Yes, younger, ascending players. Wait and see, I think he ends up getting Ogunjobi here on a one year 6 mil deal giving him time for his foot to heal. He is a potential core player.
-
I think GMs lose their patience when they lose a guy and over pay for a lesser player, Pace did that all the time with overpaying Foles, Glennon, and Dalton. Poles seems to be on track to being smarter.

We signed a SS today, Dane Cruikshank/ 6'1", 212 with 4.41 speed. The main use for Titans that Dane did was play NLB and covered TEs. He shut down Kittle, Kelce and Gescki last year. We found our N guy. Before today, never heard of the guy. A leader on STs.

The more I read and the more I watch tape, I don't think Watson makes it to39. In watching lots of tape on WRs in the draft. Sky Moore and George Pickens have become my favorites. They could be there at 39 and 48.

I love and hate doing mocks because when you get a good one , you think that could happen. There's to many varied opinions, hard to say how the teams align their boards. I just hope we get extra picks and draft 2WRs and a couple OL and ill be happy.

What I like about Poles is stays on the plan even with detours. I sense he got experience with this method at KC. When you shoot for 2nd and 3rd wave players, you lose more than you win. Allen and Ogunjobi were his prime targets, but when they were lost he didn't jump to overpaying for the backup plan. I think Patrick , Pringle, and Jones are people that out play their contracts. Al-Q and Morrow are potential core players. I think he has contract offers out there for a LT and another OL, and waiting on them for their price to come down. I don't think there are any problems adding CBs and SSs at his price. Lots of decent talent out there. Another WR and LB will be areas he will have to play a little more for.

I swear I seen a post that Solder resigned with the Giants.

Poles original plan was a good one. Go after Brian Allen: was offered more money , choose to stay with SB champs Sign Ogunjobi for critical 3T ....injury problem Sign RFA Ryan Bates....Bills meet offer. He had a backup plan... Jones. and Patrick, still don't know who replaces Bates. I think with things not working out , he still upgraded. I suspect a Trai Turner or Laurent Duvernay-Tardif could be next in line. I still think he has an offer for a LT. , Fisher and Brown has not signed yet. If we have nothing else happens, Jenkins- Whitehair-Patrick- Dosier-Borom. He would have to target a draftee and hope he can start at RG or possible OC. Last year when KC did a makeover of their OL , A 2nd and 6th round picks started for them. So we could still have a upgrade coming. Mustifer was asked to put on 30 lbs and played poorly last year. The yr before he played well for 5 games and there was hope. Maybe Mustifer gets his act together and beats out Patrick at OC and Patrick plays RG. Then a drafted comes in to compete at either LT or RT. Other names will be cut after the draft we could bring in. I remember Ruben Brown was a late signee. There is hope for an upgrade for OL.

Sure neither one get paid alot.

Bates has little tape( 400 snaps) but 1 penalty, no sacks. Daniels was above average but not a nasty attitude that Poles likes. We will see who ends up the better player. People said we went after Brian Allen with more money offered. I wonder if he still would have tried to get Patrick to play RG, or he was the backup plan?

I think it's pretty clear Poles isnt going to give any big contracts out for anybody other than a LT, If he signs a Eric Fisher or Duane Brown, I suspect that won't be cheap but at a good value. Players holding out for more money have to be nervous, I suspect we get some more players this week. Lots of good players still available.
-
You get an impression of Poles plan, but still are not sure of his evaluation of the current roster. Daniels is a good player but not great. He prefers a more physical player so he moves on. Does he think Jenkins and Borom are for real, seems that way by not getting a OT yet. Last year he drafted 2 starters to KCs oline. A second and 6 th rounder. I'm curious on what his evaluation of Thomas Graham is.
-
If they spend money, I think it's for a younger player that could turn into a core player. 30 presses that mindset. Thomas is a younger player that would come cheap. I would take that chance.
-
30% of the NFLs rostered players last year were UDFA. So most of the depth players we don't even know yet. The players I would like to see him still sign are ; Steven Nelson/CB....Justin Coleman as the slot Corner.....Ronnie Harrison/SS.........PJ Williams/S.....TreQuan Smith/ WR.......Auden Tate/WR.......Jesse James/TE......Anthony Frisker/TE......Kysir White/LB......DuaneBrown/LT.......
-
If we add two more WRs, Auden Tate and TeQuan Smith would be my choices. Also resign Jesse James at TE. Tre Quan Smith is 6'2" with 4.49 speed.. Audin is 6'5" 4.69

Would Work for me. Draft a 5 th round OT to replace Brown in a couple years. The only thing we know right now, first 2 targets were Brian Allen/OC and Ogunjobi. Both didn't work out but it gives you what he was thinking. He had a backup plan, Patrick and Jones that he signed right away. One thing to think about is the possibility that Bates could play LT. He took some snaps there. Clearly Poles was looking at Bates right from day 1 but the process prevents a quick sign. He has to have an offer to a LT that has not been reported. I would say the tackle is waiting to see if he got more money. If seems he's targeting younger players with upside , that doesn't need big contracts with the hope of becoming core players. The LT spot doesn't have many of those types still on the market.
-
I would bet my house that he moves back at least once in the draft. He said he wanted to get more picks. He seems to do what he stated he will do .
-
A few other WRs out there Auden Tate TeQuan Smith Tajae Sharpe Bresham Perriman Dante Pettis Brandon Powell Kellan Cole
-
You think this would have happened sooner before Foles got a roster bonus of 5 mil a few days ago.
-
Even with Mahomes throwing to him, he is still just a #3.
-
That's probably everyone they draft and we won't get any of those players.
-
I would even take a Duane Brown to upgrade the LT position. I think someone already said it but bring in Billy Turner as a swing tackle . If Jenkins fails, he can play LT.
-
The Bills had him listed as a LT on their website. He may be able to play LT if Jenkins fails there. Bills are 12.4 mil in the hole but teams can always find money if they need it. So what do you have to pay him for them not to match? 3 year 26 mil and apply 10 the first year? If he is a legitimate starter, 8 mil is a good value.

I agree with everything except that they will trade up. After the first 6 WRs, Wilson- London-Willams- Olave-Burks- Dotson. The next group is very closely rated about the same as Dotson and Burks. So I think if they stay where they're at , they will get a comparable talent.
-
With KC and GB trading top WRs, that means 2 more Wr. will be drafted ahead of us. Great Blue North Draft report has 6 rated ahead of our pick. The new two are Pickens and Watson . I figure they get drafted ahead of us. So the next WRs rated in order 63 Tyquan Thornton 64 Alec Pierce 76 John Metchie 95 Justyn Ross. 98 Skyy Moore If none of the first group drop , we probably should wait until 48 and take Pierce or Justyn Ross if available. Ideally Pickens or Watson drop but as far as value , should wait until 71 and take a Skyy Moore or David Bell. At what spot and who? I would draft Pierce at 48 and Jalen Tolbert at 71. At 39 get a Tyler Smith , Nicholas Perit- Frere or Zion Johnson if they drop.
