there is no consistency, no heart, no effort, not pride. This is the most gutless "effort" i've watched in a long time. Does anyone there still care????
-
then the "fumble" where he was in the grasp and they don't blow the whistle should have been in the grass but who the hell cares this team doesn't qualify for the term suck.
-
might take a nap instead of watch the second half. What a gutless effort today. So much talent and we play like shit. As I type that nearly another pick. 4th down again…. punt coming up.. if we go in to halftime down 21 - 0 you can pretty much stick a fork in this turd of a team. Sick of watching this crap. same crap different year.
-
not lookin good Gents, already down 7 and outside the first drive we have not been able to stop their offense. One or two good plays here and there then we give up an easy chunk of yards for an easy first down. On offense I'm not sure what the plan is. And that "fumble" backwards pass wasn't backwards it was an incomplete pass not a fumble. Gotta wake up here and start playing ball.
-
I had the chargers D too an the Giant's kicker who got me 0 lol But the rest of my team went into beast mode. My once struggling team is now killing it after some clever and savvy trades. I also picked up Brady Sunday morning to sub in for Stafford. Backfield of Forte, McCoy, and Ellington, with Jordy Nelson, and Steve Smith at WR and Gregg Olsen at TE.
-
The Fumbles probably made the gag reel
-
Tends to happen with age, mind is willing but the body starts to fail you. Just ask Brian. If he suits up maybe we can put him back on the trainers table.

Created a MEME of this this morning lol

Truly a good start, and here's hoping he turns out to be a great one! The timing couldn't be better as sadly we've lost Tillman for the season. Possibly the last time Tillman suits up for the Bears. We could sure use a guy to step up take over. Like Tillman Kyle also seems to be a stand up guy on and off the field. He's going to have to grwo up fast, but I really like that he plays with no fear and with good instinct.
-
what a gutsy comeback. We had everything going against us. Never gave up. Man Fuller could turn out be a great pick
-
too bad it took the bears so long to wake up and play ball Got a bad feeling they are going to drive right down and score
-
sick of watching teams pick us apart easily then watch our guys struggle to get open
-
Sure dues feel like 40-7 or worse. We are getting no movement on the offensive line no holes, Forte's getting hit as soon as he gets the ball. Passing has been eratic. Jay's not on target. What also sucks for us is earlier the Packers get a break via a bad call that helped them win today. A winning TD called off because of a phantom Timeout that no player or the head coach called.
-
lots of key botched calls, the running into the punter not called on the blocked punt. the no call on the delay of game that instead goes for a TD the Bennet call the nit picky calls being called on the bears vs letting the 9ers get away with about anything. Not saying the refs are the reason we're losing. We are playing like crap, we don't need the added dissadvantage of the refs favoring the 9ers.
-
the officiating is as atrocious as the Bears. The 49ers don't need the zebra's help. That was a hell of a catch by Marshall. I feel like that guy should have been ejected for launching himself into Jay's ribs. that was 100% dirty

I think we have to be realistic here, last season we were atrocious. Yes we had tons of injuries and that played a big part but the fact is this defense's core got old, the guy's from the core of the Dominant D we enjoyed for many years is at it's end. Urlacher's retirement, Tillman likely on his last year here and is close to retirement himself. Briggs is getting old. It happens, we've tried to milk all the remaining potential out of the older core guys and now the D is in a rebuilding stage. And rebuilding a D can't realistically be expected to be completed in one season or one offseason. We made a lot of moves in the offseason and in the draft to shore up the D starting at the line. It is going to take time to find the right pieces to the puzzle. I don't think we can really know how the D will look when the games start counting. I for one will try to suspend judgement till I we see the season progress. I think we have to put the dominant D of the recent past, the window of taking advantage of that D is pretty much closed. It's time to move on and build a new defense with a younger core. It may take a couple seasons to for the D to return to a level we have become accustomed to. This year I don't expect great, I don't even expect above average, I want to see an average D. If we're 4 or 5 games into the season and look no better than last year then I feel ike that is on Tucker, because there is too much talent on the Defense individually to be as bad as we were last year.

I'm high on Ellington too, so I like my 1 and 2 RB but behind them I'm weak. Hindsight's 20/20, I perhaps should have gotten one more RB higher up rather than a WR. my first 5 picks netted me Forte, Ellington, Stafford, Nelson, and V. Jax. I didn't take another RB till round 10 which was a mistake as there were better options on the board than F. Jax that I passed on. I will propose the Tate for Colston trade after week one's matchup, I'm playing the guy who has Tate and he's very weak at WR, no sense in helping him out against me lol. if Colston has a strong game against Atlanta that only helps me. And I do agree with Adam on the Colston for Tate, I have seen the QB/WR tandom work and do well but I've also seen it fail you have about a 50/50 shot of it actually paying off while I do feel it could in this case since Megatron will draw a lot of attention giving Tate favorable coverage. Stafford like Cutler tends to look for his guy, in Megatron like Jay seems to look for Marshall. Perhaps I can use Colston to get Ben Tate, and use another player to trade for Golden. I would probably use Golden as an RB3 in a matchup very favorable for Detroit.

10 team PPR draft We start 1QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 Def/st, 1 K QB - Stafford RB - Forte, Ellington, Fred Jackson, Terrance West WR - Jordy Nelson, Vincent Jackson, Marques Colston, Torrey Smith, Wes Welker, DeAndre Hopkins TE - Jordan Reed, Zach Ertz D/ST - Cardinals K - Mason Crosby I like my team overall I do feel my weakest spot is RB but it seemed like when I would pick there was better value at WR and I'd already gotten my top two RB's an like the upside potential of West and Fred Jackson just keeps outperforming Spiller. Som trades I'm considering: Colston for Ben Tate would give me both backs should Tate stay healthy. Colston for Golden Tate, I like the idea of having Tate who has lots of upside on the same team as my QB Also on a side note forgive me if this shouldn't be posted in the main board, but the other boards have virtually no activity. I've wondered if we shouldn't have a separate board on this forum strictly to talk fantasy football. start sit talk, trade talk, etc.

For me the top of my list is what Mad pointed about inconsistent. Whether its suspension, or fines. When it comes to fines; we've all seen plays that later earned a fine but when there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the amounts (ie. an accidental helmet to helmet or play where the defender couldn't have avoided has seen fines bigger than plays where the player clearly took a shot intentionally, etc.) There's simply no consistency on what action constitutes what dollar amount fine. Almost like he approaches each situation as if it's the first one he's seen and forgets the context or any other infractions similar or different. Also think they are too quick to slap a fine. When you watch a replay in super slow motion from your easy chair, you lose perspective of the context of that play or the live speed of it. I don't feel he takes into account the entire play, the actions of both the "offender" and the "victim." IMHO a defender who's momentum is carrying him towards the ball carrier and his intent is to hit/tackle said ball carrier as per his JOB and the ballcarrier changes his body position and the defenders helmet then strikes where he didn't intend to. It's a a penalty and a fine. I'd be like saying every time someone is rear ended it's 100% the fault of the person who struck the driver in front of them. Even if the driver in front of them made an action to cause that accident. Basically when you are inconsistent, your players have a vague idea of what's acceptable and what's not despite what they "officially" hear. Your accidental play in essence may draw a higher fine than an out right dirty one. Also what Mad said about being a hard ass on some but not others. There are players who are repeat offenders who over and over again make dirty plays, dirty hits, cheap shots, and some like Merriwether after the skins game last year who was originally to be suspended 4 games, joked about this kind of thing and his suspension is reduced to two games. Suh.... nuf said. There are players that the league has to know are dirty, but because they bring money to the game let them continue to play. While other less marquee players do not get that benefit and are made examples of. The league sells and markets itself on big hits on Sunday but fines those players for the hits the following week. The tinkering with rules is something that is not Goodell's alone but the competition committee's but he does have a big influence on the areas of rule changes, points of emphasis, etc. During his time here Defenders have become more and more handcuffed on what they can do or can't do. They are over-penalized for actions they sometimes have no control over. Making a dumb play and drawing a PF is on the player and is deserved but when physics causes a play that the defender couldn't anticipate in real game speed. I'd be like saying every time someone is rear ended it's 100% the fault of the person who struck the driver in front of them. Even if the driver in front of them made an action to cause that accident. The rule changes, and points of emphasis overwhelmingly have and continue to benefit the offense because points = ratings. Look at all the laundry this preseason most games I've watched are hard to watch, because there seems to be a flag thrown on every play, in some cases resulting in teams offenses have 2, 3 and even 4 shots when they should have been punting or kicking a fg on some very ticky tack calls. I think if they are going to call some of these things tighter like illegal contact, defensive holding, etc then perhaps they should also review the results of those penalties and asses which ones should in fact reward a fresh set of downs. If this preseason is any indication on how the regular season will be this game may become unwatchable. It's also inconsistent from team to team, player to player, and even within a game. Personally if there is going to be more laundry on the field then perhaps looking to allowing some drive/game changing penalties to be challengeable. IMHO these miss calls on key plays that change momentum, or kill it are every bit as impactful to the game's outcome as watching super slow motion to see if a receiver's foot touched the out of bounds line on a TD catch, or when the ball came out on a fumble, etc. Overall I'd say since he took over the quality of the game has lessened and certain aspects of the game have become an out right joke. It's clear his goal is higher scoring games because he sees that as making the game more appealing to new audiences. Those of us who are old school and appreciate the drama, and excitement of a hard fought lower scoring game. What he's turning this game into is a more like arena league. I for one can only stomach so much of that.

The table is certainly set for us to take the next steps towards not only getting back to the big game but winning it as well. The offense returns basically the same group from last year plus if there's any substance to the talk of Wilson turning heads. Last year we had two monsters on the outside in Jeffery, and Marshall, along with Bennet as a big target, now you add a 4th big target, we could be downright lethal in the red zone. Who do you focus on? We upgraded our backup RB situation. Carey may be a rookie but he has a lot better potential than Michael Bush. I can see our offense forcing defenses to play a lot of Nickel to try and cover our WR's but then you risk leaving a softer box for Forte to burn you. Our offense could be top 5 this year and create nightmares for DC's picking their poison. Offense was our strength last year and should continue and only get better. Defense is what cost us the NFC north last year or any chance to do anything. This offseason we added run stuffers to a D that was historically bad at stopping the run. This offseason we added pass rushers to a D that couldn't get to the QB This offseason we added depth and some potential upgrades to the secondary to a D that couldn't clean up the mistakes in front of them on the D line We do have a new system which may be a hybrid of concepts we've run before but sounds like the goal is to throw different looks at oppsoing offenses. Offensively I'm excited to see them take the next step. Defensively I can see us getting off to a slow start as the players gels more and gets more proficient in running the new system. The way I look at it is If the offense can carry us early, and the D doesn't cost us games early, by the time we get to the end of the season the D could be getting strong and good at the right time. We've seen this happen with other teams in the past. I look for the Bears to be better top to bottom at the end of the season then they will at the start. If we can survive the growing pains and stay with the competition early on I like our chances. As with any team injuries can potentially ruin good plans, so staying healthy is important. I see us going somewhere between 10-6 and 12-4, NFC North title, and a shot at going to the Super Bowl. Once you make it to the playoffs anything can happen good or bad.

How about 2-3 Pro Bowl WR's, a Pro Bowl RB, and a Pro Bowl QB, that would be freaking sweet. Yes that is the kool-aid talking but really not that far out there as a potential reality. Continuity in a grown up offense is huge. Returning the same group for this offense to take the next step.
