  1. I have a great idea pay him 4.25 million! Now elect me to the Congress.
  2. Oh come on! Pay him the dad gum money! Don't they have to spend more? If they don't want him, then tell him. Don't low ball him. Not a good PR move!
  3. I'm not getting my hopes up. Remember how long Matt Millen stuck around as GM in Detroit when it was obvious to the rest of the world that he was far more talented in the broadcast booth. I'll bet if they anonymously pass a hat in the Bears locker room for the fire Lovie fund, they could raise a few million. I'm sure the ratings for Bears games have dropped and the networks too happy about it either so they will add to the hat too.
  4. Even if Cutler throws 6 INT's vs. Pitt, it would be a bad idea to boo. Not saying fans don't have the right, it would just be counterproductive. It's not like Rex. Cutler will be the future of the franchise. Supporting him would be a good idea if you want the Bears to win. I feel Cutler and the Bears will do well Sunday and there will be no need for boos. Just in case though, this is not a Rex/ Orton situation and I'll be pissed if he gets booed.
  5. I understand protecting the QB even more since the Bears HAVE a QB! I don't want to see cheap shots like the one the packers did on McMahon a long, long, time ago that I have still not forgotten. But that penalty in the preseason where Alex Brown fell on the QB after a sack (as one tends to do when knocking someone down) was ridiculous. So yea, it is getting too pussified if a legit sack is a penalty. You can't tell 300 pound, super fast, men to be violently aggressive but don't hit the QB too hard if he is stupid enough to stand in the pocket while you run full speed at him. They can't hit the head. They can't hit too low. Hell, just make the pass rush count to three before blitzing and have the QB wear a red shirt with a matching pink skirt. Maybe the QB's can wear little silk flags to pull off like flag football. I don't want anybody to get hurt. If they can't take the hits, put more armor on them and play FOOTBALL.
  6. Hope he has a long healthy retirement. It has been a pleasure over the years.
  7. Rex would only come here if he couldn't find another job. The fans were brutal to him. Even if Cutler was injured and Rex came in the game, the boos would start with the first incompletion and the crowd would start chanting Hanie.
  8. I look at it this way, how many first round picks would it take the Bears to finally pick a QB of Cutler's quality? You can argue that Cutler is not a quality QB, but if the Bears think he is a franchise QB, then get it done and worry about plugging holes later. Angelo seems to be able to find good defensive talent in the draft. Good offense needs to be acquired via free agency, trade, or off of the scrap heap. I have another stupid question. Is Cutler the Bears next Rick Mirer? If not, if he is the real deal, I would trade anybody off of the defense to get him.
  9. I have a stupid question. Does Cutler have any say in the deal? Can he veto a deal?
  10. Tommy Harris + this years 1st and 3rd. Angelo can find defensive players in the late rounds.
  11. This is why the internet should be closed on April 1st.
  12. Yes you sign Farve. You let him teach the Bears the Green Bay offense. Or, he could just tell the receivers what routes to run and draw up his own plays in the huddle. 40 year old Farve would be the Bears best QB Jimmy Mac. Green Bay would not let this happen, but I can not see how the Bears could pass on him. I used to hate Farve with a passion. Now, I sort of admire him as a long time adversary and for the way he seemed to love to have fun.
