Prefer S but a good player helps. Maybe they trade a next yr pick for another pick before 163.
-
If we don't add anybody on defense, we still have free agency to add to defense. I would be happy with all offensive picks.
-
We are going to get 2 good players so we should be happy. When is the last time we got the best player in the draft at a position? Oops forgot Roquin may have been.
-
To be honest I would rather lose the bet and replace Leno but probably not going to happen. Still both OTs on the board so there's hope.
-
Hard to imagine him making an impact as a rookie but TE is so valuable a position to Nagy, maybe he does.
-
Big difference between him and Shaheen, big time school and a complete TE. With Burton gone this was a possibility . He's a Y TE and U is Graham. Both on the field at the same time makes Red zone look better.
-
Everyone is going to complain but if he helps make the offense better, I'll buy in. I think their focused on Chinn who will be there later. With McKinney gone I'll be satisfied with Chinn.
-
Dane Buglers mocks the second round and jas the 2 Ots gone to Cincinnati and Jaguars. he has getting Xavier McKinney and Cruisberry. I would be happy with that. Deep enough at WR to still get one later. We definitely need to trade back with our 50 pick.

Besides that list , Cleveland/ OT and 2 QBs might get drafted ahead of us. Eason and Hurts which leaves us in a good position to grab 2 excellent players.
-
Its hysterical that they address a QB when they have several needs, WR and TE besides OL and DL.
-
So I predict at 43 Delpit and at 50 we move back and take Claypool.
-
I think the top rated WRs by many so called experts are. Higgins- Shanult-Hamler- Mims and some throw in Claypool - Pittman. Several of them are going to be there with both of our picks. The only one of that group I don't like is Shanult because of his injury history. Hamler is a playmaker but is small otherwise I would be happy with the rest. I have literally seen every big board every site have posted and expert opinions. You may be right about 3 rounds instead of 2 but everyone thinks this is a deep draft for WRs

According to GBNDREPORT big board top 25 3 Ss 3 CBs 2 OTs 3 EDGE 2 IOL 4 WRs Besides the top 3 Ss, Chinn, Duggar, and A. Davis are available. I see them sitting there at 43 and grab a WR or OT if one them drop. Then trading back at 50 and still be able to Chinn or Duggar between 55 to 65.

We have to move forward with everything and figure out different ways to do things. I think they set a great example for other sports to figure ways to get sports back as quickly as possible. For example: baseball should set up training camp for 6-1 screen every player and keep them isolated until July 4th and start the baseball season. Then add spectators August 1st.

There was 27 WRs that had 1st and 2nd round grades. I think it's still a strong position.
-
2 OTs left , probably not good odds we get one. Looks like S and and CB still strong choices. No Ss have been picked yet.

I have 2 opinions in my perspective. What I want and what I think the Bears will do. I'm with you on replacing him but depends on who is available at 43. If they move back, probably won't find a OT to replace him this year. If a OT falls to us good enough to replace him this year. , I would take him. Leno on his best day is just average. I'm just not sure that what pace would do. The answer will come to us on Friday. As you have suggested before Peters would be better. Now that he won't find a home until after the draft he maybe will be cheap enough. We have 9.3 mil in Cap space. That will come into play. If we end up drafting a TE somewhere we can cut Braunnecker and Shaheen that's 3.5 million. These are iffy scenarios , I think I still win our bet by default.
-
I was listening to the Score with Bryan Perez from NBC sports. The key to who they draft will be determined by who drops in the draft that gives them big value. . For example, he stated the If a Mims or Raegor drops, they should take them otherwise the WRs- available doesn't give you value at where they pick. He's pushing that if Jalen Hurts is available, we should take him. I don't agree with that. Also thinks one of our 2nd round picks will be Chinn/ SS. That is the value he should go at according to him and the bears like him a lot. So any number of positions are up to be drafted at our spots . He said RB, ILB and D line are not in play there.
-
I agree on Leno being replaced but just don't think the bears will do that. Any OT in our area to pick will need to sit a year to grow. Now if a Josh Jones drops, he might be able to replace Leno. The problem here is Pace going to trust a rookie over Leno in a yr he has to win? He looks at Leno and sees his career, you look at last year. Different perspectives.
-
That's a realistic draft. Thumbs up.
-
He probably has to do a physical yet , its probably not valid until that's done. Whether he passes or not , someone had to go. I remember when Calahan left for Denver , he didn't play last year. Hard to ignore injury history on players.
-
I just looked up the source that NBC sports used as a reference and this is a bullshit post. The guy also stated we're in talks with Jacksonville to trade for for their RB.
-
That makes the most sense being WR and OL are the strengths of the draft. They still could get a potential starter at S with their 5th pick. I think they trade back so all those positions come I to play with more picks.
-
I dont think their that dumb to take on a 9 million salary for a below average LT. They have the 14th pick which puts in the sweet spot to grab a top OT. Their next pick is 45 so they have same options we do for a OT if they pass at 14. I believe that they grab a OT at 14 and a IOL at 45. Tampa has there full slate of picks, so they shouldn't have a problem filling all their needs.
