  1. You didn't watch any of the Youtoub training camp vids that I posted did you. He's looking pretty fast and hits the hole with speed Not to mention he's seeing a lot more reps then ap in camp thus far. Don't be surprised to see 50% to forte 40% to Jones when healthy, and 10 to wolfe leaving ap to take aybendejo's place on Sp teams
  2. It's simple physics. What would you rather get hit by a little S-10 or a Ford Super Duty both going 55mph. ( I think c-bass may have been a semi, hard to stop when going, but slow to get there and easily jackknifed) Hester's what 175-185 when wet, where as forte is a solid 215-220. There's the implied power. C-bass had power, but lacked the shiftiness and agility to make people miss, but so far forte looks to have those traits when running with the rock.
  3. Truely pathetic that a bunch of "professional" journalists got schooled by a you-toub guy and cried to the Bears about it. They all should feel pretty darn pathetic both personally and professionally!
  4. If he keeps doing it I'll continue to post it to all of you because I understand that some people live a lot further away than others and it's not feasible to go all the way over here to watch practice. However, from what I've heard a lot of journalists are complaining about this guy and how some of their subscribers are hyping this guy up so these journalists are set on having this guy shut down which is total bs since he's not charging people for his footage. I'll let you all know if or when that happens.

    Camp DAY 7

It appears that the qb position may just keep going back and fourth as rex looks to have taken the lead today. Rex really didn't have any mistakes whereas Kyle threw a pic to bowman (who made an incredible play on the ball!!!) and Steltz. I'd have to say that rex has a little bit of an edge after today and the defense is looking really really good. Also even though kyle did have some pics, it did appear that he was role playing rex a bit. Meaning it appeared that kyle was taking some good shots down the field. Not just the dump offs and the 3-5 yarders, but some legit 15-25 yarders and those throws looked really good. Which is why I'm not putting rex up a whole lot. Also, rex didn't have a fumbled snap today, but he did bobble one, but it very well could have been beekman's fault as well. Overall, I'd say rex just slightly now, but still very, very close. Our secondary, along with all the reserves such as bowman, payne, graham, mcbride, and steltz are looking great. Very nice to see this with all the injuries we had last year you just never know. I'm very confident that if healthy we WILL be a top 5 defense again this year. So fellas keep that in mind during your fantasy draft. Don't go and pull a Billy B absentee!!! Here's the link to the day 7 highlights:
  6. Hey bradjock, could you say that again, you just hit the nail on the head. Now I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this: This year's offense will be like the offense of two years ago when we went to the superbowl. Why??? some may ask. That exact reason. Defenses lined up and saw benson back there and gilmore lined up and we were extremely predictable. Now we dump benson and draft forte to go along with wolfe and sign KJ, all of whom are more in the mold of TJ as being a complete back. They can do either run, or pass protect or catch out of the backfield on a screen. We replace Gilmore with Davis and now we have 3 te's that all are great route runners and decent blockers, although not as good as gilmore necessarily, but maybe more effective when you factor in the keep em guessing tactic. Our offense went from being very predictable to hopefully, from a personel view point very hard to judge. No longer will we see c-bass come in and waive the red flag that we're going to try to pound it up the middle. Now with a single back and a 2 te formation the defense has to be prepared for a run either way, and still play the pass. Some may think we're looking pretty bleak offensively, I believe otherwise. I think we're looking more like a more complete offense. Now it's up to whoever plays the qb to take advantage of the mismatches our te's present and take care of the ball!!!
  7. I wouldn't be surpised to see Bradley go. Going back a few days on the commentary you can here him talking about how the coaches were constantly calling out bradley's name for running bad routes. Combine that with his limping problem (maybe he's not fully healed from his surgery yet), and the fact that the coaches weren't exactly very high on him last year and I can see us keeping the following: Hester, Booker, Davis, Llyod, Bennett, Hass (sorry, he and bennett are just making some great catches in camp). Maybe we put Monk on the practice squad. I doubt he'd get picked up since he's coming off an injury and there are other FA wr's out there that could make a difference on an active roster such as terry glenn and who knows if bradley will still be with us, but would be more attractive than monk currently is.
  8. I'd say we'll keep ten on the roster, because you left out Matt Toeaina I've heard some good things about him and wouldn't be surprised if they kept 10 with the swarm of injuries we had last year. Not to mention you could keep idonije as a special teams player with what they were trying last year.
  9. I'd have to agree with BearSox. Steltz. I can definitly see by mid season an intelligent secondary with Brown at the FS spot and Steltz at the SS spot. If and I hope not, but if Brown goes down again I think drafting steltz was not only a steal, but one of the smartest defensive players we've drafted since tillman or vasher. Don't get me wrong, I like anderson and some of the others, but watching some of those LSU games steltz just has that playmaker type of characteristics that we have missed every year when brown goes down. He's got a nose for the ball.
  10. My friend did and then he sent them to my e-mail account with his phone. If you look closely it appears that there are autographs on the side, I wish the pics were close enough to see who the signatures were from. If I owned that car I would keep a permanent marker in it and after every game, I'd wait outside for the players and try to get them to sign it. That'd be pretty cool.
  11. My friend took this with his phone up in toledo, pretty sweet ride if you ask me!!
  12. Maybe barton or the guard just because our line sucks and will more than likely get hurt or yanked for sucking. But I see your logic. I would have to pull the trigger on that deal as well, because even if simms isn't an improvement over grossman or orton, at least it's an improvement over caleb since simms does actually have starting experience in the NFL. It would only make the team better in my eyes. Kinda like the KJ signing. Sure we had peterson and wolfe and promising rookie forte, but kj just gave us that much more depth at a position that is made or broken by injuries.
  13. Sure like I said, every qb this camp has botched at least 1 snap, but Rex is the only one doing it consistently. That's my point. I like rex and I like kyle, but if rex wants the fan base of chicago to stand behind him he needs to quit killing drives with these botched snaps that the other team falls on and those ridiculous passes into double coverage. I'll take kyle bouncing a pass off the turf every once in a while as opposed to rex dropping it on the turf or even worse not bouncing one off the turf and instead into the hands of a wide open defender. That's why I have a feeling kyle may get the nod to starting on opening day, because although he may not throw the prettiest passes, normally he's a "smart" qb when the pressure is coming. Rex continues to let his head get in the way. Not to mention his lack of concentration when handling the snap.
  14. True, To this day all of them have fumbled snaps. Today wasn't rex's first day of fumbled snaps, but it was the first day where they weren't exchanged. One day kyle had a fumbled snap and rex had a pic. Then the next day rex had a fumbled snap and kyle had a pic. Today they both had a pic, but rex fumbled twice. BIG difference there. Like I said I don't care who plays, but I won't tolerate this fumbled snap thing. Sure every once in a while, but to have 2 in 1 practice c'mon! How many excuses need to be made. Last year everyone was questioning whether it was kreutz, now it must be beekman right. Maybe it's just a lack of concentration by rex or kyle or caleb for that matter, but either way rex was the culprit today and twice for that matter. It's a dead heat in my book and I just might be leaning toward kyle now. Especially after rex's first fumbled snap he threw the ball away like it was a bad ball. Learn from your mistakes, don't try to cover them up.
  15. Day 6 looks like kyle is back even if not ahead of rex now. Kyle and Rex both had pics in today's camp, but rex also fumbled 2 (yeah I said it 2) frickin snaps! Kyle's pic was pretty close to the same as Rex's ,as they were both going for the long bomb, but you will also notice on the video, that rex should have had at least one more pic when either vasher or mcbride batted the ball away down the left side of the field. Rex looked like the qb of old as he had his fumblitis with the snaps, throws into double coverage, and numerous batted down passes at the line. The commentator said the kyle is even if not slightly ahead after today, and I'd have to say that it appears to me that he's ahead, just by rex's horrible performance today. You can hear the crowd after his 2nd fumble it sounds like many are just fed up with the fumbles he's having and maybe it's kyles chance to have a run at it this season. I don't care who plays, but at the same time I as a fan won't tolerate the fumbled snaps especially when a highschool team can do it with ease! This is why I personally beleive that Kyle took the lead today. HERE'S THE LINK:
  16. Man forte and wolfe look like they're going to compliment each other quite well. Add in KJ when he's healthy and this may actually be our strongest postition. Kinda wierd saying that since last year we sucked at running the ball. Sure am glad that benson was a moron, I think we're better now then we were when he was with us. Thanks C-bass!
  17. Here you all go, I know some one wanted the link posted so that they coud view each day. His commentary overview of the day isn't put out yet, but just click his profile pic and when he's got it up you can view it. Do this to view the other days of camp as well
  18. Sure, everyone knows that rex will look good in camp, which is why we won't name a starter until after the 3rd preseason game. One thing I noticed from those highligts is that it seems rex is staring down his receivers still. Combine that with his buckle under pressure problems he may not have improved as much as we like him to. Everyone always bashes on kyle every year, but yet his play on sundays is what matters most. Sure rex may win the comp. but who's going to blitz us in the preaseason as if we're in the game-day mindset? I have believed and will continue to believe that we'll see rex against the colts, and maybe a few more teams, but if he proves to be the same player that we had for the first 4 games last year the coaches better not hesitate to try kyle
  19. Here's a bold prediction for the season: Offense - Hester will have his reps, but the person I honestly see winning 50% of the #2 spot is Rashied Davis. A lot of people are really talking about how much stronger and faster rashied looks this year, and thus far in camp he seems to be doing a great job. Last year, on minimum plays he was in for us, he really came up big. I could see him playing in the # 2 spot just as much as devin and his yards after the catch are just what we need. When devin is in the #2 spot I could see him being the slot guy with someone like Bennett getting in on 4 receiver sets since it is his rookie year. Next year this could be a whole different discussion. This offense can do a lot more than what it did last year and that's not the koolaid talking. I mean 4-5 receiver sets when you throw llyod in there, then you also have the 2-3 te sets with clark, olsen, and k davis. Add in the fact of forte/ jones/ wolfe being in the backfield, all of whom can take a dump-off the distance and we're looking pretty good if the o-line staightens up this year. Either way, from a skill position stand-point we're better than an aging moose, butterfinger berrian, and a brewing benson. This year's roster is way better than last and I think we'll show everyone against the colts come Sept! Defense - Laugh all you want, but Alex Brown was pretty pissed to lose his job to Andersen last year. Mark my words he will be playing with purpose this year to show the coaches they were wrong to put Mark ahead of him. I see a. brown really having a good year especially if both dusty and tommie stay healthy, cause he won't see any double teams. Special teams. I would like to see this happen on offense: Forte get 50% of the carries, Jones with 30-35, Wolfe with 10-15 and peterson get what's left whether it be 5% or a little more. Leaving Peterson to be the man who makes us forget about the loss of BA. I think the running back position was addressed for this reason. I like AP but he's more valuable to us as a special teamer than a running back now with jones on the roster. If Forte or Jones gets hurt, which is a good possiblity, then he's bumped ahead of wolfe and someone like williams or payne or graham, or okwo can fill his spot on special teams, but until then he's our guy.
  20. I read you on this one Mads, remember clayton's article stating not to be surprised to see K. Jones sign with the bears he is usually right on with his assessment. One thing I noticed from a different forum I visit is the youtoub video of the two days thus far of camp is that sure rex has the arm but kyle looks really comfortable going through his check-downs and usually finds the open man. Kyle thus far looks like he is going through all his reads and even if it's only a 2-3 yard pass at least it's not in the other teams hands. Granted they both have thrown a pick and both have fumbled a snap, but rex as everyone knows takes the "big play" chances and that's great if it's there, but being able to recognize when it's not is where he struggles. I think we can win with either guys if our d stays healthy and our o-line is average at best. I think forte will be a beast and kj will show no drop off. Another reason I can think that maybe kyle is ahead is when we had berrian rex appeared to "lock" on to him. Will rex do that with booker or olsen. One snap I viewed shows rex staring down olsen the entire time, and in the NFL you just can't do that. Kyle doesn't care who he throws it to, where as rex seems to always have a preference. I was hoping since berrian left that Rex's mindset would change, but that is a really hard habit to break, borderline sub-conscience. So if the coaching staff is going to take a hard look at any part of rex's game other than the buckle under pressure aspect I would think that this would be where they need to address. Rex can be a good qb when his head doesn't get in the way and unfortunately that has been his case.
  21. I can't believe I'm saying this, but it's too bad Devin doesn't have D. Rosenhause. It just seems like Jerry is really good at working with him and not to metion that Plaxico isn't pulling this crap with the giants. I think Drew learned his lesson with the TO debacle. Hester I'm sure will learn his, especially when he reports by Aug 5 only to learn that he's 5th on the depth chart and regulated back to kick returns and situational receiver. If he wanted to get his "payday" I would think that proving to the team you play for that you can be a receiver would be a better way to go about it than sitting on the outside crying that you're not being taken seriously. He and his older brother Deion need to grow up and man up. Devin, you play receiver this year great you'll get even richer so shut up and put up!
  22. Exactly, I think we'll do what we did with Jones. Look not quite as interested so that the player's agent has no leverage, and then we sign him at a lower price when he sees that the market isn't as generous as he thought. Who am I talking about? I would have to say bentley. So far the market for him has been minimal, just like jones. With such little interest I would have to think going to a team like the bears and having that opportunity to "showcase" the fact that you still have "it" would make the most sense. Anywhere else he goes he'd likely not be named the starter immediately, but chicago's line would be rather easy to break into as the clear cut starter. I suspect we just might see bentley in a bears uniform if he isn't offered a valuable contract by another team before the training camps end. I could be way off, but I believe this is a major reason we got Jones. He realized he wasn't going to get that mega deal due to injury concerns so he signed a minimal contract to make this a "prove it" year and since he could come here and have a good chance at if not starting but at least getting a good number of reps he chose us. If bentley's smart he'd do the same and maybe if he plays good we give him a good deal next year and lock up our oline for the future.
  23. I can understand what you're saying, yet in the other hand I read what this guy writes: http://media.fastclick.net/w/get.media?sid...C2339731.column and have to say to myself....Man it sure would be great seeing farve beat the crap out of the packers twice this year and add the ultimate insult if we made it to the superbowl. Boy oh boy Thompson would really look like a complete a$$ for running him out. I mean yeah, there's a huge rivalry between us and I would have to think that this wouldn't be ignoring the rivalry, heck I'd have to say that it would really make it even worse especially if we went to the big dance and won it. I would love for that to happen that would encourage me to become a troll and go to the packers's forum and gloat!!!
  24. I honestly think this year we'll be better offensively. Everyone knew what we had with cedric, and knew he didn't have the speed to break off a long one. With forte and hopefully a FA vet such as jones we'd have more of the "unknown" type of offense and that alone may keep many defenses off balance. Kinda like before they figured out that rex buckles when under pressure. Sure they may blitz, but I see defenses playing more honest than last year cause forte is a big unknown and let's face it no one feared benson. I think that combined with the speed of bradley and hester on the field could make this offense similar to the one we had in '06 ( defenses blitzing less for fear of getting burned and a running back with more speed than what benson had), here's to the spiked kool-aid I got for father's day!!!
  25. Let's get a few things straight read my post I didn't call you stupid I said it's stupid to assume, which is all you're doing, that the defense was trying to hurt benson. Now did they rough him up sure but you have never and will never be in that locker room and you don't know what his work ethic and attitude was, so whether or not they instigated it or he, no one will ever know. We as fans would never wish an injury on anyone even on the other team, so I find it hard to believe that teammates were set out to injure benson. Also, do you honestly think that if he didn't seperate his shoulder in tc he'd be a stud today???? To even say that those hits he took in tc kept him from developing is crazy, he had no desire or fire for the sport much like his older brother ricky (lot of potential wrapped in ignorance and laziness)>Oh yeah, why would you say that I hate benson??? I don't ever recall making that statement?? There's a big difference in hating someone and not caring for their play on the field. For all I know benson may be a real good guy, but I surely wouldn't want him on my favorite team for the fact that he appears not to give it his all, and when you have guys like wolfe, peterson, and forte who have busted their butts off to play in this league why should benson be treated the same as the guys who do give it their all and fight to be on this team? Like I said, I don't hate benson, but I do find it hard to believe anyone would want someone with no motivation on their team. He's blown his chance in the league to be a starting rb, and maybe any chance to stay in the NFL period.
