Jones being out is not good and could impact Caleb having a better half after the break. Washington look a much better team and its a shame our secondary is banged up and Sweat seems to have an injury. Daniels is had a better half and hopefully Waldron can get the O ticking so Caleb has the better half and we win the game 14-9 🙏

I’m glad the schedule pits the Bears against division opponents later in the year. Caleb will have developed as much as he can by the time we play the Packers. I was watching the Lions earlier, and it will be interesting to see how Goff and his offense does against our defense. After seeing how Caleb played today, I liked how he went through his progressions. Hopefully, he will continue on this trajectory after the bye week. I really like what Poles as done with the roster and the weapons we have especially having Allen and Moore at WR. The oline seems to be playing better. I hope it’s not because the defences we have recently played are terrible.

What a result. Good performance from all areas of the team. 2-2, Idid not see this because I was struggling to see how the offense could score. Made my day today. Maybe I should try to stay positive. Must admit the last 2,games were soul destroying. Go Bears. -

That drive is the best balanced drive I’ve seen all year. The TD pass was perfect. The oline seems to be giving the RBs some good holes. Let’s hope we keep it up. 2-2 would be a nice a season start -

I thought the incompletion of both passes were down to Caleb’s inaccuracy. Hopefully this improves as we go forward. -

With the oline regressing which I thought was impossible, I have lost most of my positivity. I feel it is going to be an extremely long year of pain and suffering. I have been disappointed with Caleb play and thought he could show at least average play. He’s missed all types of throws and I’m worried that like last year the 2nd QB taken is the better player. I think that unless the defense and special teams can win games, our offense will struggle against anyone including the Rams on Sunday. I hope I’m wrong. I was expecting the Bears to be in the playoffs or just outside, and that seems a stretch now. -

Can’t believe we didn’t try the onside kick. I know it’s an unlikely recovery but after how the Colts easily got the first down what was there to lose. Also you have better field position. -

We cannot run the ball so why not let Williams attempt a pass from inside the 5 yard line. They are going all out to stop the run so why not use a play action pass. Play calling is terrible and looks like we are going to have a poor season again. -
Thank you to Ryan Pace for persuading the Falcons to take a QB at 8 allowing the Bears to pick Rome. Similar to Lovie letting us get the No 1 pick in 2023 and fleecing the Panthers. Have the football gods finally allowed the Bears to get out of the franchise QB purgatory.

There are multiple reports suggesting 1 NFL source stated Caleb Williams is the first attending player to decline having his medical report shared with teams. Don’t know if the source was stating a fact or an opinion. I have no issue with this because: 1) The report would include confidential information. 2) Whatever is in the report would only need to be shared with a few teams. Caleb is likely going to be available to be selected by up to 5 teams and likely only 1,i.e., the Bears. Would anyone on this board want their personal information shared with an organisation they’re unlikely to work for, I wouldn’t. So for me there is no red flag. When Caleb meets with the Bears or any team that can pick him, he has told them they can do whatever test is needed. This situation will happen in the future because prospects are starting to question some of the previous norms and have greater power, which I don’t think is a bad thing.

I think Poles will take the BPA at 9 or trade down. If an EDGE player is BPA I cannot see Poles not drafting him because this is a hole on the roster. Our D will be so much better if we have a very good to a stud pass rusher/run stopper opposite Sweat. I don’t think it’s outside the realms of possibility that Allen doesn’t get a new contract in 2025. Also if Caleb is everything we hope, he may be able to get quality play from WRs on the roster other than Allen and DJ.

I haven’t seen anything that is giving me a red flag. He has only just met Poles and Flus so I cannot see why we are asking him to be all luvved up with them. He’s a young man and may be uncomfortable when greeting people. He knows Keenan Allen and wasn’t any warmer when they met. I think he is deliberately not alienating any fan base. Ok, we have the 1st pick, everything is pointing to us taking Caleb, but how will he feel going to Washington if he totally buys into the Bears and we trade down to number 2 because we have been offered numbers 2,36, 40 in 2024 and no 1 for 2025 and 2026. Even if Poles thinks Caleb is the next coming of Mahomes, he probably makes that trade.
