    New Defense?

If you cut Goldman post June1, you save 8.8 mil. That might be enough foe Hicks for 1 yr. Or Nichols for 2yrs. My problem with Hicks is he will only play 10 to 12 games, been hurt 3 yrs straight. We have a D L coach as our head coach, what he did for most of his career, would like to know hi input on personal. 2 OL running the team, I think they will know how to build lines.
  2. Poles was part of the process that overhauled the KC OL so I see him making that his first priority. Next would be playmakers for Fields. I think we will only be bringing in one high priced FA, if not Ryan Jensen then a WR. It won't be ARob, Adams or Godwin. So Mike Williams seems like a fit, big WR. 12 to 15 mil a Year? I can see them cutting Cohen and using that money to bring back Grant. Other names I like Christian Kirk, Michael Gallup, Bryon Pringle and Zay Jones.
  3. For their age and money, I don't see getting value for them unless you find a Rams type team trying to go for it. Poles was a OL and Flus has always been a DL coach so I see them looking at them as a value not a liability.Miller went to Rams on a vet minimum for one year, you're going to have to pay big money for Mack or Quinn.
  4. Glow must have played for Nelson while he was hurt. Personally, I would like them to resign Daniels and play him at OC and bring in a physical guard for RG. You should be able to find one at 39 in the draft.

    New Defense?

He will apply his scheme but adapt to his talent. Mack and Quinn can play DEs , Blackmon the nose tackle spot. Could they bring back Bills Nichols for the 3 technique spot? Jaran Reed is a FA from KC , would he fit better? Smith is going to be the will LBer, but who plays MLB? Also Gibson was a down DE in college so not AA reach for him at DE. I hope Goldman is gone, never played the same last yr.
  6. I heard he wants to call plays and GB wants him to stay but LeFuier does that job. Hackett will be in Denver. Tada Chicago. I read they will offer him the OC job and want Pep to be the QB coach and passing coordinator. Same job he had with Houston.
  7. Being the first coach picked, we have a larger group to pick from. Will urn out well.
  8. Definitely, both lines will be thought of. He may like Jenkins and Borom. I can see him bringing back Daniels and a OC or RG depending on where Daniels will play.
  9. He is still NY, don't let moving fool you. We need to remember K C has been missing some 1st round picks lately to. So he is use to that disadvantage. KC has only had one 1st rounder in last four years.
  10. I don't know enough about any canidates we hired for both jobs but I would have been excited if Jason and AZ54 would have been hired for these jobs. Its a new day for the bears going forward, why not be positive.
  11. Good call. I think he already gave a list of coaches he wants to Poles when he got hired. He has a plan and knows who he wants here.
  12. Although Lovie is off the same food chain that Matt comes from,, he has already stated he's bringing a LB coach with him, so I suspect he will be the DC.
  13. I thought it would be between Caldwell or Quinn. Surprised its Matt. He must have had a great plan to convince Ryan to choose him.
  14. Connections to Eber, for example, Brady has the same agent as both hires.
  15. Since Poles was in KC, what cheap free agents could Ryan bring with him? WRs Brian Pringle and Demarcus Robinson CBs Chavius Ward and Mike Hughes S Daniel Sorenson None made significant money and Sorenson is the only one with age. Pringle has 4.46 speed and has gotten better every year. Ward is a better CB than anyone on our roster not named Johnson.
  16. I heard he might be taking Aikman's place In the booth, troy is leaving for Amazon.
  17. George said Poles gets to pick the coach so that's a good thing. I don't know much about any of the choices, but am glad they are moving forward. He was scheduled to fly to Minnesota, so they didn't let him leave the room. He was a finalist for 3 jobs so bears aren't the only ones that liked him. Time will tell.
  18. I think that's smart to interview both, so when they pick a GM, they share the information and let him decide.
  19. That is a good list but as a scout, at what point did he take over to be in command of the room. Lots of scouts in the room.
  20. Although the job would be attractive, would being in a room with Ted and George impress you? I have my doubts.
  21. All of your comments make sense.I would take Rick Smith and Daboll
  22. There is no way they discuss salary on the first interview.
  23. Why would Daboll leave for any other reason than as a head coach?
