Two of the NFL's best teams at blowing games are on display at Ford field today.

and that drive went on to result in a TD. The pattern of self destruction continues. We started this self destruction at the end of the first half. With a little over 2 min to go coming off a turnover putting us in FG range. Detroit had all their timeouts and we throw the ball several times, milk nearly no time off the clock settle for the FG and leave Detroit with all their time outs and plenty of time on the clock. They drive down and score. We come out in the second half and do nothing on offense or defense and we've now let them go on a 21-6 run and now only trail by 2. With less than a min to go in the first half we were up 20-3. We deserve to lose, and we dont' deserve to be in the playoffs, and Lovie doesn't deserve to coach another down of Bears football.

If we were to bring in a new Coach, he would want his guys not be saddled with someone else's.

looks like we're picking up where we left off last week. D not waiting till the end to suck they are getting an early start. Bears are completely flat. We don't look ready to play at all

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100000010...s-loss-to-bears I hope he does that was a dirty and unnecessary hit. Blind side hit leading with his helmet. 1 more reason to hate Jared Allen.

Sadly I agree, as much excitement of potential heading into this season, I feel deflated about the Bears. It's clear it makes no difference who's back there at QB, you could have Joe Montana, Brett Favre (in his prime), etc. and they would all get killed. Oline doesn't even look like it gives a shit. We have to have the worst O-Line in the league. Our D looks ill prepared, and just not sharp at all out there. Is it possible they are getting tired of having to keep the bears in games. Were it not for the D we could theoretically been in a whole by halftime in most of our games before the offense gets anything going. The defense is the main reason our record is what it is, and they are not having a good game while the offense is giving them nothing well, one TD. Bears getting embarrassed on Monday night another embarrassing "effort" in prime time. Is there any wonder we don't get respect?

PPR league. We start 1 QB, 2 WR, 2 RB, 1 Flex (WR/RB), 1 TE, 1 K, 1 Def. I may be able to limp into the playoffs in my league but I'm totally not confident in my team anymore. With two weeks to go before the playoffs, and the trade deadline looming Nov 23rd. My roster as it stands now QB - Aaron Rodgers RBs - Shonn Greene, Stevan Ridley, Donald Brown, Jacquizz Rodgers WR - Jordy Nelson, Titus Young, Victor Cruz, Malcom Floyd, James Jones TE - Brandon Pettigrew K - Matt Bryant Def - Falcons I'm at the point now that I'm trying to figure out who on my team is worth keeping, who I should drop, and who I should trade away. If this were your roster what would you do? After losing my matchup today I can't afford to lose anymore. Outside of A. Rodgers, Ridley, (maybe F. Jackson), Nelson or Jones, Matt Bryant, and Victor Cruz I'm not impressed with them. It's tough setting my lineup praying they produce. It's a 12 team league so the FA pool is fairly thin. Feel free to throw out some names of guys that you think I should either trade for (likely on a roster) or pick up (possibly on the FA pool).
-
That certainly doesn't hurt their causes lol Throw Rodgers in there too.

We've seen this movie before... in fact I think we've played the hell out of that movie haven't we.

We got a taste of our own medicine tonight. Our offense against a legit D and we show how bad we are. Did Tice even realize what the weather was going to be like? Say what you want about the officiating it sucked in general but I would say sucked for both teams. My hats off to the Bears D as they fought all game kept us in this game... We lost 13-6.... We couldn't manage a single friggin TD. What the hell was this chickencrap offense at the and of the game. D got us the ball back almost 3 min left, 1 timeout plus the 2 min warning and you need a TD. We throw a check down on first down that gains maybe one yard, then throw another short pass and get a holding call making it 2nd and long, we then throw another short pass, making it 3rd and long, following that we throw another check down give us 4th & 9, which we then throw another short pass.. Did anyone in that offensive huddle, and Tice realize the situation. If your going to go down in that situation go down fighting it's like we weren't even trying. We were plagued by dropped balls, and turnovers, and we looked like the team not prepared for the field conditions. The message is clear, if we are going to go anywhere it will be the Defense carrying this team the Offense can't be relied on. 1 TD drive and a made FG and we would have won this game. The texans had one good drive for a TD the FG drive started on our side of the 50 and only needed to drive a short distance to kick it. Other than that the Bears defense held the Texans offense down, and gave us many oportunities on offense to put points on the board. For the most part we had great starting field position but couldn't get out of our own way. Costly turnovers early, be it the Bush fumble, the picks. One thing to think about and something I'd like to know is as often as Cutler gets hit wouldn't you think you'd have Campbell more prepared to come in? He looked afraid to throw the ball. For most of the second half we'd run on first down for no gain, throw a short ball on 2nd down, and then either throw short of the sticks on 3rd and long or have a drop (I'm talking about you Kellen "Stone Hands" Davis) Wake me up when we have a real TE. Sad thing thus far we've struggled offensively early, but against the lesser opponents been able to catch a break (usually by a big Defensive play or two) and finally get the offense rolling. Against the better teams in this league particularly the better defenses in the league this offense can't get any traction. Now we go into SF next Monday night (yay) where we'll probably be without cutler, will likely again get our arses handed to us. Was nice being 7-1, but that fall back to reality can hurt like hell. Unless the Bears can muster some semblance of an NFL caliber offense forget even thinking Superbowl.

Well you can work with a stool of turds all you want but at the end of the day all you have is a stool of turds.... At some point you have to give Tice better talent to work with. We have a group of guys who most of which would be backups elsewhere yet we're trying to make them starters because it's the best of limited options. The real problem is we have ignored the offensive line and keep saying "we like our guys" We spent a first round pick last draft on a head scratcher of a pick when there were quality OL guys on the board.. Not making excuses for Tice as he's made his share of mistakes and hasn't seemed to live up to the OL expert billing. But you have to wonder if he had more talent to work with would we be having this conversation?
-
We sure seem to like us some Abilene Christian players lol
-
Totally agree, we deserved to get beat, we snatched a victory from the jaws of defeat against a friggin 1-4 team. That doesn't make us special... it make us lucky. We got lucky today. Smith did not have the Bears ready to play today, we came out flat, and uninspired. You cannot play like this against a good team, late game rallies work against teams like Carolina.
-
12 min to go. down 12, even Gould can't score... I'm calling it. time of death 12:09 4th quarter Way to have this team prepared and ready to play Lovie.
-
we can't tackle, can't defend, can't throw, can't catch, can't take advantage of great field position we are getting our ass handed to us and we deserve it... The Bears did not come to play at all today... very disappointing. Announcers wondering why Carolina continues to kick like they have why not we haven't shown any ability to make them pay.
-
We had the best return specialist in the history of the game and we have essentially ruined him.. Well done Bears
-
That was a total crap call there was no helmet to helmet. If anything Lefell ran into Conte... what the hell is Conte supposed to do stop momentum in mid air and somehow avoid contact??? Bears are playing like crap but there is a lot holding not getting called. The zebras giving the panthers all the breaks. We're lucky we're still in this game, cutler with two fumbles and a pick.... we've had some sucess running the ball but we keep throwing. We don't deserve to win today unless we can turn it around we'll lose a game we shouldn't have lost.
-
The announcers correct, Jay needs to have that clock in his head, when that play broke down he either needed to just eat it, take the sack and live to fight another down, or throw the ball away and come back on the next down. He has shown a tendency to hold onto the ball.
-
can't dissagree one bit. Some good offensive linemen on the board and we take Shea to be a situational passrushing DE who's undersized for DE. He's a LB playing DE part time. Wasted pick. The OL was atrocious and that has lead to Cutler never being able to feel comfortable. But why did we not go to max protect? We made no adjustments at all to protect Jay. Supposedly that is priority one.... could have fooled me. Insult to injury... did they call a single penalty on GB? Jay took several late hits, our players were getting hit out of bounds like that one on Hester, no flag, the play where I think it was Bush was tackled by the head nearly taking his helmet off and no call. But every friggin close call goes GB's way the 12 man call when the guy was off the field when the ball was snapped. The men in stripes didn't help but didn't cost the bears a win. Chicago beat itself. As it's been said before this team will go as far as the offensive line will take it and if tonight is an indication the Line will take us down into the sewer with them. A set of turnstiles would hold up better than our offensive line, at least they'd provide some resistance....
-
good thing we addressed the offensive line in the offseason... oh that's right we were happy with who we have.
-
he's playing downright Grossmanesque
-
well, game over gents. What a pitiful display tonight
-
ugly ugly ugly first half. No blocking at all on the line giving cutler no time. We are fortunate to only be down by 13. We need to go to max protect in the second half till we get a handle on protection and blocking Cutler will be eaten alive. There have been plays left out on the field. that fake FG I could have score on that it was embarrassing. If Briggs makes that pick (should have) we go into half time down by 10. The D has only given up 6 points I think they are doing all they can to keep the packers offense in check but our own offense needs to get it's head out of it's arse and get it in gear.
-
About had a heart attack I've got Nelson on my fantasy team.... I already lost Fred Jackson lol don't scare me like that. I will admit it feels dirty to have packers on my fantasy team...
-
A lot of yards were racked up by the Colts when we went into prevent at the end of the first half and when we put it in neutral in the second half. Which is why I wish we'd toss out that prevent D as all it does is let teams do whatever they want on us
