Years ago some people posted links where we could watch the games live. Does anyone still have that info? I’m not in Chicago and I don’t have the ticket. Thanks in advance!!

So.. first let me say hey fellas.. it's been a while.. So I was reading an article on the tribune site and there was mention of Todd Collins being elevated back to #2 over Caleb Hanie.. I nearly lost my cheerios and had to find a place to vent! I have never ever been so disgusted with a Bears coaching staff than I have with this one, and the Bears had some extreme losers at the helm over the past 18 years or so.. I'm no fan of Cutler, although I still can see why they would stick with him. However, Collins is an NFL reject that had about 1/2 a season of success in a 16 year career. To put him over Hanie AGAIN has nearly made me reconsider my allegiance to this franchise. It is truly being run by retards.. I'm flabbergasted and a little nauseous right now.. I'm sure I'll be there cheering this team on till the day I die but I'm not sure I'll ever see a SB victory before I go, and I'm only 42.. Chicago deserves better.. nuff said.. just had to rant!!!!!!

Forgot the site that you can watch the games on.. Anyone got that link?

That's a bummer.. You can't coach toughness and this kid is tough as nails. In Chicago, where Qbs routinely are running for their lives, he woulda been a good fit.
-
I'm not convinced Tebow can't make it as a pro QB. The one thing you guys seem to be forgetting is smarts, and willpower. Those are the things that good QB's in the pros have and Tebow has tons of. This guy is a true leader and mechanics can be worked but toughness, you either have it or you don't. I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Bears uni a bit.

I don't like the idea of moving Tilman to safety.. that is unless they intend to make that move permanent no matter what happens at corner. Lord kows they've screwed with Mannings head to the point the guy thinks he's the Karma Sutra of the defense. If they move Tilman to safety, they'll move him back then wonder why he sucks at corner.. I just don't like it.. How about drafting and signing some better quality players around him. That goes for all our potential stars. They need help.

How braindead must you be to keep pounding up the middle. Can we not get creative and run to the outside.. fake up the middle.. anything other than exactly what they know we are doing. Turner definately needs to be tar'd and feathered. Lovie too for letting him .. and please.. how can we give up the longest play in NFL history.. I want to puke..

I haven't been on the Orton wagon, ever. The only positives I've seen from him were he isn't made of glass. His 2nd half last night reminded me of how bad he can play. However, over the course of this season, he actually seems to be improving. He almost seems to be moving towards being a middle of he pack to even proficient at times. If he continues to limit the mistakes and actually learn each week, I am thinking he may just work out. The big thing that leaps out at me at this point is time of possession. In recent years, our D wore thin quickly trying to play so many minutes.. Lately, it seems like we can actually put drives that eat the clock together and we have had some nice 3rd down conversions.. I'll focus on the positives a few more weeks and see how this plays out.
-
According to NFL Network.. Not that he has done much so far but he is definately the focus of the defense when on the field.
-
I'm sorry but this team cannot win with a pedestrian QB. I like Orton but 150 yards per game will not work in the NFL. The D is outstanding but they cannot continually bail out an inept Offense. This going to be a frustrating season.. All u have to do is look around the league at teams scoring a bunch of points.

OK, missed that other post.. buthis name is still not on the official site's list for the practice squad.. http://www.chicagobears.com/team/Roster.html
-
What's the story with Rideau? I thought he was going to be signed to the practice squad but his name has yet to show up on the Bears site. Has any teams showed interest in him? Bradley ought to be washing Hanie's car and cooking him dinner for granting him a spot on the roster.
-
Is there a site that tracks all the players on waivers and FA's by position?
-
I'm actually amazed Hanie is on the Roster.. After all, the Bears are Happy with what they have... subtle sarcasm included
-
It it really ticks me off when players make the roster based on past performance instead of present performance. Brandon plays his ass off and gets shown the door. It's that pathetic mindset that keeps the Bears from putting any consistent team together. That and rarely drafting the most important position on the field. I'm not talking about QB either.. OL.. Although, we should be drafting one of those almost every year as well..
-
what was the website that was going to air the games live online?
-
Yeah.. at least we'll be punting from mid-field every possession

I hate losing Berrian. I know he probably wasn't worth the money but in reality he caught a case of the butterfingers this past season only.. He had some great hands the year before. Even last year, he dropped some easy catches but made some remarkable grabs as well. He has deep speed and I liked the idea of him opposite Hester next season as starters. That would have given fits to defensive secondaries. Now what? There aren't any receivers of Berrians talent available.. Let's face it, in the interest of being frugal, we are moving backwards. What is the point of spending responsibly, if it always leads to losing your players and not using that money to bring in any upgrades? We shoulda franchised him.. Letting him hit the market was a mistake. If briggs was worth a tag last season as a good player on a very good defense, Berrian was worth a tag as the best player on a mediocre offense.
-
I thought, if nothing else, strong linebacking cores are what we've had for years..
-
Then again Ryan Lilja is a 4th year OG with the Colts. He is young and the team really likes him but they may not be able to bring him back.. Much younger, probably a little cheaper than Faneca. Joseph Addai has looked good since his rookie season..
-
Nobody has mentioned Jordan Gross.. He's the top tackle in FA, can play both sides and is only 28.. If we were going to fix the line this OS, I'd say go after both Gross and Faneca.. sure it would cost some money, but we could then concentrate on drafting some offensive playmakers in the draft.. If not, we need to sign Briggs and Berrian long term and draft OL early.. We are going to spend the money regardless... I'd much rather spend it on OL. That's the heart of the offense of any team.

Pix or DBDB... I don't have a copy of the avatar that I had over at Bearstalk. Do you guys have it? z_89_kledanhoj.gif was the name of it.. I believe.. Thanks

I disagree.. I can't pull out any statistics at the moment but I'd bet that not only in recent history but for the Superbowl era, the best passing teams have had the most success. You can point out the obvious exeptions to the rule (ie Ravens, Bucs) but you look at the teams that have had consistent success for long periods of time.. they all had good to great QB's and could launch the Rock... Go all the way back to Johnny U if you want.. A premium air attack is a must for any team to compete year in and year out. You might claim the home field and have the benefit of weather on occasion, but the friggin SB is always played on a fair weather field to prevent the elements from playing a part. The running game first is an archaic afterthought in todays NFL. Don't get me wrong, you still need a good run game but more often than not the strong passing teams can run at will as well because teams have to play straight up.

kledanhoj here... Same name since the days of Da Shrine. Seems like Bearstalk.com lasted the longest though.. even with a few resets along the way. Good to see most of the guys made it over.. Stll need to get used to the new diggs though..
