  1. Wwe have been condemning every thing the last few days , let me remind everyone a few things : This regime has got us a 12-4 and 8-8 season. We have ARob...Montgomery....Patterson....Cohen....Miller....Goldman....Hicks....Mack....Quinn....Smith....Trevathan....Fuller...EJAK. This is a good core to work from. We have a top 5 defense even with tolliver at CB. The big question pressing for me is SS. We will get 1 in FAgency and draft one. It doesn't matter if our backup ILB is bare. We can find another KLP cheaply. On O the biggest question is the Oline. We will be going with Massie and Leno, if they play at 2018 level that will be good enough. Either Bars or a draft pick will man the RG position. Daniel and Whitehair were not as good as 2018 but they are not bad players. If we can bring in a IOL and OT th either backup or take over , the oline will be fine. Don't forget we have a new OL coach, I think that will matter. We're going to add a WR and RB and that can be done cheaply. We are going to be good it's just whether 9-7 or 12-4 defines us and the QB play will determine that. We now 2 shots at getting that right.
  2. I think there is still a strong possibility we trade both picks back and pick up 2 extra picks in the top 100. OL, WR, SS and TE. Does everybody think we could get 4 for Cohen? I don't think so. People who want a scat back could draft one in the 4th.
  3. I seen this today, we need more backups at OLB too. Doubt he is a cheap addition. He made 6 mil last year.
  4. I think he is our best option of who is available. Its nice if it wouldn't cost anything but it doesn't work that way. If all this means we get to the playoffs that is all I care about. I don't care how they do it. They will lose they job if they screw this up, not me.
  5. If something is up it will come out. Being a team captain usually means well respected and well liked in the locker room. Maybe had a problem with a coach?
  6. I think there is enough Ss out there that would be able to find one that we could get HaHa deal with. Also Detroit just released Devon Kennard a OLB that had 7 sacks last year and was a team captain. There is going to be many players released during this process, so we're going to get some players just not top tier.
  7. We're dismissing players that already have on the team. What if they think Bars is good enough to be RG? What if they think tolliver or Tre Robinson is good to go at CB. they will be able to bring second tier players at ILB and S . Let's see what the moves they finish up with. Its very simple, if we don't make the playoffs, their all done anyway. Your job not on the relax a little and let play out. I'll try for an article about the Oline that someone wrote. It made a lot of sense with its opinion what needs to happen. The OTs were terrible last year but if they can play at the level on 2018 they were both listed in top 30 tackles in the league. Massie had to deal with an injury last year and Leno moved and had a child over that offseason. Maybe that affected them quit a bit. The guy made the point that moving Daniels and Whitehair back and forth screwed them up and used PFF stats to prove it. Your a smart guy, you can't have thought that we were going to be able replace the OTs this year no matter what we did.
  8. Any way they went would have its criticism. I am just happy they made a move and not left this in MTs hands alone. The proof is in the pudding. If we succeed, everyone is a winner. If we lose Pace is gone anyway. I heard on Twitter , another team wanted him. If we lost the deal because we only offered a 5th , then what would anyone say. This is a much better move than the Graham move. If Pace hits on both 2s a surprise later pick , I will be happy with the draft. I see him aggressively trying to trade back with both our 2nd round picks so we may still end up with 4 in top 100. All of this is not over yet. There will be some gets at the end of the 2nd tier CB and S. Let's see who they end up with. Anybody complaining about getting KLP and Nick Williams last year at this time? We have to let this play out and look at it at training camp, not now when we don't even know how soon football will start this year. One good point is Foles has no learning to do , he played in it already. We don't the cost of Dalton or Cam would have been. Would anybody be complaining if we had to give up a 2 for oone of them? I am going to look at this as a positive move until it proves otherwise. I don't think anyone on here has the beer flu, we're all winners.
  9. I agree Trevathan gets hurt a lot but you can't pay everyone. Its time for Iggy or Woods to step up.
  10. The problem is we need those first few picks to fill needs we don't get in free agency. Unless they draft komet , I think he is most complete TE of the group. .
  11. Heard on Twitter that the bears had a meeting with Karl Joseph, hope that's true.
  12. I hope he succeeds, always liked him. It today's NFL its either a stud RB or a running back by committee. He's not a stud.

    What QB?

Don't despair people, Joe Flacco's being released. I probably better say now before someone thinks I'm serious. IT'S A JOKE
  14. I think the draft is going to be about O in the front picks. Ol, Ol, QB, WR, and another TE. If they legitimately go with BPA, there will have a choice of all the TEs, WRs and OL should have many choices. So my question is to you guys ( what you think the bears will do, not necessarily your choice) if a OL , WR, or TE valued choice is there at 43, what position do they choice first? My view: since maybe only 1 TE will be off the board and is considered not great draft , I think they will think they can still get one in the 4th round of similar value, it won't be a TE. Between a potential starting OT being there or WR , I think they take the OT . The WR group has the most depth The OT probably wont start a either OT spot this year , that they use him at the needed RG spot and put him at OT next year when they can dumb our OTs. So OT----WR----TE. I think a speedy WR would have more impact on the team than the TE this year. Like a Mims, Reagor or Claypool should all be in the 50th pick range. 43 Ezra Cleveland/ /OT 50 Chase Claypool 140 Bycen Hopkins
  15. In hindsight I would have rather had Olsen for 1 year at 7 than Graham at 8 but taking a chance on a younger man breaking out , would always be the first choice.
  16. This is exactly how these things get started. Every one on here has mentioned FAs that they wanted for the bears. it's a group thing. Ones I remembered , I just started listing players and contracts to compare with players that got signed. I'm not sure what the high jacking posts means but I didn't take a poll first to see who people wanted me to mention. I post shit because I get bored being in Thailand for 5 months. If I post a thread you don't like, don't react. If you have an opinion go for it. I listed Sudfeld because I mentioned him , I never suggested anyone else did. This is what you do and then you throw this back like I'm always the one cat calling. We both do it.
  17. This all started with the Ss need thing. That is a difference of opinion as to the degree of need , you dismissed it and say we will just draft one. That would only give us 3 . A FA is needed. You dismiss it again and say the theme of the thread is priority FAs. I started the thread and it's just free agency thoughts. When you say something offbase , I call you on it, you do that to me all the time that's how this all got started. So I start jacking with you. It's hard for me not to do that. You think your smarter than me and you always make little digs . Example ( you say I'm still pissed because you were right about MT and Cutler) you give to much credit for a good memory. If we disagree on something instead of little digs on each other, I guess we just agree to disagree.
  18. The best scenario is take a OT in the 2nd round and then play him at RG this year . Then Leno be gone. Put him on the wing.
  19. Teddy Bridgewater signed at Carolina
  20. Quinn is good at run defense too. He may not be as good as Floyd at some aspects of the job but I'll take double digit sacks any day.
  21. If someone takes a shot at you or states something wrong , just ignore them? Hard for me to do that. If you want to kick both of us off , too late for me to change. Go for it. You seem to be the only one complaining about it. This is a Bears blog not The Catholic Fantasy league blog.
  22. He's a player, he will fit in quite nicely. He's going to turn 30 in May . We get 10 out of him and 15 out of Mack, you got something. This probably puts us in the top front 3 in the league. Nichols-Goldman-Hicks- Mack- Smith-Trevathan- Quinn
  23. I've been on here for 11 years and have made over 7000 posts, if this bothers you you should have been here when Culter was around, this headbutting is quite civil. I only respond to other peoples snarkiness. . Go back and read all the posts I respond don't initiate these scrimmages. Grizz is okay but we go back and forth , this isn't new. If you don't like it just ignore the posts.
  24. Literally 1 mil more than Floyd.
  25. Pace kicks us in the nuts yesterday and now makes us quit bad mouthing him.
