  1. yeah I though he had a hand on it but the reciever just dropped it Davis bothered him a little but the ball should have been caught.
  2. Finlly R. Davis does something positive knocking that ball down. Not sure about hte play call to go for the fake but without that breakup by Davis the had an open man. Can we take advantage of good field position now and Tie this up.
  3. well as ugly as that was, we caught a huge break on that incomplete pass. 24-17 Down 7 at the half Jets will have the ball to start the half. We need a defensive stop bad to start the second half. They have all the momentum going into half time. If we have any hope of winning this game the defense will need to set the tone with a 3 and out. Need to get after Sanchez we are making him look like Joe Montana out there. If we let them march right down and score and put is in a 14 point hole before we touch the ball in the second half it's over as they will blitz the hell out of our line.
  4. so it will likely be 28-17 at half can the Bears make adjustments in the second half?
  5. gotta tackle better than this. we are giving any completion they want and we aren't tackling.
  6. nice job Jay. we'll rip on you for the bad throws but cudos at seeing the field and running it in. Now the D needs to step up...... well we can hope can't we?
  7. Sick of the whole let them catch and then go for the tackle or strip. It's gutless.
  8. 21 un answered after we jump out to a 10 point lead. We suck
  9. bears don't get their heads out of their arses soon we are going to get beat bad.
  10. horrible punt.... way to then set them up in great position to add to the lead against our swiss cheese D
  11. Here's a hint Jay, your out of the pocket chuck it into the stands and avoid the sack Then we add a delay of game.
  12. so much for that.... jump out 10-0 and now we trail 14-10
  13. offense needs to keep going. D needs to wake up.
  14. no game thread yet, I think Flea should start it since he started last weeks game thread and we had good results.
  15. A superbowl win would be a great early birthday present as my birthday is Feb 7th.
  16. well perhaps they were all wondering... so is he going to get up or not? He was probably thinking I'm going to get up..... nope, no I'm not...... ohhhh yess I will..... no I won't.. I may as well.
  17. yep he's mediocre to average at best when healthy. This is just setting up what the excuse will be. What the media ignores there is nothing we can do about facing teams that are hurting in some way. You play the games on your schedule win enough games and you make the playoff, win all those and you are a Champion. Injuries are a part of the game. Sure we've remained healthy and other teams we've faced have had injuries to key players. You still have to play the game and take advantage of that. We've seen the Bears get beat by these kinds of teams more times that I care to admit. So I will not pay attention to the whole "they just get lucky" It actually speaks worse of your team if they can't win those games.
  18. Nice post. Took me a while to find the Merry Christmas. lol
  19. I can see it now. We win the game but hear the "the Bears get lucky again facing a team with key injury" kinda deal. IMHO Sanchez isn't that good as it is. The easy headlines for this game will be if the Jets win "Sanchez plays tough through injury and leads his team to victory." Bears win "Bears luck continues as they beat an injured Sanchez lead Jets team"
  20. Of those three I'm happiest for Urlacher. He has battled through injury the last few season including missing basically all of last year. To come back from what he's dealt with health wise to having the season he's having my hats off to him. You could make a case that he should get comeback player of the year. When he started being hampered by injuries and then the wrist last year I was wondering if he was done on the down turn of his career. But he has not only stayed healthy but has been an animal this year. Kudos to Url. Also agree Briggs deserves to go as well, he has been a major pice of the puzzle and often doesn't get the accolades his play deserves.
  21. and I saw this posted somewhere else but he has only broken the record at this point it took something like 13 seasons for Brian Mitchell to set the record Hester has done it with 2 games remaining in his 5th season. Just think if he keeps going and plays another 5 season he could set the record that will stand for a long long time. This is only his regular season punt and kick returns it doesn't include the one from the super bowl or the FG return. 14 returns for TDs in 5 seasons (two of which he was basically taken completely out of that role so practically 3 seasons worth of return duty. That's insane. Devin Hester.... You are RIDICULOUS!!!!!
  22. Man does that bring back memories..... Big Ted Washington and Keith Traylor swallowing up the offensive line and Urlacher making plays like a mad man. Loved the replay and the expressions on Traylors face as he gets down the field like "give me some oxygen please!!!" lol I remember when this play happened live and I about fell out of my chair laughing. Too bad Miller got body slammed in the divisional round of the playoffs against the Eagles that year. Can't think of the guy who made the hit though....
  23. Well there are areas of the game to pick at but several positives. 1. NFC North Champs 2. Clinched a Playoff spot 3. Hester with the Record in record time 4. Big win 40-14 a 26 point win should have been 33 point win but I'll take it. 5. We walk away healthy. 6. We may have put Favre away for good.
