If BPA ends up being 2 Safeties in this draft, that's not a bad thing provided we get extra picks. In many mock drafts I took Delpit in the second round and Brooks was still there with our late picks. Like AZ said before, SS is huge to be able to allow EJac more freedom in the back end and covering TEs.

The OL needs to play up to 2018 expectations because we probably only upgrade the RG . I think we ranked somewhere in the middle 15th or 16th as a team. Last year the oline screwed up our offensive production by not allowing us to get our running game going and put the defense on the field more often that wore then down late in games. They had to many penalties that killed drives. I went back and watched several games from 2019 and 2018 and the oline played better in 2018 but still wasn't very good. Hopefully Daniel's takes a step forward and we can get average play out of our OTs. IFEDI or who ever plays RG needs to be good to make our offense better.

Your back to this competition thing again . Everyone gets some things right and something's wrong when they predict moves. I just don't keep track of everyone's wins or loses, apparently that's important to you. All of this started with making 1 bet and that's fine , some things I agree with you and when I don't, I give my opinions. I'm not really interested in making every opinion a competition because sometimes I agree with you and sometimes I don't. It's just having a conversation. For example : I see a list of people you think will be cut ( Robinson) and then you go to explain, you said you didn't think he would be cut. Sometimes it's just confusing. I don't understand why you put him on the list?

I was sleeping when that news broke ( in Thailand). I seen the drug fail after whoever made the remarks about him dropping in the draft. He may drop but I still doubt it gets to us.

We have 1 bet that leno starts the first game barring any injuries, we kinda have to wait until the season starts for that one. I hope your right on that one because that means we upgraded the spot.i just don't think it will happen.

We are all just giving our opinions here , I didn't know we were competing on what we got right and wrong. I did think they would keep Floyd because they would do a new contract to make his price cheaper. I also said that if they had to pay him 13 mil he was not worth keeping. I also said if Burton was healthy they would keep him . I don't know if he's healthy or not. If he doesn't pass a physical when he goes to a new team then maybe he's not healthy. So I guess you WON those arguments. The difference between you and me is I'm not on here trying to tell everyone that ( I was right about most stuff I predicted) . I just brought up that most to you was 4 of 10 right. Like you said there is time for all your predictions to come to. You still have to wait on Leno Patterson Robinson Shaheen Cohen Braunnecker So if it matters I think Shaheen and Braunnecker are probably gone but not today. So that means you would have 6 of 10 right and then you can make sure to tell everyone how smart you are.

It's strange that last year Dax Raymond was getting accolades for being a 4- 5th round pick value and became our property as a UDFA. He went to the practice squad and we never heard from him again. I read he needed to gain strength and was slow at picking up the offense. I would think this year he maybe get noticed more to at least have a chance of making the roster.

Speed help. RBs. From what I have read about Antonio Gibson: good size / RB/ WR 4.39 Anthony McFarland : good size - productive 4.44 Ray Calais: 5'8" 188. Explosive RBBC type 4.42 Darrynton Evans: good skills 5'10" 203 4.41 Johnathan Taylor: 4.39 complete RB 4.39 TEs. Alberto Okwuegbunam; good size 4.49 Chase Claypool: 4.42- good size - decent blocker ( I listed him here because I think this is the position some teams will use him as) Brycen Hopkins bad blocker- good receiver 4.66 WRS. Brandon Aiyuk: plays faster than 40 time on film 4.5 Tyrie Cleveland: size and speed 4.46 Isaiah Coulter: 4:45 size and speed - raw Devin Duvenary: 4 39 decent size playmaker John Hightower: 4.43 size - raw but quick Stephen Guirdy: good size 4.47 Darrell Mooney 4.38 decent size quick Quiz Watkins 4.35 decent size playmaker Freddie Swain: 4.46 decent size low productive in college Jason Reagor, Mims and Hamler all have good speed , Hamler is small, Reagor is a playmaker and Mims has everything going for him. Probably picked before us. MY IDEAL DRAFT: Trading back and having 4 top110 picks getting a safety Chinns- Duggar or Davis Devin Duvenary WR Chase Claypool/ TE Antonio Gibson RB They all fall around picks 70 to 110 in most drafts I see. That's some serious speed.

Throwing darts at potentially good players that failed is fine. 1 out of 3 may succeed on a high level. It's a minimum contract and at worst gets cut in training camp. Out of the former high pick vets we added, I would say IFEDI seems to have the best chance at succeeding. Some times a fresh start with a new coach and put at OG instead of RT may just be what the doctor ordered. Burns and Mingo are probably what you see is what you get , depth players. Robertson is on a different trajectory, changed leagues, may turn out well. Spriggs will have to prove something.

I read some draft profiles on Muse and flexibility was a question but most said he makes up for that with football IQ. He was a team captain and has the ability to cover TEs and RBs. A good tackler but was suggested he put on 10 lbs and become a LB, weakside or middle in the 3-4. Sounds more like a backup than a starter but Kwit had some of the same characteristics put on him when he came out. They said a hard worker and rentless pursuit. They're many better options but sounds at the least a good special teams player and NFL backup. Plus 4.41 speed doesn't hurt.

I'm sure someone like a Higgins or Josh Jones could drop down but a top 4 OT will never make it out of the first round. I think they just haven't adjusted their board, a lot of players have moved up the board. Erza Cleveland was not even in the top 100 player and now he could go in the first round.
-
I'm not saying that Woods and Iggy are the answer but the fact we didn't add a backup in FAGENCY suggests they have more faith in them that fans do. I still think a draft pick and vet after the draft are still in play. Tolliver was also a UDFA and he seems to have developed more than Joseph but the fact they haven't replaced Joseph yet , maybe he still could make it. He was considered a 6th or 7th round pick and being 6'1" with speed , 15 int , 40 pbs he was worth taking a chance on.
-
So far I only see that you had 4 right but I do think Shaheen is gone and probably Baurnecker. I think with Burton being cut we are in play to draft a TE. Floyd was a bust as a pass rusher but he did have some value on the team. It was his salary that was the main problem. Had he been a second or 3rd round pick with a 7 mil salary on his 5th year option, he may still be here.
-
In 2017 he was put on IR also with a hamstring injury. Seems his injuries have limited his development. Maybe he ends up something if he is past his injuries. Worth a shot.
-
I have done several mocks on PFF, some of the situations seem totally unrealistic, no way in hell Becton makes it out of the top 15 let alone fall to 43.
-
I don't know if anybody has did this simulator from PROFOOTBALLNETWORK but today the free one that they have is no longer free. They one on the site free but no trades. Its lame in comp.
-
We have our 2 backups on the roster, if they didn't think they could potentially contribute, I don't think they would be on the roster. For some reason a lot of people think we can't develop players, that's the way good teams do it. Tolliver and Joseph( CBs ) have been kept around for the third year now, so not sure why so many think CB is one of our neediest positions. It's a question mark but so are later round draft picks. I think we have some rostered players that could step up this yr. Bars Coward (improves ) Tolliver Joesph Shelly Denmark Woods Ridley Wims Holtz Horsted Vaughters A few of them might surprise us.
-
I definitely think their will be more trading than normal this year. With a lot of questions of health and not being able to work out some players, I think teams will go after players they have on their board. It will be teams that think they're close and teams with extra picks. I think if they have someone drop like Delpit to 43 , they take him. A few others rated higher players that they would probably. take , like a Josh Jones/ OT . Then trade 50 with some of your options. I think NE would be a good option. They're always trading and don't have a second round pick plus Pace has traded with them several times.
-
ILB is just fine unless we can get a starter on minimum contracts. We have Joel Iggy and Josh Woods that need to step up . We also signed Devonte Bond late last, we didn't do that because they were bored.
-
We should forget any trading for people unless we're trading some one like Cohen for a 4th round pick. We have no picks.
-
If I remember didn't he play well for a few games going in at CB in 2018.
-
All in on that one . I just did one where I trade back 3 times to 72 and Taylor was still there. Had to take him 27th ranked player.
-
The strength of the draft is WR and OT . The OL and SS are probably our most needed areas to address. If we trade back we still could get a starting OG, a OT to develop, a SS capable of starting and add speed to the WR core. TE is a need but with a weak class, odds of grabbing one that can beat out Graham-Burton are very slim. Rarely does a rookie TE make a big impact. So I think we go with Graham, Burton, Harris, Holtz, and Horsted . Maybe a later pick to develop ( Stephen Sullivan) to stash on the practice squad would work. Adding speed in a RB would be ideal for this offense, and I'm sure that happens but not early. We have added in free agency at all our areas of need . So we have the luxury of BPA. I see them adding speed to the awful offense we had last year.
-
I would say if he drops to us, we have take him he's a top 30 prospect. He is that DK Metcalf type of wr. I think he timed in 4.4s at his size.
-
I think if they trade back and get extra picks, they absolutely will add a speedy RB. My favorite is Antonio Gibson, he can be a WR or RB and is considered a 3-4th round pick. So if we trade back get a SS, OT and grab Gibson and a Duvernay between 80-120 with our extra picks, you have speed to compete this yr. A RB will not be a wasted pick plus Gibson had more touches at WR this yr.
