A few flaws in your projections. As much as I agree Leno is not going anywhere. Other than maybe 3 OTs available in free agency that will cost more than 10 mil that would be better, they will view the rest as not worth it. Loss plus new salary will not be worth it to them. Floyd is not worth 13 mil but as a LB he could probably get 7-8 mil in free agency. I think they offer him a contract and bring in or draft a pass rusher without a big contract to add to the pass rush. I dont think they get rid of Burton either. If he looks fully healthy, they will think he can be the 2028 TE. They will draft a TE and maybe bring in a reasonable FA. It wont be Henry or Hopper. Shaheen and Braunnecker will be let go. I think Gabriel being cut and Robinson getting a nee deal with a cap savings this year. Cohen and Patterson will be back, there weapons not easy to replace. I think they could redo Princes contract for cap savings and cut him if he doesn't accept. I think they have his replacement on the roster but may want one more year of development first.

As a ILB he would be a great idea. I think we have a decision to make bring Kwit back on a reasonable contract or give Trevathan a 1 year 6 mil deal to avoid drop off at the position. KPL coming back is a no brainer but using draft capital to fill a few positions that doesn't have a valid answer for us right now seems more likely.

I really think this is a very realistic draft. I would say that Reagor would have the most impact of any player we could draft that early. A good TE would help a lot but the TE group is rated the lowest among all positional measures. History tells us that 2 or 3 will be good TEs but rarely does rookie TEs have a large impact in the first year. Getting 2 potential OL starters if not in the first year but at least in year 2 would be a awesome draft. McFarland and Brooks would be first year contributors.

Braun is 6-3 and 235lbs , isn't that to light for a rush linebacker in our system? I remember Floyd at the same weight and people complained he was to light? We definitely need to a pass rusher but I suspect we grab a little bigger prospect. I think if they decide to keep Floyd on a lower cap hit deal they may just grab a situational pass rusher which could be on the lighter side.

I need to do more investigating before I throw shit out there.

Having watched tape on him but since you made that comment I definitely need to . Being in Thailand for the winter I have been looking at a lot of drafts not yet dwelled in a lot of tape on players. By the draft I will have did enough research to have more honest opinions.

I like your projections but don't think their going to do that. Glasgow is going to make 8-9 mil and I really doubt we do that. He will bring in a cheap vet and also draft one. I also doubt they use one of the 2nd round picks is a TE. I think they draft a OL- OLB or speedy WR. It depends on who falls to our picks. Kmet is the only one rated as a value at those spots . I think they trade back with one of those picks and get a 3rd round pick. I think they draft WR Reagon, OG Solomon Kindley and Anthony Gordon/ QB . They bring in Keenum but need a high prospect to develop. Later than the 3rd round will not get you a good one. Possibly the 4th they draft a TE , Trautman or Harrison Bryant could still be there. Rookie TEs rarely make a big impact. I think they sign Floyd to a contract at a cheaper cap hit and bring in a J. Pierre-Paul on a cheaper deal for the pass rush. They bring in a CB and SS as starters in free agency. , both those names will work well. My biggest concern is what they do at QB. Keenum will not be expensive but think they have to answer the position with a rookie for the answer if MT fails. That's why I think they draft a QB high.

No way Rivers is coming here Howard is not coming back and somewhere you lost Roquin Smith along the way.
-
That's a good point but Rivera is supposed to get total control given to him.

Available now. Tony Jefferson is being let go by the Ravens. Had a knee injury in October and with 7 million due this year they go for the cap space. He's 28 and an idea box safety. Good tackler and decent in coverage. Maybe a 1 year prove it deal at 5 million? Maybe a 3 year deal for 18 with 7 guaranteed? 5 against the cap this year? What say you? Will be cheaper than Dix and a better balance with Jackson being the FS all the time.

First of all explain to me why Washington would take Mack over Chase Young being they are not ready to be a SB contender ? Draft is afer free agency and would not work out.
-
Thoughts about ILBer . With Smith being good with his health then we bring back Kwit on a 4 year- 30 mil deal with 12 being guaranteed. Also bring back Kevin Pieere Louis on a cheap deal. Josh woods seems to be liked but I think Joel Iggy doesn't seem to be getting better. We draft one in a later round for better depth. Cameron Brown from PSU may be a fit in n the 6th.

They will get cap money, teams always do and Pace seems to be good at that. I see the problem being for who you cut another spot you need to replace. I think they think they have a potential SB run so what can you realistically cut and replace and keep a high level of defense. I think they first go to Floyd with a long term contract attempt. 4 year- 35 million with with 18 guaranteed and a cap hut in 20 at 7 million. Then they bring in a situational pass rusher type. Example Jason Pierre Paul.

This year he was bottom 5 , I'm referring to a career of being average. I'm in, the fact of being right is payment enough. Dont get me wrong , I'm all in for an upgrade, we just don't have a replacement in place. The cap issue and lack of draft capital leads me to believe he is unfortunately going to be the starter.
-
I think your eyes don't lie , Rodgers is great with only one SB. BRADY is great because he has won so many championships. When you see a QB over a period of time, they will show consistency. Mahomes has been great 2 years in a row, we can see it. Great teams overcome mediocrity in a QB. We have neither.
-
I think things contributed to his off year. Getting paid was never a thought. He is the example of never give up. New coordinator, lack of aggressive defense. Being on the field so much may have wore on him. Off year? Only year in his career that was bad. I'll take 5 years of great play for judgment not one off year. He is in his prime. Generational players usually start fading at 31- 32 unless affected by injury. If they decide to get rid of him it will under a new GM not this year. 2 bad years? Then you start to think about it, not one.
-
No way , if we look at last year , it gives you pause but Hall of famers do not grow on trees. 2018 happened because he came here. This year will be different for many reasons. If he goes to Washington and has 18 sacks, lots of special plays then what will you think? We need to make it work.
-
I think we fit the bill as a contender that an older QB might be interested in but without fixing the OL , dont seem them making the move here.
-
Floyd won't be going anywhere without a reasonable contract being done. If he signs a 4 year - 36 mil with 17 guaranteed , they will probably keep him. To be honest, he seems like a Patriots type of player to me.
-
If you go by NFL standards he is simply a average LT. He was down last year. He ain't getting cut. The only scenario is if they go to him and do a Long deal ( cut in salary) and he doesn't agree and they cut him. He needs competition. I see a rookie coming in and taking over if he continues to have poor play. Since there is no clear cut backup, he won't be going anywhere.
-
I don't think Henry or Hooper's teams let them get away. I'm not sure Ebron is consistent enough to get paid what he will command. I just Fells age so that won't be happening. It seems Jacob Hollister is the only one worth looking at. Probably will be a draft pick in 4th or 5th. To get the most out of this offense, the first 2 picks should be 2 OLs or a speedy WR with one. Probably draft a OT that maybe plays RT and switch to LT in one year then cut ties with him in 2.
-
What you get is new perspectives in the room with Dephillpo and Lazor . It is support for Nagy because he calls the plays. They have very little power other than to help coordinate Trubisky and the offense. It MT fails that will fall on Pace, I think us finishing 8-8 with so many bad aspects of the offense Nagy is also going to get blame if not quick turn around. The defense was 8th in the league even with our bad offense. I think they make a quick turnaround with Hicks coming back. The team is better than they looked last year.
-
Having all those penalties is a tell tale sign , he didn't have his shit together last year. If he the same as 2018 then it will work out but either a 2nd round pick has to push him or a vet on team because having a job given to him isn't working.
-
His moves got us to 12-4 in 2018 but a mediocre 2019 exposes mistakes. I would say this year will be the tribunal if he stays or if he goes.

Open forum for projecting fixes for whatever we need to fix. TEs: under control Burton Shaheen Braunnecker Horsted Saubert Holtz Raymond. Since the position was a disaster this year but have cap restrictions. I see Pace redoing the room. I think Burton ( if healthy) is listed #1 , Braunnecker gets cut, Shaheen comes back but will get cut before the regular season. Holtz and Horsted showed enough to be 3 and 4. The big Question is can Raymond play. Idk. In the draft there is no clear star but 8 prospects that might be good. In GBND report ( I like evaluation of players) Kmet/ ND is the only one that is ever considered a high pick ranked 36 on GBND report. Other prospects are H Bryant/ Wash, Hopkins/ PRU, Parkinson, Okwuegbunam, Harrison Bryant, Trautman, and Moss . A couple may go in the second round but most are 3rd and 4th round picks. You may get one to start and a few contributors but none will be a Henry or Engram first year star type. We have several U type TEs but Holtz is the only Y type with Shaheen failing on the team. So I dont think either of our picks in the 2nd will be a TE more of maybe a 4th or 5th grabbing a Trautman or T Moss. We could potentially grab a Free agent but it wont be a expensive one. Maybe a Hoelister/ Sea or Fells / Hou that can block and catch some. So I see Burton, Holtz, Horsted, Raymond being in camp. Maybe a Fells ( not expensive) as a Free agent. A 4th round draft pick Trautman also. With 4 making the Roster- Burton, Holtz, Fells and Horsted Practice squad: Raymond and Trautman Unless we grab a Henry or Hooper in Free agency, there is no star power in the room. Best we can expect is 2018 production from our TE group 67 receptions, 670 yards and 9 TDs. If the offense improves maybe 75- 725- 10. What say you?
