With all the things that have been bad, the most notable is the good players we have not playing up to par. That goes along way if they get their shit together and play better. All of them except maybe A-Rob needs to step up. We are not as good as we were last year but we are not as bad as we have looked this year so far. The turnaround starts today.(maybe)

NYC, I am not sure you can judge Nagy with a 15-10 record as a head coach as being a bust quite yet. Last year was great, this year has yet to be determined. If we can get back to 8 wins or up, the get rid of him talk wont be happening.

Hey Grizz, I downloaded the NFL app on my phone and its lets me watch games that are on NFL network and ESPN that I cant get . I have never checked on a Sunday but maybe you can watch the Bear game on there with no cost. Unfortunately it doesn't work in Thailand, i will be there for all of Dec and Jan. Luckily I found a bar that has every NFL game on it, so I watch them there.

It sounds like Goldman will play today. I have lost a lot of trust, but suggest 31- 13 win with a D TD today. I dont care if we win 3-0, I just want a win. Then one next week, and Detroit again. If we can find away to get to 5-5, I will be a happy camper. Last year gave us high expectations, but I'll be satisfied with a few wins, then I can get positive again.

They started the year with high expectations, as we did. We are 3-5 so they look for answers. The downfall of this year has many reasons. I think the OL needs to play better for the rest of the O to fall into better performances. Today's game will have a lot of answers for us. I think with Nagy coming in last year ,he went over the roster and wanted a new RB, so Paces moves of getting rid of Howard and bringing in Davis and DM was based on what Nagy wanted. One thing I heard that contributed to the whole trade deal was Howard was not in shape last year. It took him most of the year to get back in shape. If I was a coach, any player that came in to camp out of shape would not be high on my list to keep. This year Howard has lost a few pounds and went to Philly in shape. The reason Davis has not had any impact is because the O has been so pitiful this year, our starters have not looked well let alone backups.(excluding A-Rob) What sticks out for me as the main reasons for our demise is the OL and Nagy being stubborn to not change to adapt to our team this year, instead he has been stuck with what was successful last year and didnt adjust. He is now doing that with using the running game more . He needs to start using MT better to take advantages of his legs. Roll outs, moving the pocket and being under center. The next 3 games will go along way it telling us if last year was an anomaly or was what we have to look forward to going forward. Pace has some good moves and bad moves, that hasnt changed because we are 3-5, for me its just about being a winning team and he brought us that last year. For me to build my trust back into having a good feeling going forward is for us to win some games. If we can get to 500, I'll be back on the bandwagon and feel better . It starts today.

Your right on all of your points. At this point , you can only win the game in front of you, so that is all they should be concentrating on. The future will take care of itself once the season is over. If they win the next three games, the narrative changes drastically. We had such high hopes and the season started out 3-1 with a waxing of Minny. The first quarter was a success. 3-1 The second quarter was a 0-4 bust. So in 5 quarters of football we have I bad quarter, one average quarter and 3 great quarters. The arrow is still pointing up, just saying.

Nagy was coach of the year last year and is 3-5 this year. The only game we have been out of in a year and a half was the NO game who is considered the best team in the NFC. Every other loss we had a chance to win at the end of the game. Its a matter of so many breakdowns all at once, bad OL, MT, play calling, D not up to par, Hicks hurt. Nagy has 1 and 1/2 years experience at play calling in this league. They say the last 8 games he called plays in KC, but most people suspect still had his fingers on it. The league adjusted to to him and now he has to adjust. I THINK HE FIGURES IT OUT. The OL is playing bad. We are suppose to have one of the better coaches OL coaches in the league. THEY ARE CONCEDING THAT THE LINE PLAY CALLING MAY BE TO MUCH FOR A 21 YEAR OLD CENTER (PUT WHITEHAIR BACK AT CENTER) LONG WAS DONE AND COWARD IS GOING TO HAVE SOME GROWING PAINS. LENO AND MASSIE WERE NEVER STUDS AND JUST NEEDED TO GET FOCUSED MORE TO BE THE AVERAGE OTs THEY ARE. MT is who he is. MT HAS REGRESSED, NAGY NEEDS TO PLAY TO HIS STRENGTHS INSTEAD OF THINKING HE IS MOVING FORWARD. Last year we were blessed with good health. HICKS BEING HURT AFFECTS MANY ASPECTS OF THE D AND WE NEED TO ADJUST. NICHOLS HURTS A LOT FOR DEPTH. D not up to par. WE CHANGED DC THIS YEAR AND PAGONO THOUGHT HE WAS GETTING 6 ALL PROS THIS YEAR. HICKS IS OUT, SMITH HAS SOME HEALTH ISSUE TO START THE SEASON. JACKSON HAS REGRESSED. THE O BEING SO BAD HAS PUT THE D ON THE FIELD TO MUCH AND IS HAS CONTRIBUTED TO FATIGUE AND BREAKDOWNS. Everything is fixable except MT. Nagy will adjust, he is still a new coach with a 17-10 record. They are making changes to the OL , the switch and Long replaced. The play calling needs to put the OL in a better position to succeed. The D has played well for the most part, just need to get it off the field more so it avoids the fatigue at the end of games.Smith is playing better maybe Jackson was to full of his self after being All Pro last year and needs to focus.

How do you go from coach of the year to where we are now? Tough question. I think he is somewhere in between. He's definitely not going anywhere. I think he is caught in the middle of running his offense because he doesnt trust MT to being to stubborn to change what he wants to do and should do. He will figure it out, he is slowly going to the run game but still puts MT in the position of trying to do to much and he fails. Most good coaches adjust to their players, he is flailing in that so far.

We need to cut him so we can add a 4th round compensation pick. We only have 2 picks in the first 4 rounds.

Next year we have our own picks 2nd 5th 6th and 7th. Also Oakland's 2nd and the Eagles 6th that will probably end up being a 5th. So when we talk about needs, we have 2 that can address our needs and the rest are drafted as developmental prospects. With 2 5th s we get one that surprises up for being a potential starter. So our needs are QB, TE, OL and cornerback as I look at it. It will have to be in the second round so with the other pick it will be the BPA at the other needs. So we will have to count on people already on the team to replace areas of need. QB- we have none, definitely have to draft one and pick one up in FA. TE- Will draft one but may not be in the first two rounds. We have Shaheen ( that will probably be cut) Burton( who I think still has injury issues) Brauneker (special teams guy) Sowell(not destined to be on the roster) Holtz (some value as a backup) Raymond( on IR so we dont know what we have) Horsted ( we need to put him on the roster and see what he can do) OL- Whitehair is probably playing the best on the OL right now. Daniels has struggled but will be our OC for the future, Leno and Massie has been very disappointing but have contracts that suggests they are not going anywhere. Coward has had some good moments and many mistakes but thing he will end up being descent going forward. Our improvement has to come from Bars-Lucas and Mustiper and hope they develop into starters going forward. Will probably draft one but I doubt with our first 2 picks. DB- Fuller is still playing at a high level, HaHa is playing well(but will be leaving due to more money), Skine has actually played well, Prince will be gone so we can save 8 mil in cap, Next year we will draft a S or DB high but I think the starters will come with people on our current team. I suspect we resign Bush and he takes Ha Has spot, the CB starter will have to be between Shelly and Tolliver. Denmark and Joesph are on the PS so I suspect they will be moved up to the roster. Next year Trevathan will be without contract. I think we try to resign him at a team friendly contract, but we may have to use one of our 2s to draft a ILB. We have to resign Bush, RRH and I think we get that done. The defense has played bad at times but is still the teams strength.

As the year plays out, we will see who is good and who is just having a bad year. We definitely need a TE and possibly a CB to take over for Prince. We have some in the house but not sure if they can handle it or not. We need to see if Jesper Horsted can play since Burton has never recovered from his injury and has had no impact this year. I think Bars should be tried at OT to see if he can take over for Leno in the near future. His contract doesnt allow us to cut him until 2021. Also Massie cant be cut until 2021 either that still gives us dead money of 9 mil for both even then. We are pretty well stuck with the OL for a couple more years. If Bars turns out , he can at least take one of those spots over next year. Also Lucas is staying on the roster, maybe our replacements are hear, we have to just sit expensive OTs until 2021. Some where we will draft a QB but MTs replacement is probably coming in FA or a trade.

MT is not a pocket passer. He needs to be rolled out and bootlegs with a high low passing option or just run. He needs to be in a Balti offense that Jackson is in where you limit his passing and use his legs more. What's going to happen is, he will leave and be a backup and a coach will play to his strengths and will be a starter 4 years from now.

He is a decent NFL player, he played well Sunday, but just not worth being that high of a pick which gives him a high paycheck. With all the problems we have , he isnt that high on the list of major problems. He is who he is, not his fault Pace drafted him that high. Try to keep him but with a value based contract. 3 year -25 mil.

You can have a plan to draft a QB every year and then end up trading picks to move up for a player you want and in taking draft capital away, it overall affects the plan. When you have a Eddie Jackson sitting there do you take a 10th rated QB because you need to stick to a plan when you first started being a GM. Nope I think somewhere along the line, you could have found a spot to draft one in 4 years.

I think the condition on Howard had to do with snaps, not sure if it was 50% or 60%. Not pro bowl or 1000 yards. You haven't noticed Davis much because the offense is infected that it has had limited snaps and up until the last two games we haven't been running the ball.

I dont know why but when everyone is big pro Bears, we end up finding away of losing. When no one thinks there going to lose, they end up winning. I know the NO game was the exception. In the last One and a half years, the NO game is the only one we were never in the game. I think we find away to win this game. Nagy play calling improves, MT doesnt have any TOs and the Bears get a couple. 23-20 Bears.

What we will do is next year is bring another QB to compete with MT and also draft one. They are going to let this play out with MT and the prospects do not look promising. Nick Foles is making 22 million a year, we are not trading a future hall of famer for a expensive QB. They will find a cheaper option, who I cant say yet. They still think they can make the playoffs so they are going to fix what they can and go from there. Jax next year will only have 4.4 million in cap space and have to deal with the draft yet. They will be desperate to trade Foles and could be gotten cheaper that a Mack. For us to trade for Foles, we would have to do it by other means , not Mack. What good would weakening out defense to add a QB that may or may not be the answer. He has had 3 season ending injuries in 7 in the league. His risk factor is to high to weaken the team on over all success. You are not only losing Mack but what he does to boost the play of the other players on the team. Next year we have 13 mil in cap space and if we do not pick up the rookie option on Floyd, add another 13 mil. That will make it doable with losing Floyd and keeping Mack. You make that choice Bill. So I think the choice will be to trade for Foles with our first 2nd round pick or use it to draft a QB. I think we draft one and keep MT and have a player in place to go with if he continues to fail.
