This is so much of a one-sided contest, the Bears will surprise us. Maybe not win but a 23 to 20 type of game.I can see Ogletree and Mack having a big game. Alex played for the Rams for 8 yrs. IF we run the ball well we will keep it close. Montgomery and James will score TDs. Rams don't have the same defense they had last yr and lost their defensive coordinator. It will matter. Rarely will our OTs face Aaron Donald, our internal OL will neutralise him.The last 3 yrs Donald made a few plays but never went off. Their running game will be shut down. As long as keep their short passing game in check, we will have a chance.

When we pick up other players from other teams cuts you have to realize some hits and lots of missies. Akeem Hicks was a NE cut, and look how he turned out.
-
Not sure but I think they (Packers) are always drafting OL every year, so they have more of a base to draw from. Something we should be doing. They kept Adams initially and then cut him the next day. I think they did that so other teams will add players before he was released the next day. So better to get him thru waivers which is 24 hours after he was released. I think he will be back on the PS.

They released some players they will bring, IMO. Carrying 7 ILBs seems strange and you know Jenkins is going to the IR list. Tomorrow will be more clear. I think they tried to figure which players they might be able to slide a few players thru waivers without someone taking them.

He is one the defensive leaders, he's going to start. Maybe gives up some third downs to Ogletree.
-
I agree with Pace but Nagy gets this year to prove himself. He has more speed and a better QB group , the time is now.

With young players, they need to get better every year. Him and Ridley have not. I think Ridleys gone to.

Week 2 Preseason Official Game Thread - BUF at CHI (SAT, AUG 21, 12pm)

Right now the only reason I am watching is Field's. Its nice if everything looks good but that is no indication of what the season will end up. -
Two things I liked. He was never panicked by what was happening, handled all of it. AND he has very good speed.

Week 1 Preseason Official Game Thread - MIA at CHI (SAT, AUG 14, 12pm)

I think he is elusive enough and with the threat of him running, it will slow the defense down. Anytime you make decisions because of worry of injury, it cancels players. Just go for it. We signed Peters today so he should help. -
As far as scheduling, I have one live draft usually the Tuesday of the start of the season. Which would be on the 7th. The others are online so I can manage any of them. So I am flexible but that Tues.

I think this indicates he wont be ready for the opener. I'll take a 39 year old Peters over Leno everyday. Since that is what he will be compared to when he plays.

With a shaky oline, Fields needs to be behind center to help the offense. -

When will Nall finally be cut? Herbert has to be the 4th RB. -

Its the first preseason game but one thing is for sure, Foles did not earn himself a trade. -
It's not a problem yet but has bad optics. A few weeks will define everything. Jenkins never missed any time in college, so probably just being cautious.

I don't think any of the covid stuff is long term. They either tested positive or was around someone that did. In 2 days they retest them. The rapid test isn't very reliable and they get a lot of false positives.

Marquin Chirstian has been running with the #1s at the nickel spot. They are trying out everyone, so I am sure someone will step up and get the job done.
-
Little tweaks dont bother me, always happens, its the major injuries that has a negative effect. Example Cohen last year. Jenkins having back tightness and not practicing, is just the Bears being overly cautious because of their lack of depth on the LT spot. I still believe If not Wilkerson , Bars still could play decent LT if needed.
-
He is very physical and athletic. I remember Carimi as a finesse guy. Could be wrong.
-
They took risk at LT with getting rid of Leno, they needed the cap space. They list Wilkinson as the backup. but I have read that Barr with get reps there. He has the body to play the LT spot. I think they will use Barr as a multi position backup. They have 3 that can play LT if Jenkins gets injuries but clearly he is given the spot. Leno was there for a long time but has been mediocre. The risk of a high end draftee will make some mistakes but how far away would that be from what we would have gotten from Leno? We simply dont know but I think the change will show results going forward. We needed improvement, if you always stay the norm, you will always get the same results. We are taking risk because of the upside.

He's back but they don't like each other, he's not going to sit out and packers weren't going to trade him. With bad juju in the room, I can see some bumps in the road ahead.
-
I think cut a deal, he plays this yr and moved some money to a bonus for him and won't tag him next yr and he gets his release.
-
They are upgrading from the bottom up and that is huge for the TE position. Always seems to be a lot of injuries to TEs for some reason.

I remember games where Robinson had to line in up in formations. He was very athletic, but didn't have his head on straight. Consistency was his problem.
