Giants played guts out last year against the Pats in week 17, although they already had clinched playoff berth. So I agree with MadLith, no cake walk for the Queens!
-
It's better to stink next season so we can get Bradford instead. Way better than Stafford!
-
Sure KJ is better than AP and Wolfe, no argument. BUT since Forte plays so well we don't need him ATM as a backup. Right now he would just steal an active roster spot over a DB or OL. Right now KJ is a luxuary we don't need to activate ATM.
-
More than likely it's all about roster spots. KJ doesn't contribute on ST. AP and Wolfe does that and by keeping KJ out the Bears can have both Buenning adnd Williams on the active roster. Two players that I'm more interested to see on the field than Kevin Jones ATM. It's not like he has taken a chance on the plays he was given earlier in the season.

I rewatched the sacks (thank you NFL game pass) and it was the same lineup on both sacks: Ogunluye-Adams-Harris-Anderson Noticeable: 1st sack was against a STL 2-TE set and Anderson had almost driven the LT into Green as well. My impression was that, in general, Dusty was in on running plays and that Harrison spelled Harris as the 3-technique tackle.

IMO, I think the fast DE version of Idonije is more missed. He must have lost a step or two when he bulked up to be a DT.
-
The biggest issue I have with Payne is that he can't tackle if his life depended on it! He can hit, but he doesn't put anyone down! Arm tackling doesn't get the work done!

Regarding Bradley, there was some rumours a while back that he refused to play ST in 06 and that didn't take very well with the staff (Lovie). I don't believe that it's the whole story, but there may be some validity to it.
-
The way I heard it Lovie's first choice was Marinelli, but Tampa wouldn't let him go. Babich was then the second choice, but JA stepped in. I might be wrong here but that's what I recall. Anyone who has better memory than me? BTW, Marinelli will probably be fired in the offseason, does anyone want him as DC? I know it would still be Cover-2 and Lovie's guy, but I would have more faith in Marinelli than Babich. (just to clarify, I don't want this. I'm just throwing it out there for debate!).

It's incentive laden and inherited from the Bucs! Suntimes had a piece on it today: Source: Suntimes

I hear both of you! I just reacted to what sounded as we haven't used it at all. BTW. After Paynes interception, 17 sec left of 3rd quarter, 2nd and goal! Playfake. Tight throw to Olsen in double coverage and a drop.

IIRC it was on the short yardage play when we got the PI, but I'm not sure. I remember it because the announcers mentioned it. But it was for one or two plays. I don't really watch the games on the same level as most of you guys are doing it (due to my location, I don't have have the same backrground as you. But I'm a fast learner).

You know that we played in a 3 TE set against the Vikings, right? With Davis. But I agree. I want to see it more!

Thanks for all the tips! Will go to Ditkas! How busy is it on game day? Will definately need some meat and beer for the game!

I'm gonna spend five days in Chicago during this and next week and need some help on what to do. Most important: I need to find myself a good sports bar for the Bears game Sunday! I'll be staying downtown close to the Millenium Park. Any recommendations? Best way to get downtown from the airport? Taxi or are there any kind of bus or train? I will be buying jerseys! Any recommendation of sports stores that are affordable or having a great selection? Or is the official store the way to go? Good bars and restaurants that are affordable! I need to try polish sausages and pizza, but where? I enjoy music a lot. Indiepop, metal, punkrock, jazz you name it! Any recommendations here? Any website with schedules or similar? General advice! Where to go! Where to NOT go! Best way to move around the town without a car? Thanks!

I'm going as well! : Bomber: its Oct 26 so week 8 (Bears bye week so I won't miss that game either!!)

If you've read Mudbaths and Bloodbaths ( http://www.amazon.com/Mudbaths-Bloodbaths-...y/dp/1879483440 ) you know there are allegations that Papa Bear taped the Pukers practices. This is nothing new and all the teams have made. As usual I can't be to bothered about it.

You mean the same Mike Singletary that held out until the '85-season started because he wanted his 6 year deal from 83 restructured? http://www.bearshistory.com/seasons/1985chicagobears.aspx (look below "season news and notes" It's a part of the game, deal with it. I personally believe that the offer Urlacher has received is more than fair, but until he refuses to start a game I can't really bother to care much.
-
Tebow won't declare next year! He'll want to graduate. As of now, I'd take the kid from Ohio or Purdue. But let them play one more season until we anoint them as starting QB.

That I have no objection to!

To jump Pittsburg means trading with at least Dallas. Looking at the value for trading up to 22 you would have needed to give up our 2nd, our first 3rd and our 4th (774 points for Dallas 780). Would you still make that trade? I wouldn't. (Used the value chart from nfldraftcountdown.com, first I found on Google.) Edit: typos

Cherilus is gonna run right over us!

Like it! I'd liked Alberts but I guess Williams is the safer pick!

Ellis. As Robertson seems to be traded to Broncos ( http://www.rockymountainnews.com/news/2008...s-be-done-deal/ ) it makes sense to take the best remaining DT. Although I must confess that I'm not sure how good he'll fit in a 3-4....

Thanks! Just for the record, I was not out to get you in some way, just curious! Thanks again for the good write up!
